105 Please Don't Be Rude

"I am but a stranger to you young lady, yet why did you approach me? And even helped my own burdens be lifted even just for a bit?" the madam looked at her with curiosity.

"Upon seeing a while ago, I remembered my own paternal grandmother. In a very straineous environment, she was one of those whom I can find comfort."

"She would also fall into deep thoughts and would forget her own surrounding," Amber continued with a shrug and a nostalgic smile.

"I want to meet your grandmother somehow."

Amber gently shook her head, "Too bad she had already passed away."

"Oh, I'm so sorry about that."

"Please don't be, atleast she is finally free from all the hardships in this world, all of them who had passed away that is," she reassured her.

"Can-"

Just as the madam was about to ask her name, her phone suddenly rang. She apologetically looked at her before answering.

"Where are you now?"

It was Ashton.

Upon looking at the time, Amber realized that there was just an hour left before the party at the reception would start.

"I didn't realize the time, I just got the dresses. I'll text you once I arrive, go ahead of me and mingle around."

After that she hung up.

"I'm so sorry I have to go, please take care. And..."

She removed her own gloves and pulled the elder lady's hands. She put them on herself and that's how she found out that, the elder lady's hands were already too cold.

She smiled before she run to the car she borrowed from Ashton.

The elder lady, was stunned by her movements but could no longer speak and just watched the car drive away.

"Madam?"

She looked to the side to see her butler.

"Your here?" she asked with a stunned look.

"You haven't return for the past two hours, so I have come to pick you up."

She nodded and before following him she gave the gown one last look.

Somehow her desire to give that young lady one last gift disappeared.

'That young one was right, if I still gifted that person after what had happened to her and my grandson then I am not supporting him.'

She looked at where the car have sped away before riding her own car.

"The scarf and gloves?" the butler couldn't help but ask.

The madam left hers inside the car, how come she has another set?

"Hmmm, a kind young lady lent it to me."

"You know her madam?"

"No, but with her unique appearance, I think I would be able to meet her again."

Ashton was standing on the side just looking at the people in the reception.

He mingled and spoke to some people but most were looking at him with judging eyes.

He didn't care as he just stood there.

He silently sipped in his glass just as the bride and groom arrived.

'That girl really, she loves being so random. I just hope on other special occassions she wouldn't be this late.'

He shook his head as he looked ahead without realizing that the couple who just arrived actually went straight to him instead of their table.

'Maybe I should have just waited for her outside,' he sighed inwardly upon seeing the couple right in front of him.

"You came," Glenn smirked with mock in his eyes.

"I was invited, I should at least congratulate you," Ashton replied without a hint of anything in his voice.

He raised his glass towards them before drinking its contents.

Everyone was already watching the spectacle.

Ashton Wright, whose name is currently in bad light, have not been out for almost two weeks since the incident about his company.

At the same time, he was once someone who was thought of as the one who hurt Madison Stevens.

There was no concrete evidence to this event so he was not convened. But the interaction between the Price and Wright empire speaks otherwise.

As if there was bad blood between them and most thought that the bad guy was Ashton Wright.

"Thank you, Madison is a wonderful person and I am very lucky that SHE is married to me now."

Glenn was speaking in an intimidating manner as he stared at Ashton who didn't show any emotion in his face.

"Well I suppose both of you are pretty destined to be together," was all he said.

Glenn couldn't help but to frown a little bit, for not once did Ashton glance at Madison.

"What do you think baby? This is much refreshing right?" he decided to make Madison join the conversation.

Madison smiled sweetly at him before looking at Ashton with disgust, "That's right, I can finally feel at ease now that I am your wife."

Ashton didn't reply but just glanced at her.

The tension was rising and everyone's attention were on the three of them.

Glenn smiled mockingly at Ashton after hearing Madison's words, as if saying, 'I won, I got the person you treasured despite doing all those things.'

Madison Stevens was a catch after all, a daughter of one of the best scientists. Her father was famous especially to them who has hospitals as their main businesses.

Not just this but her beauty was among the top as well, with her blond hair and blue colored eyes, she can be on par with those models and actresses.

Ashton still didn't comment, it's not like he has anything to say.

His feelings for her are no longer the same as before.

The two of them just looked at each other as if having a stare off. And the whole place somehow turned silent.

Even the music stopped, no one dared to speak.

They've only heard of the bad blood between the two but never saw it for Ashton left the country for more than three years and upon returning, he was very much busy with his company.

This is actually the very first formal event that the two of them were together.

Most of the time during the year end event for all royals, it is either Ashton was not around or Glenn wouldn't attend.

*CLICK CLACK*

The silence was broken by the sound of heels hitting the wooden floor.

Everyone looked towards the entrance. And watched an elegant lady walked towards the crowd.

She was wearing a tube gown, it was silver in color with a slit on one side reaching her thigh. As she walked, the slit would open and her slender white legs would be visible.

Her curves were on proper places and her height was enough to match her with the models walking down the runway.

Her hair was styled to fall only on one side and the waves were curved even more.

Her silver mask was a match to her gown, it even added more beauty to her.

She was smiling and her eyes were shinning as she walked towards the crowd.

No one could keep their eyes away from this elgantly walking lady.

Even Ashton was truly stunned, she loves wearing plain shirts and jeans. This is the first time he saw her doll herself up in such level.

Everyone followed her every movement until she reached the trio.

She glanced at the table for the couple before looking back at the two of them.

If she was feeling anything, it was not visible at all.

But Ashton could tell that seeing Glenn, angered her a lot for her smile turned too sweet.

"Seeing as the tablewears in your table remained untouched, I could presume that you must have walked over to my fiance's side the moment you arrived. You really want to meet him that much?"

Her voice was kind of sweet but at the same time it has this power in it.

"Fiance?"

It was Madison who asked, somehow for some unknown reason, she felt uncomfortable upon hearing this.

"Yes, my fiance."

She reached out and placed her hand on Ashton's arm.

Glenn first stared at her, feeling something bugging him but brushed it off, before looking back at Ashton.

"Oh, I never heard of this? Why so sudden? Even announcing it on our wedding day."

"Please don't be rude, it feels like your words are saying that I am just hired for a show."

She then exageratedly gasped, "Could it be that everyone is thinking in such a way. Should I be hurt Ash?"

Then she looked up at him as if she was truly hurt.

While Madison felt even more uncomfortable upon hearing her intimate way of calling him.

Ashton smiled gently at her before placing a hand on top of her head, "You just love living in a very low profile manner that no one truly knows you."

Glenn was once again surprised, he didn't know if he was just good at it but if he was acting like he really cared for this lady, he is really good.

"Amber Wood, we have been engaged for almost seven years now," he then looked at the newly wedded couple as he introduced her.

It didn't escape Amber's eyes, that somehow Madison's face turned sour before confusion.

'Could it be that her real heart still has feelings for him?'
