123 So This Work Of Art?

Amber looked at them alternatingly before she opened her mouth.

"SNN a month from now, will have two divisions."

"Two divisions?" Leslie asked.

"Yes, two divisions. We need to accept the reality Leslie, even with your capabilities, we are actually quite lacking on one side of our products," she replied.

"Hey I am trying my best in here," she complained upon hearing this.

"Don't take offense, even I myself have difficulties on this side, that is why among all our products, this particular one was always released at long intervals," Amber explained.

"What product is that then?" this time it was Brian who asked.

"The reason why I didn't stop Ashton from hiring you. You are a blessing from heaven you know, I was already planning on searching for one but then you were presented right in front of us."

Her smile turned a bit like that of a scammer who succeeded in scamming someone.

Brian swallowed as he looked at her, he started thinking whether he did the right thing of joining this company.

The way he was employed was almost the same as how they recruited Matt Edwards, the main secretary at the main branch in Star Country.

"Don't look too frightened, you act like you are not two years older than us," Amber seeing this complained as she rolled her eyes at him.

"H- Hey, I am just respecting both of you as my superiors and employers. Stop with the age will you?" Brian could only retort.

Amber shrugged, they have more serious matter to talk about.

"Anyway, the product I'm talking about was what you are good at," she finally returned to their topic.

"Are you talking about games?" he asked.

"Yes, that is indeed right. SNN actually may have their eyes on gaming but in the end we are still lacking on this department. So I really am grateful that you are here now," she explained.

They spoke more about a few of the specifics and the preparations before closing this topic.

"So we shall start separating the employees according to their specialties," Leslie concluded.

"That is correct, but I am still planning for a third phase," Amber suddenly said.

"Third phase? So this plan of yours was just the second phase?" Brian wondered upon hearing her words.

"Of course, the first phase was for the company to take a foothold within the world. The second phase was to separate the gaming," Amber once again explained.

"So the third phase is?" Leslie asked.

Amber smiled, "Maybe I should leave that for next time?"

"Geez stop being a cliffhanger and just tell us," Leslie complained as she furrowed her brows.

Brian could only watch the two of them, he can see just how strong the bond is between these two.

And somehow despite just entering he actually does not feel out of place or left out.

"And how long will you be staying this time?" Leslie finally left that topic and asked.

"I'll leave around early next year, we only have two months left before this year ends, I want to make sure everything is certain before leaving."

"You're leaving?" Brian couldn't help but to butt in as he listened to their conversation.

"Yes, I am. What of it?" she replied looking at him like what they are talking about was normal.

"But... I mean is it to go for another branch?" he asked.

"Hmmmm something like that. Wait why are you shock? Even if I work here that doesn't mean I must always be here," Amber answered back.

'Well, it's just I actually just want to see what you are made of, someone like you whom Ash would actually fall for,' was what was in his mind.

"Nothing, I just thought you would be staying here for good," was what he said instead.

"Well there are still so many things to be done, until then I couldn't stay put in one place."

Brian was thinking about the expansion of the company but Amber was talking about the other parts of her plan.

"Does Ashton knew of this?" he then asked.

"Of course he knew, why wouldn't he?" she asked in return, even furrowing her brows as if thinking that wouldn't it be normal for her to tell him?

"Yep you two really are something, hands up," was how he replied to her while really raising both his hands.

Leslie chuckled, "These two seemed to have one mind actually, back when we were just starting, both already understood what each other was talking about with just one word."

"Woah, never saw a person who could be on the same wavelength as Ash before," Brian replied with a laugh as well.

"Not only that, there are times they only need to look at each other, then poof they knew what was going on already," Leslie added.

Just as Brian was about to open his mouth, "Guys I'm still here."

Amber knocked on the table and took their attention.

"Also you are talking about me, so please bring this talk somewhere else. And since you seemed to be doing well, why don't you Leslie, tell him the things around? Now shoo, go and have your own worlds."

Amber even waved her hands as if truly shooing them away.

Leslie just shook her head with a smile before she left the room with Brian.

"Have she always been that random?" Brian asked just as the door closed.

"Oh, I thought you were a friend of mister Wright and his group. Didn't they tell you?" Leslie looked at him and questioned in return.

"About what?"

She leaned closer to him and in a whispering tone, "Their thoughts of her, was that she has switches inside her. Her mood change really fast."

Brian was a bit stunned by her sudden move, he was not that good with getting close to ladies.

He was always focused on the games he wants to create and he wants to play, so ladies were just... maybe... third in his list.

Second was his family.

"Oh sorry, I seemed to have intruded your personal space," Leslie, noticing this, stepped back and apologized.

"No, it's alright. I think I should get use to it. This is not my own turf after all," he answered with a smile.

In their company, since he was still a grandson of the master, they still take into account his own preferences.

But if he wants to really grow, he also needs to adjust and accomodate others.

"Well, you have a long road ahead, you'll surely get used to it. Since as you have noticed, Amber is a very peculiar person. But don't worry she really is reliable. Very reliable," Leslie assured him.

"Say I can clearly tell that she was the real brain behind SNN, by the way the two of you interacts. I just wonder, do you have... I mean someone way older?" Brian asked as they wait for the elevator to open.

"Way older?"

"I mean, SNN started like six years ago. Didn't you get any help on how to start it and all?" he explained.

"Oh," Leslie thought for a bit.

But the way Amber acted, it doesn't seem like she was hiding anything from this man.

"It's all just her. We did get some help from Devon Parker and Blake Thomas, regarding some employees but all ideas came from her," she explained.

*DING*

The elevator door opened and they walked in.

"Wasn't the both of you just around sixteen or so back then?" he asked unbelievably.

He finds it normal for Blake and Devon for they were still young masters of a prominent family.

But these two?

"Don't get me wrong, the company itself was started by Amber, I joined after the first product became a success," Leslie waved her hand.

Brian was even more shocked, she was all alone in establishing her company? Just what kind of monster was she?

"Then a sixteen year old started this company? This booming company?" he asked.

Leslie nodded, "She indeed started everything, though she loves acting all mysterious, that is why she needed a stand in. The pay was great so I didn't mind."

"You don't find it irritating? Almost every work was done by you since she seemed to be moving around a lot."

"Not really, she does almost everything, all I need to do was to show my face and execute her plan," Leslie shrugged.

That was how it has always been, every meeting was planned by Amber, she was only the executioner.

Brian was left speechless, he didn't expect this at all.

Hearing that she became a major shareholder in their Empire was already shocking enough. He didn't expect that she almost single handedly created SNN.

"Just that, she lost quite a lot of sleep because of this as well. If I already have a lot of sleepless nights, well she has more. So this work of art? It was filled with her determiantion and hard work."

Leslie added just as they arrived where they were planning to go.
