"Oh that's right, the president actually gave him to me to be my partner just because he was kicked out of their company," Gee Anne instantly complained.

And for the third time she pointed at him, he slapped it away but he was already glaring at her as if he was ready to bite her fingers off.

Amber looked at them in amusement, Mathew was of the same age as Timothy but he acts like he was of the same age as her or maybe even younger.

Back in the day, all she thought was that he was someone who would only act weirdly when he was facing food but now she can tell that he was indeed a weird person.

"He is the weirdest within the group," Ashton knowing what was going on in her mind, said.

"I can see that now," she replied with a nod.

"I am not as weird as you are," Mathew hearing this, instantly complained.

"I am weird in a good way, much better than you are," she replied with a grin.

Before looking back at Gee Anne, "I think there must be something between the both of you that is why when this person was kicked out, aunt Jacqueline still agreed to take him on."

Following what Gee Anne had been doing, Amber also pointed at Mathew.

He wanted to swat her hand away as well but Ashton was standing in between them and is glaring daggers at him.

"What's wrong with all of you? I came to help your company in this perilous time and you all act as if I am not wanted here," he finally snapped and complained.

"You are not," Gee Anne and Amber said at the same time.

Their tones were confident that says, he really was not wanted in Capa.

"You-," his finger pointed at them moving from one to the other.

"And why were you kicked out?" Amber finally turned serious and asked.

Mathew started shaking his head, "Sometimes I really wonder if I am older than you are."

"You can keep wondering but the way you act was way below than your actual age," Amber replied.

"I also have no idea why I was suddenly thrown out. But was also tasked that I would only be accepted back if I were to train here. Something I really don't understand," he finally answered her question.

Amber's lips twitched upon hearing this.

'That old man, using my company as a training ground for his grandchildren,' she thought as she walked padt him and entered Jake's office.

"Cancel, your contract with that man," she suddenly said after barging in.

She left the door open and she pointed at Mathew who was standing outside with the other two.

Jake looked at her in confusion, "What's with that sudden request? Having him on board is a good thing for the company."

"I don't want," she added.

"Hey, hey, calm down. You can't do this to me," Mathew entered followed by Gee Anne and Ashton.

"Why can't I do it? Does your old man think that this place is a training ground?" she asked in return.

She seemed to know his grandfather with the way she spoke.

But instead of answering him, she took out a phone, the phone she had been using when she speak with Isaac.

The moment her call went through, she instantly complained.

"What do you think of my place old man?!?"

Gee Anne and Mathew couldn't help but to look at each other.

"Why? He is a good seedling, try and train him will you? His not a bad addition to your talents," Isaac wanted to laugh.

Ever since he started speaking with this person, she was always in control and would always be nonchalant of things.

This is the first time he heard her react this way.

"Good seedling? Which part?" she asked looking at Mathew up and down.

Mathew frowned before he slowly looked at Ashton, who was already sitting by the couch having a cup of coffee, that he had at some point in time.

Ashton just raised an eyebrow at him.

Mathew shook his head in disbelief. He didn't want to accept what it was that came to his mind.

He then looked back at Amber who was still glaring at him.

"Young lady, you seem to know who he is. Why not accept him for a bit," Isaac truly wanted to laugh.

He of course knew how weird this grandson of his is.

"In one condition," she relented unwillingly.

"I won't try and pry on your business from now on. Good enough?" Isaac had an idea of this condition of hers.

"I recorded it," Amber replied.

Isaac finally laughed and Mathew heard this laugh.

His eyes grew wide, there was only a few times he heard his grandfather laugh.

And because of that, with his outstanding hearing, he knew it very well.

He once again looked at Ashton, who was no longer looking at him but was instead staring at Amber with amusement.

"Old man," Amber finally said before ending the call.

For the second time, Isaac laughed at the antic of this young lady.

Even his secretary was shock to see him like this.

"I wish that my grandson would be able to woo this young one but I can tell that it would be impossible," he commented after keeping his phone.

"Sir?" the secretary spoke up.

"Yes?"

"I am just wondering why did you send sir Mathew instead of the others? He barely stays in the company," it was a question running in his mind for the whole day, since Mathew was kicked out.

"That is why I sent him, his mind was not in the company. He was not competitive for the position and could learn more than those who would only think about what they will gain for the company," he answered.

"You really are not planning on making him your heir?" the secretary kept asking.

Isaac looked at him, with his eyes smiling, "Among all of my children and grandchildren, he was the only one who was adamant on not taking over the company. He was the only one who never wanted to use our power and instead wanted to grow on his own."

He then looked outside the window, "With what happened to his sister, I just couldn't find it in myself to stop him from doing whatever he wants. No, to be more precise, I want them, all of them to find their own paths."

Precious was a lesson to him, he indeed allowed her to do what she wants but he didn't watch over her properly.

That is why he had vowed to watch over them on his own way.

Hughes may not be as warm as Wright but their Empire still treasures the connection of family.

After ending the call, Amber glared at Mathew.

"You have no family name here. No matter what, you will have to follow every rule that we have here. Especially, no lazing around."

Mathew slowly nodded as he was still in shock of the realization he still wants to reject the idea of.

"Your old man, left you in this company. You have no right to complain. Do you understand?" Amber continued.

"Ye- Wait a minute!! What the hell is going on here? How can you speak with my grandfather in such a way?"

"Was I not obvious enough?" Amber looked at Ashton and asked.

"I think you are," he replied before looking at Mathew.

His eyes were saying, 'You really are too slow.'

"Shut up," Mathew said even though Ashton didn't speak.

"Find out on your own, but let me just remind you that your grandfather, haven't seen the face of the one he is speaking with in the phone," she said before she bid Jake goodbye.

"I just came to check on you, seeing as you still have the energy then I will be going now."

Ashton stood up and followed her out after nodding at Jake.

Gee Anne who was not interested with their conversation but have heard of Amber's decision could only give him one last look before leaving as well.

She knew that Amber's words were the real voice of the company, that is why she can no longer complain.

"What's going on?" Mathew who was left speechless by their reactions looked at Jake France and asked.

"Try and solve it on your own first before I tell you anything," Jake replied with a smile before he returned to his work.

Mathew was left to think whether the idea on his mind was right or not.

He could only leave the office with this weighing on him and go to where his schedule would be given.

He was already instructed a while ago by Jake France and was on his way there when he met Gee Anne along the way and where Amber and Ashton met them.

'It's impossible right? She was already a major shareholder at Cooper Empire. She couldn't be… a major shareholder… in our company… right?' he thought full of uncertainty.
