136 Jasmine Sarah Sco

Amber pulled away and stared at him, she had completely forgotten about it, that they didn't only play it back then.

Instead they played it in front of their families. Her brothers were present and that was the only time Nathalie and Ashton played Sonata Pathetique by Beethoven.

"I have completely forgotten, what should I do?" she held her head and her eyes turned to worry.

Ashton held her shoulders, "It's fine, they have no clue. They were focused on the song itself."

Amber calmed down a lot after hearing this, "That's good to hear."

"That is why we will get married once you are finally able to tell them who you are and we receive their blessings," he added.

"Blessings? They were adamant on giving me away to you, they have already given their blessing, unknowingly that is," Amber answered back.

Ashton gave her a half smile before he opened the door of the car for her, "Shall we go home then?"

"I'd love to," Amber replied with her own grin.

She knew too well, Ashton must have told them that she will be his and her brothers who were clueless actually gave consent.

Despite not knowing entirely if they would ever forgive her, she still would want to see how they will react once they find out.

Both Xander and Timothy were among those who stayed behind since the Price Empire was the host for today's gala.

"All of you, keep a close eye on those two, I want to know everything that you would hear about them," Clarkson commanded as they were gathered in another room.

Almost everyone agreed and nodded their heads or answered in a respectful manner.

"Do you understand, Timothy? Xander?" he pointed out seeing as the two of them were not in focus.

"Yes, grandfather," was how they answered.

~What are you scared off?~

Her words suddenly resounded in Timothy's mind upon answering.

'Such impact,' was what he thought.

Somehow ever since they met Amber, her words and actions have quite a strong impact to the both of them.

Something nobody else was able to do.

Something they never felt before.

"I'll trust your words, I can see that that woman is not simple, we can't let our guards down especially since her fiancé is Ashton Wright," Clarkson continued.

There is something he had been thinking ever since he saw Ashton when he was just in his teens.

It was his son, Nathan Price.

Both of them have quite the knack for business and they were very much talented.

In reality, he still felt sad about that son of his, he died without contributing anything for his father.

It's a good thing that Glenn got at least half of his capability.

But still Ashton has three fourths of it.

'If only that young man was my grandson,' he thought as he looked at Glenn who was standing on the side with a dark look.

The reason why Madison was used against Ashton and why he hated him so much.

Other than Nathan Price, no one was capable of winning against him but then Ashton came and his perfect standing was shaken.

He needs to clip his wings before he could fly even higher.

That's why he used his emotion, he used Madison whom he cared so much.

He used Carl and the company they started.

He would have crumbled during this second attack but in the end he became even stronger.

It's all because of that Amber Wood.

He heard it was her who was able to bring down the Barbers father and son.

At first, they didn't know but upon checking on her deeper, they found this piece of news.

It was not the Wright Empire but instead it was her.

Just who is that woman?

His face darkened even more as these things run through his mind.

Beside him Madison had some confused look.

First was the fact that she was jealous of the way Ashton takes care of Amber.

Why?

Was it because Ashton treated her badly while he treated Amber so gently?

Yet even this answer would make her ask, why?

Second was that Amber first looked at her with both pity and mock.

Pity? Why is she feeling pity for her?

Mock? How dare she mock her?

What is it about these two that makes her irritated so much? Especially when she sees them together?

There was one more thing, she already felt irritated about Amber but why did she have to steep so low as to actually remove her mask?

To embarrass her?

Was she always this petty?

Amber even knew that she did it deliberately.

'After losing my memory and encountering Amber, at the same time facing the man who was the reason why I lost my memories in the first place, I have been feeling so conflicted.'

"What's wrong?"

Glenn who snapped out from his own thoughts noticed her complicated look and asked.

"No, it's nothing. I guess I am just too tired for the night. A rest would be good," she gave him a smile.

"Shall we go home then?" he said gently.

Madison nodded as everyone dispersed.

"Are you sure, you're already fine now?" Gideon asked Cathrine worriedly.

"I am fine, I was helped by another person before I contacted you," she replied.

"Who was it?"

"You don't have to worry, it was a kind hearted person," she answered, not intending to say that it was Amber.

"I have already told you to be careful with what you eat, how did you still end up eating shrimps?" Gideon started reprimanding her.

"It must be the soup, must have some shrimp in them, I didn't know, I started feeling bad after I ate some soup," she answered like a good child.

"Well since it was hidden then there really is nothing we can do, it's just a good thing that you always bring your medicine," Gideon sighed and silently thank the person who helped his wife.

"Seeing that person today, do tell me what do you know about her?" Cathrine finally spoke the thing she wanted to ask after she watched Amber run out of the restroom a while ago.

"That person? Amber?" Gideon felt happy upon hearing that she started having interest in Amber.

"Who else would I be asking about? Madison?" Cathrine replied sarcastically.

"Aren't you always asking about her?" Gideon didn't back down either.

"She's a married woman now, why would I care about her?" Cathrine looked at him sharply.

"Who knows, you even wanted to gift her something on her wedding," Gideon said in return.

"Do you want me to ask about that Amber or not?" being in the losing side, Cathrine retorted instead.

"Geez, you started but you are the one getting mad in the end. Anyway, do you really want to hear? The real story behind her?" Gideon finally turned serious.

He was prepared, to tell her everything once she gets curious.

"Just tell me, whatever I hear I'll decide what to do by then," Cathrine replied.

"First I'll tell you of who she currently is," Gideon started.

This was just in time that they arrived to their own home. Upon entry to their room.

"She is the real president behind SNN."

Cathrine looked at him with shock in her eyes.

"Yes that is a very shocking news, miss Leslie Lane was her front and the face, but she was the real brain. So no one can really say that she was of humble background since SNN became quite big."

'Just as I thought, the way she carried herself was not that simple as just an employee,' she thought.

"Second I'll tell you of who she was," Gideon finally went to the main point.

It is this part where Cathrine would really decide whether to accept Amber or not.

"Then tell me, why act all suspenseful?" Cathrine asked in curiosity.

"Well, she is… Jasmine's daughter," Gideon spoke the name in a way that someone who knew the other, spoke of.

"Jasmine?" Cathrine's face changed entirely.

"Jasmine, James' daughter. Jasmine Sarah Scott," Gideon informed her.

This is one information that he haven't told the two children yet, not even James.

James Scott, one of the major shareholder of Wright Empire.

Sarah Price's real father.

The same person she runaway from.

The same family she didn't get the chance to meet again before she had died, even unable to introduce her family.

The real reason why Gideon didn't stop Liana and Kyle to befriend Nathan and Sarah, thinking that it must have been her fate to still return to where her family is.

"Jasmine? Jasmine ended up with a Price?" Cathrine asked unbelievingly.

"Who would have thought right? That that rebellious lady would end up with that family," Gideon added.

"They didn't know? That she was a daughter of someone under Wright empire?" Cathrine asked even more.

"She runaway and asked me of one thing, remove everything about her identity, from her family to where she came from."
