305 Our Favorite Water Works

Russel scoffed, "Too much? You call this too much? Me ignoring you? What have you've done in the past? Did all those abuses not more than too much?"

"And here comes our favorite water works, have you not grown up from this? Aren't you getting tired of crying just to get the pity of everyone?" Russel then said when Gwyneth started crying.

And of course they are getting quite some attention because of this.

"Well, everyone since you have decided to watch us. Why not watch me hit her as hard as I want, then maybe the rumors that you would spread will be true."

Russel spoke after hearing a few side remarks of her not feeling pity for her sister.

"Why would you be bullying your sister in the public?" one remarked.

"Sister, please don't vent out on the people. I just want to speak to you, I don't care if all the shares were handed down to you. I just want you to understand, if you spend too much now. Then you would finish everything. What would you do by then?"

Gwyneth was smiling happily inside when she got the people's attention.

Yes, this was what was lacking of Russel, her capability to manipulate people.

More remarks were heard on the side after this. They were reprimanding her for spending everything like it was only hers when she has her sibling.

Russel applauded, to the shock of everyone, "Wow, you should have entered entertainment then maybe you would be able to reach the top. You're such a good actress."

"Sister please, I was just concerned about your well being," Gwyneth kept going.

Russel already found it below her to talk to her and just remained silent letting the people around them to comment whatever it was that they wanted.

Unfortunately, someone brought the man beside her in into the conversation.

"That man must be with her for the money she had inherited, I really hated people like her and him."

Russel raised an eyebrow and faced the one who talked. Harvey was carrying quite a lot that his face was barely being seen by this people.

"You who keeps talking and talking by only believing one side of the story has no right to say you hated someone. Why can't you look at yourself first before judging others?"

The lady just raised an eyebrow towards her, "Look at the two of you, I can very much tell that you two are up to no good. I feel pity for your sister."

Russel didn't smile nor said anything back before walking back to where that person was standing.

And without prior notice she raised her hand and hit her hard on the face.

And no, it was not a slap but instead it was a punch.

"You dare-" her eyes grew wide when she stumbled back because of the force.

"I don't care. Whoever you are, I dont care. But you just have to go and run your mouth knowing everything. Painting me and my companion with your dirty words. Let me tell you one thing, those shares that woman is talking about is not with me, It had been sold already."

Russel wiped her fist, "And the money? Well it was still sleeping in the bank. I can manage myself just fine without those so called shares."

Just then the ones trying to remember just where they saw this person, finally remembered.

"I know her, it was Russel Bareford, she was among the top of the culinary world. Her story of climbing up all by herself was very much famous, the university itself was the one that proved that she was a scholar."

"No one wanted to believe it that they even investigated her background and found the apartments she lived in. It was then proven that she was all alone when she started her journey in the culinary world."

The lady that was punched were stunned as she looked at the one who said the information.

The moment she turned around, a phone camera was right in front of her and a photo was taken.

Russel proceeded to take pictures of the shock observers that talked against her.

"What are you doing?" one asked as he covered his face.

"Nah, just wondering what you lot will do when you are to be banned by most restaurants? I don't know what you are doing, but with just a simple face search I'd understand what it was."

Their eyes grew wide, "Really you should know who you are talking to before running your mouth with some rubbish."

She then turned around and walked to Harvey, "And for you. Have you forgotten what my name is? You can try and pull me down but it will be you who would be falling instead."

"Try this stunt one more time and I will make sure that you will never ever step in a starred restaurant again."

"Do you think your measly influence would be able to do anything against us all?" Gwyneth said in gritted teeth.

"I'm sorry, who said I was alone?"

"Geez I was wondering what was with this commotion, yet here I find my apprentice being entangled with such low lives. Why don't we get moving now?" another voice came butting in.

Russel didn't see him but he thought with her declaration it is nice to butt in here.

Russel looked at him in shock, it was Simon Peterson and he just called her his apprentice.

Who wouldn't know of this person? Despite losing his superb sense of taste he still has a lot of influence in this world.

He walked in the middle of everyone and gestured for Russel to go.

"My student is losing his patience now, shall we get going?" he then added making sure that everyone knew.

And of course most of them knew just who is the student of the King of Palate, none other than the Prince of Refinement.

These two together with the Sorceress of Creation, she who was able to use the most common ingredient in order to make something new and even more delicious. Their power alone was enough to shake the culinary world at its core.

The people, together with Gwyneth had their mouths open by this sudden turn of events.

"Do send me those pictures, I should make sure my colleagues knew that those people are not good for their restaurant."

And as a final blow, Simon once again speak up with loud enough voice for all of those people to hear.

Those who were neutral and was not defending Gwyneth started looking at those people with pity and sarcasm.

They shouldn't have fought against someone just because of some random scene.

While those whose pictures were taken started glaring at Gwyneth and some even approached her.

"You little witch, how dare you use those crocodile tears of yours. You will pay for this."

And Gwyneth's wailing as heard without anyone trying to help her.

"Thank you about that," Russel said to Simon as the three of them reached the parking lot.

"Nah, its nothing. Simple words, that's all," Simon shrugged.

He then bid them goodbye, he gave Harvey a glance before turning on his heel. He knew of that person but it is not his place to ask about what their relationship is.

Harvey silently placed what they bought at the back of the car and went to the driver's sit.

Russel was massaging her temple for I started aching after being faced with such event, Gwyneth is truly a handful.

And so the ride back home was once again filled with silence.

Even after getting to Harvey's place, they each did their own things and Russel was helped by the maids with her things.

Harvey went straight to his study.

Today, it was obvious that Russel no longer wanted to say anything to those people but when he was pulled in, she stepped in without second thought and fought back.

That's right, she stood up for him even if it was unnecessary.

"Standing up…" he muttered as he leans his head on the chair and looked up at the ceiling.

Ashton was right, among them, he was the only one who remained passive towards his Empire. He was the only one who still didn't stand up for what he wants to do or what he wants to protect.

He sighed and looked down at his phone that was still being terrorized by the calls coming from his family.

He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and finally answered it.

"So you finally decided to answer your call? Is this how I raised you? I told you to protect the Empire, what are you doing right now? You should have given it to your brother who was the heir. That is the best way in protecting the Empire."

His father's words made him want to laugh.
