175 You'll Know When You Get There

Amber was first stunned before she took a deep breath.

"Fine, then let him come here, I needed the first quarter event to be successful and for it to be, I need your cousin to perform. The only way fro her to perform is to get Mathew's approval that she is indeed ready."

"I'll try to contact him but I can't guarantee," Ashton replied honestly.

"I know but she is also your cousin, just please help me out," Amber asked.

Ashton was once again taken a back, this one never truly asked for help. Her asking now, only means one thing, she badly needed this to be successful.

"Thalie what happened?" he asked patiently.

"Nothing just get him here."

The next thing he heard was the end of call tone. This baffled him even more.

But he too was busy and that is why he understand that even though something is indeed bothering Amber, she wouldn't tell him.

He shook his head and gave Mathew a call.

"What do you want? Did you know that you just interrupted my delicious dinner?"

"I need you to go to Kuiper country," he replied.

"What? What do you want me to do there? No way, you do understand what place that is," Mathew instantly rejected.

"I know, it is your family's main country. But currently you have done something in the past that is hindering someone to achieve their dream and someone is really mad," Ashton replied.

Mathew who was about to eat stopped midway.

"The one who's mad must be Amber then who was the other? Why would you, yourself, ask me to go?"

"My cousin."

*CLANG*

Everything returned to him the moment Ashton said that it was his cousin.

There is that one time from a few years back that he visited the company for some rehearsal that needs perfection.

He was completely irritated during that time for it should have been the work of his cousin but because he was better, he was called and was tasked to return instantly.

It was a very tiring day for him because it was the same day as his flight but they didn't care and made him work nonstop.

It was already very late at night when they finish and just as he was walking past the audition's room, he heard her voice.

Compared to what he had been listening since early morning her voice was soothing but at the same time emotional.

Just that this kind of singing is...

He entered the room and stopped her from singing, he saw her name only and told her these words.

"Do you think you'll debut with such talent? Dream on, better go back home and just help your parents at home."

He was already irritated on that day so all of his anger was released on her.

Her emotions were on her singing that he couldn't help but remember his sister who have died not long ago.

It was just too sad that she fell sick and died. From then he was already irritated whenever they push such job unto him.

For he knew, the reason she fell sick was because they exploited her talent so much that she could no longer sleep well and eat well.

It just so happens that when he heard her sing, it was closest to his sister's death anniversary.

"Hearing such reaction you remember who I am talking about right?" Ashton commented.

'Yes I know, I sadly found out about it when I saw your family tree and saw her in it. I knew that your family are close that is why I felt so guilty,' Mathew thought but he didn't reply.

"So can't you do this favor for me?" Ashton finally asked.

Mathew sighed, in reality he felt guilty because her voice was really beautiful but he also knew that she might end up just like his sister if she were to debut under their company.

"Wait a minute, where will she be debuting?" he asked upon remembering that Ashton didn't spoke about their company and was talking about Amber as well.

Other than Timothy, no one else knew of Amber's company, not even Xander.

"You'll know when you get there."

After that he hung up and booked a flight for Mathew before sending him every details he needed.

Mathew could only eat angrily, he no longer has escape. Ashton must have known what happened he just didn't react and allowed his cousin to do what she wants.

But now that Amber was in the picture he no longer wants to wait.

'In this case, water is thicker than blood,' he complained in his mind.

*****

"He's coming," Amber said to Jake through the phone upon receiving Ashton's message.

She was also glad he didn't ask what was wrong with her.

She knew both of them are the same, if someone says they are not fine, one would surely fly instantly to meet them.

'You also need to build your own place over there, I'll try to become even more stronger,' she thought as she look down on her ring.

"That's good, we can help Gee Anne overcome her fear."

"She was not even going on an audition, she will be debuting. What scares her?" Amber complained.

"You really are distracted, obviously among all those children in Hughes Empire, Mathew was among the best. Being said that you couldn't debut with such voice by him will surely leave a very deep scar."

Amber sighed as she opened a wine bottle.

After returning, she found herself a condominium close to the company. She no longer stays with Alissa.

Just as she poured some on her glass, the door bell rang.

She furrowed her brows upon seeing who it was.

"What are you doing here?" she asked them.

"Don't worry, I was able to think and I feel better. For you are right so we came here to accompany you instead," Alissa replied with a smile.

Her eyes were puffy but she looked refresh.

On the other hand, Timothy has a poker face on.

Alissa suddenly rang his doorbell and asked him to accompany her.

The building they were in has high security so the reporters couldn't go in no matter what they do.

Every floor has this security code that only those on that floor knows, so even if some were to pass through the entrance, they wouldn't be able to enter the floor unless the person in there allows them to do so.

And on this level it was only her and Timothy.

"You don't look like you want to be here," Amber commented looking at Timothy.

He only gave her a look and she finds it funny, he acted as if he was helpless but in reality he was just trying to look out for Alissa who wanted to come out after being down the whole day.

"Come on in then. I just opened a bottle of wine, why don't you join me," she willingly opened the door for them.

Having company is better than having none, she also promised Ashton that she should rely on Alissa or Jake France as well.

Yet the one who wanted to accompany her fell drank after just a few glasses.

Amber chuckled, "She just wanted to check on me."

"You know her too well," Timothy replied.

"And? When's the wedding?"

Timothy who just took a sip couldn't help but spurt out what he just drank, after that he started coughing nonstop.

"Wow I never thought you could have such reaction. I'm amazed," Amber commented handing a tissue to him.

Timothy glared at her for he still couldn't stop coughing.

"Still denying it?" she asked as she took a sip on her own drink.

"Denying it or not, what the hell is wrong with your sudden question of marriage?" he retorted.

"Just asking, didn't expect that you would react in such a way," she answered with teasing look.

"Your words a while ago," Timothy decided to just change the topic.

"What of it?"

"You were also referring to me and Xander right? Alissa must have told you that he came to visit," he added.

Amber smiled, "Those words are for all of us. Let's stop holding back, shall we?"

This time she was asking him while looking straight in his eyes.

"Are you asking me to leave the Price Empire?" he finally asked.

"I am, you are a friend..."

'And my brothers.'

"I couldn't just let you experience the brunt of my revenge right?" she asked.

"You don't have to ask, I was already planning to speak with Xander once we meet again. It is no longer good for us to keep waiting, we must also live our lives at the same time," he answered her honestly and drank the remaining wine.

"Mathew will be coming in two days," she decided to inform him.

"Mathew? Why? I thought he really didn't want to return here," Timothy furrowed his brows as he asked.

"Well, he made someone scared to achieve their dream, it is just right for him to do the right thing."
