121 I Told You, Stay Put Will You?

Amber opened the door and what welcomed her was the smirking Joseph and the other four major shareholders of SNN Beginnings.

All the major shareholder of SNN were actually in Celestial Country.

So having a meeting with them was easiest when it was in Celestial Country.

But among this four shareholders, there was one who was staring at her in shock. He was already in his late fifties, with white hairs visible on top of his head.

Amber seeing his look and his mouth that was about to open, signaled with her eyes for him to keep quiet.

He was actually one of the minor shareholder in Cooper Empire, Noah Duston.

He was the only one among those whom Amber and Leslie bought their shares who decided to bet and became a major shareholder in SNN Beginnings.

The others wanted to start their own companies instead and sold their shares at a much higher price than norm.

Amber just knew that those money will return to her in double, so she decided to still buy them.

And now, their decision was indeed right, the income was already double of the selling price, together with their income as a shareholder at Cooper Empire, it was beyond what they spent.

In addition to that, SNN's collaborations with Cooper Empire was a good thing.

Noah Duston pursed his lips.

When Joseph called for them, he was talking about inappropriate things and all.

Accusing the new second in command of not properly working.

He was actually quite believable as he said this words, so they called for a meeting.

Yet who would have thought that the one he was accusing was actually the real owner of SNN?

Come to think of it, Noah didn't truly listen but it was actually the name Amber Wood that Joseph Fox have said.

He glanced at Joseph Fox who had a smug look on before he shook his head.

'You actually brought your own end, just how important do you think you are?' he thought before looking back at Amber who sat down.

'As for this president of ours, how will she solve this? Is she going to reveal her identity?'

He then sat back down and leaned back on the chair, his stance was like that of someone who will be watching a show.

"I see that we have our major shareholders over here. Is there really something that I have done for our major shareholders to come?" Amber asked in a serious manner.

"Well, since you were brought here by the president miss Leslie Lane, together with your high position, this was not a normal offense and could not easily be solved by firing you."

Another major shareholder said.

"We have to fire her," Joseph suddenly butted in.

"Please mister Fox, we have to do this properly," the same man said.

'Oh, they are quite reliable aren't they?'

If Leslie were already present, she would have smacked Amber in the head.

"Very well sir, how should we do this?" Amber became polite as she finally asked.

"Well it came to our knowledge that despite only arriving for a few days, you actually brought your fiance in your office and stayed there for half a day without anyone knowing what you were doing," the man replied in a serious manner.

"That was indeed true, I have indeed called for my fiance here," Amber replied back.

A smug look once again appeared on Joseph Fox's face.

"Then you do have an idea that the company does not really allow for you to bring your private life in the company. Especially since the person you brought in was an outsider," the man answered.

"I have heard of such manner sir," Amber still answered in her polite tone.

Because of this the man she was talking to was calm, he couldn't find in himself to truly get mad at her.

On the other hand, Noah was laughing inside.

'The owner herself has that right. She can bring anyone she wants and make use of her own office the way she wants.'

"Adding to the fact that you are just new, don't you think this is quite inappropriate being the second in command? One of the highest position?"

"I suppose if you look at it in a different way, that would be right sir. But what if I was sick and I called that man to help me? Would that still be inappropriate when all I did was sleep and him, watching over me?"

"That is indeed also right, but you have to know, you can take a leave if you are not feeling well. Then such problem wouldn't have risen," he once again said.

"That is also true sir, but I only started feeling sick when I was already in the office, midday. There was also a meeting with a collaborator that I must attend. I really couldn't just leave it half way through," Amber didn't back down.

"We have also heard that you were the one who closed it, but the way you have done it is quite unreasonable. Joseph Fox is still your superior. You have to remember that. And these two incidence happened at the same day."

Amber sighed, "Was that all mister Fox said about me, sir?"

The man she was talking to frowned a little, "It is his duty to watch over those under him, so his observations are also heard by us."

Amber nodded, "I understand. Then I have prepared some files with me sir. I wish you could read through it."

Just as she said this four other employees came in, holding a whole stock of folders. They each gave the four major shareholder a stock.

"There's none for me?" Joseph frowned and asked.

"Well, mister Fox, you have all these files in your office anyway, so I guess that should be fine right?" Amber replied with a smile, her smile that wouldn't reach her eyes.

Confusion filled the major shareholder's faces as they opened the files.

These files were all the contracts Joseph Fox signed together with some collaborators.

Amber didn't speak, no one did as they flipped through everything.

She just started tapping at the table, like the second hand of a clock ticking.

It was about ten minutes later that they finally closed the last folder.

"Okay, so what do you want us to do."

"Have you not noticed anything about them?" Amber asked seriously.

Each shareholder looked at each other. But no one dared to speak.

It was Noah who opened his mouth, "I don't know what you want us to notice."

'I actually already understand,' was what he said in his mind.

"But I can see that in the majority of these contracts, our company was actually in the losing side," he then said before glancing at Joseph, whose face turned pale.

"I see, it seems that all of you have noticed that. Then as I have heard from your words, you said majority, I wonder which contract was not?"

"Will you stop all these nonsense? We are talking about your inappropriate behavior here not the contracts," Joseph butted in.

"Don't worry, don't worry, we'll talk about inappropriate behavior later on," Amber dismissed him.

In a manner that a superior would dismiss his subordinate.

The other three had a bit of confusion in their minds, it doesn't feel out of place somehow, the way she speaks towards Joseph, who was supposed to be her superior.

On the other hand, Joseph also felt like it was right for him to wait, to keep quiet and just watch.

"Anyway, shall we continue? So what contract was not among those majority?" she once again asked looking back at the major shareholders.

"Why don't you pull it out of the pile and bring it forward?" she added.

The other three looked at each other while Noah did as he was told.

Come on, it was the real president who was asking. Why wouldn't he follow?

After seeing his movement they followed after, taking out only one folder before placing it forward.

Amber nodded, "Indeed just one, let me guess, that folder was the same contract that was signed yesterday right?"

Each of them nodded.

"So, is Joseph really doing things for the best of the company?" she asked them.

"At the same time, was he really watching the employees properly? Their behaviors?" she continued.

"Stop making things up miss Amber Wood. You may have been brought over by miss Leslie Lane but I am still higher than you. Stop accusing me of such baseless stuffs," Joseph once again opened his mouth.

"I told you, stay put will you? We'll speak with you once everything is settled, hmm?"

For the second time, Joseph could only keep his mouth shut.

"That's good," she then looked back at the other four.

"So next topic."

She knocked on the table and another employee came in, she was holding a laptop.

She placed it right in front of Amber and Amber tinkered on it for a bit before facing it towards the others.
