141 I... Don't Like Them

Amber stretched as she inhaled the midday air at Kuiper Country.

This country was known for being the home of entertainment. The weather was still the same as Celestial but since it was already almost noon, it was now warmer.

"Come to think of it, why did you decide to build your own company here? I mean why broadcasting? Quite far for the hospitals and malls of your family," Amber asked looking back at Timothy who was walking behind her.

"Who knows, when I thought I should make one, broadcasting was what came to mind," he replied.

Amber nodded before she pull out her phone and made a call.

"Are you here?"

"..."

"Gate 2?"

"..."

"Got it, wait for us there."

"You have someone to pick you up?" Timothy asked upon hearing her conversation.

"Why? Can't I have friends everywhere?" Amber asked as she kept her phone.

"Eve- *sigh* Anyway, give me your phone," he decided not to wonder what she meant by everywhere.

"Why?"

Despite asking she still handed it to him.

Timothy took it and typed before returning it to her.

"Here you go, just give me a call since both of us are here already. I'll help you when you needed one," he said handing her the phone.

But just as he took his first step, he was stopped by the arm.

"Where are you going?" Amber asked.

Timothy frowned, "I'm going to rest before checking on my company. What? You don't have a place to stay? Didn't you say that you have friends everywhere?"

"No of course not, that's not what I mean," she answered back before she started pulling him to the direction she got.

"Why are you pulling me?"

"Well since you already promised and she was the one who picked me up then isn't it normal for you two to meet already?" Amber explained as she didn't let him go.

"I didn't promise, I just said I'll try her out," he answered back.

"Well, ain't that already the same?" Amber replied.

He wanted to pull away, no one have dictated things to him and he always push them away.

Yet why couldn't he do so with her? Why can't he just pull his hand away from her grip?

What the hell is wrong with this girl?

This was the current question that played in his mind as he could only follow her.

Amber was currently enjoying this, that she could act so close with her brother. That she has the chance to spend quite a lot of time with him. Though she wishes that she could do the same with Xander, too bad his profession is far from here.

One thing she truly is grateful for, that Ashton understood her very own desires.

A smile appeared on her face as she kept pulling Timothy to the outside.

After coming out, she looked around and spotted the red Audi RS 5 Sportback, she couldn't help but to shake her head.

Well like she was one to talk.

If Alissa were already low profile enough, what makes her? Owner of so many companies? And a major shareholder?

"Hey, acting all low profile again, aren't we?" she happily said as she opened the door in the back.

This startled Alissa for she didn't expect to see Amber pulling a man to her car.

Amber pushed Timothy inside and took it to herself to bring both their luggage at the back.

Before she finally entered the car as well, sitting at the passenger's seat.

"I missed you," she beamed before pulling Alissa into a tight hug.

"Woah, slow down, I miss you too," Alissa decided to ignore the presence of the man at the back and hugged her back as tight.

After pulling away she removed her sun glass and cap before starting the car.

"You must be hungry right? Let me take you to my place to eat."

Timothy's eyes almost popped out of their socket upon seeing her.

"Amber..." he called out.

"I want a feast," Amber replied.

"A feast it is then," Alissa replied with a smile.

"Amber..." Timothy once again called out.

"Oh, can we have some pastries? I've heard that there are quite a few pastry shops that sell very delicious ones," Amber forgetting about the one at the back, kept talking.

"AMBER!!"

Timothy finally shouted, to which Alissa reacted by stepping on the break real hard.

Amber who was unable to put on her seat belt hit her head hard on the dashboard.

It was so hard that Timothy knows it would surely create a bump.

"Are you okay?" he asked instantly.

Amber sat up straight put on her seat belt and glared at him, Alissa slowly drove once again.

She knew that that was painful, but also knew that Amber only felt it for a little bit.

"Of course not!! Obviously that hit would create a bump and surely that would have been very painful," Amber exclaimed.

"Sorry," he instantly said feeling bad about it.

But then he remembered that he shouted for they were ignoring him in the first place.

"Wait a minute, it was you- Blood!!" he exclaimed when blood appeared on her forehead.

Amber was shock as well as she touched her forehead.

Alissa who saw a gasoline station close by, drove there and parked the car.

"Should we bring you to the hospital?" she asked worriedly as she looked at Amber.

"No, it is fine," she replied dabbing her handkerchief on the wound.

"Don't you feel dizzy?" Timothy, who already went out and opened the door beside her, asked.

"I don't, so it's alright," she answered once again.

"No, we need to bring that to the hospital. We need to make sure that nothing was indeed wrong, we have to have it scanned," he insisted.

Seeing as Amber was still about to reject he continued.

"See that, you couldn't even feel the pain."

"There's no point, I barely feel pain anyway," she answered back.

"What do you mean barely feel pain, don't go acting when it is really painful. The hit was hard that's why it's bleeding," he still insisted.

"I don't want the hospital," she still replied.

"We're going whether you like it or not," he then said before taking off her seat belt and carrying her to the backseat.

Amber was so stunned that she couldn't react at all.

"Go and sit with her," he then said to Alissa who could only follow not really knowing who this person was.

He used GPS to check the closest hospital before driving there at the maximum possible speed.

After some scans and check ups the trio finally left the hospital at 2 in the afternoon.

"I told you, there's nothing wrong," Amber commented.

"It's better to be safe than sorry, who do you think would kill me if something was indeed wrong?" he asked in return.

Amber didn't reply and he noticed how fidgety she was while they were still inside.

"You don't like hospitals, do you?" he asked.

"I... don't like them," she admitted.

Timothy sighed, Ashton have already told them that she was a very peculiar person, that she also has so many things she dislike just as there's a lot that she likes.

"Come on, let's just eat outside, I'll treat the two of you at the same time we should talk about the favor you asked," he finally said.

He no longer handed Alissa the car keys and drove the car himself.

Amber and Alissa sat at the back, despite being confused as to who he was, Alissa didn't ask and just followed after them.

The place they went to was one of the restaurants under Carter Empire, meaning it was one of those luxurious ones.

"Amber?" Alissa finally called out.

"I have a good news for you so just follow for now, I'll introduce him to you once we're settled," Amber assured her.

"By the way, why here?" she then asked to Timothy who was walking ahead of them.

She saw it after all, how he just showed a card and they were already brought to one of the VIP rooms.

"Harvey gave us each of this card allowing us to have the top service in their restaurants no matter where," he answered as he checked the menu.

He didn't hide it in front of Alissa, seeing as the two of them were already close. He knew that she would know sooner or later.

Plus after they heard Amber's question of the reason why they were hiding their friendship, each of them decided to slowly show it in public.

What's the point of being sneaky all through out?

None, they won't benefit at all, so they decided that indeed they were old enough to decide for themselves.

They weren't the heir of their respective families after all.

Ashton's were already the kindest so they no longer worry of him being an heir.
