188 They Are My Children

"Sometimes, you need to take a step back in order to move forward," Amber said as Ashton drove the two of them to Capa cafe.

"I say, just because you were able to successfully buy all those shares, you actually made such move for the company. Are you giving it up?" Isaac asked.

He too saw the news and gave this young lady a call.

She was able to finish all her transactions yesterday and became a major shareholder of their company.

He just didn't expect that she would do this right after achieving her goal.

"I will never give up something I started myself, they are my children but in order for your child to grow, you sometimes needed for it to fall on its own. You just need to help them get back up," Amber answered.

After crying everything out last night, she felt much much lighter.

She glanced at Ashton and smiled.

Ashton was focused on the road, he already told her that he will be staying for a week.

"Capa is currently in a stand still. Jake France collection and his collaboration with Hayley Coleman, together with Gee Anne Pines' debut is helping it remain to where it is. But the sudden departure of two of your pillars is trying to pull it down," Isaac commented.

He was looking at Capa's stocks that was falling slightly and rising slightly as well.

"Miss Pines' is just the beginning. Capa have relied on its pillars for so long, it is time for it to start standing up on its own," Amber said with confidence.

Isaac thought back.

With everything that Capa went through, not once have he heard this lady panic.

"You surely are confident."

"Not entirely but I trust my employees. In the short run, Capa will surely be unable to rise back up to when the pillars are complete but I know that in the long run, it might even outrun its past status."

"I look forward to it then young lady," Isaac ended the call after saying this.

He somehow hopes that his heir would meet this wonderful young lady and learn from her.

Most of his grandchildren even his heir were only looking at the near future.

Whenever they run into a wall, they would think that it would already be a great disadvantage and would run to him.

At times, they wouldn't even try and remain stagnant in the way the company runs.

But Capa was different, at the beginning it was taking the careful path.

He can tell that Alissa Coleman's case was genuine.

Hayley Coleman's was different, they didn't say any kind of encouragement and just said that parting was inevitable.

He knew that they must have a fall out.

With this, they could have just let Alissa's retirement wait in order to not receive too much damage but she decided to release it in one go.

The pillars are outshining the new ones, she took advantage of these two issues and used it to give Capa a new boost.

But Isaac can also see, that if she were to succeed, Capa would indeed rise more than it fell.

Reporters were surrounding the cafe and the company but everyone was dodging their questions very well.

"Their departure will be the rebirth of our company," was all they would say, leaving the reporters with nothing else to pry.

Ashton was able to evade the reporters and entered the underground parking lot, allowing the two of them to enter the cafe without much resistance.

Jake was already there as well.

He came here upon hearing that a lot of trainees have decided to leave.

"You really gave me quite a problem," he shook his head and said upon seeing Amber.

Amber grinned, "I trust you aunt Jacqueline."

Jake shook his head once again before looking at Ashton.

"I don't know just how you can handle her."

Ashton shrugged not intending to reply.

"Both of them are already upstairs," he then said.

Before walking up the stairs, Amber called him again.

"Those who left only means that they are not for Capa. Slowly but surely, we will focus on those we have at hand. If there would be more who would leave the company itself, let them go. Try to speak with them but don't try to show that we need them."

"We don't because they need us. Capa was built to nurture talents but that doesn't mean it should be belittled by this same talents."

Jake smiled, "I know."

Amber smiled before she finally walked up the stairs. And to the surprise of both of them, even Mathew was there.

"Are you here for miss Pines? I heard she already has her schedules," Amber said as she and Ashton sat down.

Mathew frowned, "Why would I look for her. I am here to know the reason for everything as well. The big event just finished why must you try and destroy it the next day?"

Amber smiled, "Simple I had achieved my goal, Capa was built for that."

The three of them furrowed their brows, she spoke as if Capa was not important.

Amber laughed, "You all looked like you want to kill me for saying such words regarding Capa."

"Geez, you always act nonchalant," Alissa complained.

"Alissa I see that you have cried, did you perhaps blamed yourself again?" Amber looked at her and asked.

"Talk about yourself," Alissa retorted.

"Hayley will always be a family to me. Our fall out is just like you and Capa, it was inevitable for our points are contradicting each other and I can't hold back for my goal," Amber told her solemnly.

"Then what are you planning with Capa? No wait before you answer that, did you fight so hard? I have heard a hand print was visible in your face," Alissa asked.

Amber glanced at Ashton, he didn't react.

'He must have noticed it last night.'

"Do you think I wouldn't?" he faced her and asked.

"Thank you," was all she said, she knew the reason it was not swollen today was because he must have applied an ice pack or something last night.

Ashton did do so before putting her to bed, he also helped her with her eyes. It was still puffy but not as much if he didn't do anything.

"Stop doing that," Mathew complained instantly.

"Go and look for miss Pines then," Amber retorted before looking back at Alissa.

Mathew who wants to retort couldn't do so when all of them were ignoring him already.

"It was cruel of me, but for her to really learn the importance of people around her she must feel the pain of hurting those who tried to help her. In order for her to have a wider view of things, this is the only thing I can think of to really help her," Amber explained.

With the guilt of hurting someone who cared for her, Hayley would learn to treasure even more the relationships she would build in the future.

"You really are a busy body," Alissa sighed.

"And why was she fired? Because she slapped you?"

"No, I am not that petty," Amber instantly replied.

"The reason why her designs for Capa have turned lifeless was because she started designing for someone else. All her energy was placed on that and so the ones for Capa suffered, at the same time she didn't double check the dresses she created for last night. A pin was left on the last dress."

She didn't want to hide this from them, Jake already knew after she gave him a call last night, Alissa should know as well.

She also didn't mind having Timothy and Mathew find out.

"Did… the company know?" Alissa asked with uncertainty.

What Hayley did was truly something to be fired of.

"They didn't know about the other designs but they knew of the pin. They also know that Hayley and I were at odds so that's just it," Amber explained.

The company have already accepted the fact that she might inherit Capa, that's why Jake was letting her decide of such things. But no one still thought of the fact that she was actually the president.

Alissa sighed, Hayley was truly in the wrong this time.

Her success went up to her head.

She trusted Mark's words more than Amber's.

She became lenient with her work.

She even ended up hurting her, her cousin just to show her point.

"She… really made quite a lot of wrong decisions," she slowly said.

Amber didn't speak and just sip from her coffee.

Mathew looked at her with amazement.

"You really have a strong fiance don't you?" he looked at Ashton and said.

"Strong but a busy body as well," Timothy added.

"Ah that's right, you were the one being wronged yet you still did all those for her," Mathew looked back at Amber and said.

"I guess that's just how I grew up, watching over those who I consider as my friends and family," Amber replied.
