195 I Am Amazing Just Like Tha

"There are no not weird psychopaths," Amber answered him.

"Uhmm this may be a bit not in the current problem but may I ask who you are with?" Luke couldn't help but ask.

"My lover," was all she said before her hands once again danced through the keyboard.

Articles started appearing in front of her, all of which were the cases of the children being kidnapped and who were their families.

Luke was speechless by Pianist's reply, they still have no idea just who it was that was behind that voice, and it could be a woman or a man.

"Anyway, I see that he was searching for a match," Amber finally returned to the problem at hand.

Just then another message popped up in Ashton's screen, "I got you, you must be in Helios country right?"

"Who knows," was what he replied.

"You're not I see, it was a bluff," another message appeared.

Both Ashton and Amber were not nervous at all, being the top defensive programmer and the top hacker, there really is nothing that they should worry about.

Not even this psychopath who was trying to show off.

"What do you mean?" Luke asked.

"All the kidnapped children were either a son or daughter of a top programmer or someone who works in the IT world," she replied as she check each articles one by one.

"You already have them?" Luke was once again left speechless.

"Stop being amazed by me because I am amazing just like that, instead focus on following that truck," was what she replied.

She browsed through all the articles, everyone ended up paying the ransom while he left laughing with their money.

'So now, he decided to challenge two of the top hackers,' she thought.

"You're in Celestial country," another message.

"Try guessing more," Ashton replied.

He still needs to keep this one preoccupied in order for his attention to remain on searching for the dummy address he had set up.

'Now then, with all these information, if I am snake what more would I do?' Amber's mind started working out on how she would find him.

"The truck stopped at an old apartment in the corner of the main city," just then Luke said.

Amber returned her screen to this shots.

The driver went down the truck and carried the two children inside the old apartment building.

But before really going in, he looked up at the CCTV and smiled, he was wearing sunglasses that his face couldn't truly be seen. But it has the same features as the picture Luke sent her.

"Is he mocking us? How ridiculous when this happened in the afternoon when we still have no idea that the children were taken," the chief commented on the side.

Of course both he and Luke were on edge, those two are their children and they still have no idea just where this person could have brought their children.

"We should check that apartment," Luke suggested.

Just as the other side planned out how to get to that apartment, Amber was still typing seriously.

'There is no way it was that easy, all those whom he battled against with were top programmers.'

"Snake," she muttered.

Ashton who was still typing once in a while in his laptop approached her. And in it were a different screen it was a map.

She smiled at him. Both of them have the same thought.

He used the code name Snake and a snake would most of the time be on the dark side of town. And the dark side would always be.

"Drainage," she then said.

She put the phone in mute mode in order not to distract the other side.

She will use them as distractions for surely, Snake would be watching closely for them while he tries to hunt down the Pianist.

If they made a little mistake ad made him know that the police are up to something else then this would become difficult.

The two of them followed the drainage.

"The hideout, if it was on the drainage it would surely not appear on the map. What do you think would he do?" she asked Ashton.

"Carrying those two children in would arouse suspicion if people were not on his side," Ashton started speaking as well.

Amber typed and found out that there were only about two to three tenants in that two-story building. And the owner always stayed on the first floor.

"The best way to get to the drainage would be through the first floor," Amber commented.

"I'll get other people to check those drainage, you focus on this person. Surely he and that person..."

"Yes, I also think that the one who looked up was not the same as Snake."

Amber continued what Ashton was saying.

He stood up and made a call while Amber returned to the screen where Snake was still trying to guess where she is.

It's not that, it was not easy for her to find him but that she wants to take hold of those children before she truly confront this person.

"Quite difficult indeed, you really are among the top. But I must say, I think I am close to where you are already," Snake typed a message.

"Try and guess more, but I must say, you yourself are quite amazing. I couldn't pinpoint your location at all."

But just as she said this, she got the IP address of Snake.

Seeing this, she backtracked where this IP address first appeared.

And it was on the same place where the truck changed appearances for the second time.

'So he still met with them before they parted ways,' she thought as she took hold of the time that this appeared for the first time.

"What time did the kidnapper call you?"

She unmuted the call and asked Luke who was still busy preparing for the rescue mission.

"Why would you ask? Well it was around five in the afternoon," he asked but still answered.

When she looked at the time, it was the same.

'So he used his capabilities to hide his location while making his demand,' she thought.

With this, she started following the car where the address was located.

She was not afraid that it could be a dummy one for everything she needs pointed to where this car is.

"So have you found me?"

Another message appeared on her screen.

"Tell me first, why are you really doing this? All the children you kidnapped were children of those in the IT world."

She replied as she kept her eyes focused on the blue car that was moving on another side of town.

It was the opposite of where the apartment was.

"Because people just couldn't see. I am an amazing programmer but all they do was to neglect my presence, I hate them," was the reply.

She squinted her eyes upon seeing the destination of that same car.

'No wonder the police had a lot of difficulty looking for you.'

She was laughing on the inside as she shook her head.

"We are going now," Luke informed her.

"Go ahead then, let me ask one thing. How many of you are there?" she asked.

"Other than the chief and I, the others are outside planning out," Luke answered.

But confusion filled him. She had been asking questions that were a bit different than his expectation.

"What is it?" he asked.

"Just continue with what you are doing, I'll explain later," she replied before typing another message.

"What about the money?"

"Oh money will always be everything, that is why having it is a plus as I show everyone just how amazing I am."

The moment she read this, another message came in.

"I see that you found my hiding place, the police are moving."

"Well, you wanted to be seen after all," she answered.

"Because it's getting boring, being always unseen and always slipping away from them."

She can once again hear him laughing.

"And you think so highly of yourself that you wanted me to join the chase?"

"*laughs* I like the way your mind works. You can grasp what I wanted the moment you read what I typed."

When she looked up, Ashton gave her a nod.

"No, it is because I am now looking at your face that I know."

Her screen displayed his face, he has average look and seems to be in his late twenties.

She can see that he had a shock look that soon turned to smirk.

"You think I'm lying? Why are you smirking now?" she typed again.

And she can see that Snake's smile slowly dropped.

"You are lying," he then answered.

"I wonder if I am."

"Don't try anything funny, the children are still in my –"

"You must be typing that the children are still in your possession, now I really wonder about that?"

This time her distorted voice came in through his speakers.

Snake almost jumped out of his chair.

"The police went to the place you wanted them to but that doesn't mean that no one went to the right place where you brought the children. You really think too highly of yourself, don't you?"
