214 Should I Still Be Asking

That's all Xander could say, but even that was not enough to show just how much grateful he was for being the elder brother of Nathalie.

"Would thanking her be…" he couldn't finish what he wants to say for he has no idea what appropriate word would fit for this.

Timothy slowly shook his head, "I don't think she would have wanted that."

Xander chuckled, "Though I think I'd feel even more awkward towards her."

"I guess we can have the excuse of not knowing of her for so long?" Timothy replied.

"Aaaah," Xander squatted down.

"Should I be embarrassed for being older or should I be happy I have a sister like her?" he then asked.

"Both?" Timothy smiled at him before sitting on the grass.

Xander followed and the two of them clink their cans before drinking a few gulps.

"Now, what do you want to tell them?" Timothy asked.

This was in regard of his question to Xander when they were first held captive.

Xander thought before smiling sadly.

"I guess I would first be grateful to them for bringing us to this world and for always thinking about us."

Timothy nodded as he listened to him.

"And then thank them for taking good care of Nathalie even risking their lives for her. And then I would apologize?"

"For doubting their love for us and for hating them all these time," Timothy continued knowing full well what Xander is currently feeling.

Xander nodded before drinking another gulp.

"I also would like to tell them that I really was a lucky person, they didn't only think about money and treasures but instead was thinking about their children and their well being. Only a few in this place would think of that."

Xander paused for a bit before continuing, "Especially with the family we currently have, the most hideous one, we really are lucky that they are our parents."

Tears started falling once again as he started speaking.

"I want to hug them, I want to see them so badly. I want to tell them all these in the face," he sniffed wiping the tears that have fallen.

"Me too," Timothy started.

"I want to tell them how grateful I am and how sorry I am for not believing in them despite all the love they have showered us. How grateful I was that the ten years I have spent with them, all I had were happy memories," he continued.

Xander sniffed once again before drinking another gulp.

"We really will never see them again… right?" he then asked.

Timothy shook his head, "We no longer have that chance."

Xander wiped more tears before drinking more beer.

"They didn't get the chance to see us settle," he then said.

Timothy chuckled wiping his own tears, "I remember that, when we were with Ashton's family."

"I still remember mother cried back then when they talked about us getting married someday and leaving home," Timothy added.

"Yes, I remember that, she was always the emotional one but still the serious one. And between father and her, father was the playful one," Xander once again said.

"Remember that one time when we were playing with father and we broke a vase that mother loves so much?" Timothy asked.

"I do, father, you and I were made to kneel in the garden for half a day. Then it was Nathalie who came to us massaging our shoulders with her little hands. Even though it was our legs that were sore," Xander continued.

"Hmmm, then mother feeling bad for the three of us cooked all our favorites for dinner," Timothy said.

The two of them were crying as for the first time for so long, they reminisced about their parents.

"Thinking back now, we really had a wonderful childhood didn't we? As compare to other kids of the empire, ours were the most colorful, Timothy commented.

Xander nodded, "Because mother and father were the most loving parents in the empire. That's why we are so lucky."

They each wiped their tears.

It was then that two pairs of arms enveloped each of them from behind.

Xander was too shock for without looking he knew this arms too well. Way too well.

Timothy looked back instantly and was welcomed by Alissa's crying face.

It was just six hours ago when he was speaking with her in the phone, yet here she was crying right in front of him.

(At this point the conversations were done at the same time but they would be separated.)

**Timothy's Side**

He cupped her face and wiped her tears, "What are you doing here? Weren't we just talking in the phone a few hours ago?"

Alissa smiled, "Amber sent someone to pick me up. Said I should really join the fun."

She then chuckled, "Typical her."

Timothy smiled as well.

She was kneeling while he was sitting on the ground.

"By coming here, you already know. You have accepted all the offers I am about to give," he then said as he caresses her face.

"I wouldn't be here if I didn't want to accept everything, hardships or what not. But I must tell you, I have never been in a relationship before."

Timothy chuckled, "As I have, I guess we'll have to be patient with one another."

Alissa smiled before their attention shifted to Xander and the woman who suddenly stood up.

**Xander's Side**

He can feel her crying behind him, he slowly turned his head and relief instantly fell on him.

"Samantha," he called staring at the woman behind him.

He turned around in a kneeling position the same with Samantha.

She has black long straight hair and light brown eyes. They were a pair of big round eyes with long eyelashes, with her button nose and full lips.

He stared blankly at her as she cried there in front of him.

"Hi?" she said.

Xander returned to reality as he pulled her into a tight hug, "I couldn't get through you. I was so worried."

"Well damn I am worried about you as well," Samantha said.

She was not the same as those other girls who were elegant in carrying themselves for she was on the boyish side.

Maybe this was what captured Xander's attention for she was way different than the other ladies trying to get his attention.

He pulled away and checks her, checking her arms and face, "Are you okay?"

"I am so relax, I should be asking you that instead, how are you? Were you hurt?" she replied as she too checks on him.

There were few grazes but over all he has no major wounds.

"I am also fine, they were just little wounds," Xander answered before hugging her again.

"Were you fine all these time? I mean it has been two weeks," he said as he caressed her back.

Samantha shook her head.

He instantly pulled away feeling her shaking her head, "What happened?"

"We should be thanking your sister for the chance that we get to meet again," she replied looking straight in his eyes.

Xander nodded his head, "Yes I would forever be grateful to her but what do you mean by the fact that you weren't alright? Were you that worried? Did you fall sick?"

"Of course I would be very much worried but that I, too, almost got kidnapped and who knows where I would have been if I was not saved in time," she answered honestly.

She didn't want to hide this part from him.

Xander stood up instantly upon hearing this, pulling her up with him but in a gentle way.

"What happened? Who would? Who would-"

He no longer needed to ask whom, it was obvious, very much obvious who would try and take her away.

"I couldn't even protect you by keeping you hidden?" he asked her as he grabbed his hair.

"They are an Empire after all, there is really so little we can hide from them. With the way we always meet? It was obvious that they knew of me," Samantha explained as she held his hand.

"Then who helped you?-"

He stopped before shaking his head, "Should I still be asking?"

Samantha smiled at him, "Yes I heard that it was your sister and her fiancé who ensured that I was secured all these time. When I was about to get kidnapped they saved me."

"But did you trust them just like that?" he asked.

"No, of course not, you know I am not the type to easily trust someone. But I got a call right there and then, she spoke to me herself and asked me in a very patient tone to trust her."

"She always had that power, didn't she?" another voice butted in their conversation.

They looked to the side and there, Timothy and Alissa were already looking at them.

The question coming from Timothy.
