316 Revenge Was But The Doing Of Evil

Her focus was on the expansion of Natan restaurant. On the other hand, Ashton received a call that needs his presence in Celestial country so he left a day after their return.

The big project in Achernar country was now starting and of course he needs to be there for the finalization.

"I'll follow in another week or so. Still need to make sure that this place is to be stabilized first," she said as she bid him goodbye.

Ashton placed his hand on top of her head, "Don't go and fall sick again."

"Look who's talking, don't go and get shot while training," she retorted, to which Ashton chuckled in return.

"Have she contacted you of what their next plan is?" she then asked.

"Not yet, must be because they are familiarizing themselves with the new cooperation with Cooper Empire," he replied.

"Must be, well, the others started moving as well. Infiltrating their malls slowly but surely. That's right I need Aldger to do me a favor," she then said after remembering something.

"What is it this time?"

"They have some business in Kuiper country, right?"

"They do and if I was not mistaken, he plans on going there next to look into their business, annual check he said."

"That's good then, there is someone over there I need him to ask for help. I could not return there yet but if he can collaborate with her, we would be able to get another helpful ally."

"What's her business?"

"Jewelry, it is still in a middle class level but I can tell her shop would surely bloom. Aldger's mother's side of business was in jewelry right?"

"If I'm not mistaken, their jewelry shops were also in middle class, they focused a lot on the office and school stuffs."

"That's what I want, if Aldger and that person were able to collaborate then both businesses would bloom. She has unique ideas while Aldger's family has the history. Incorporating those two might help both businesses."

"Even if you say that she has potential, it would still be up to their cooperation with one another whether it would really succeed," Ashton replied.

"I know, that's why I am asking it now. They can try but I won't push them, plus what I want from them was simple as well. I can be their investor and that was what I promised Arlene as well. I'll invest into her jewelry shop in return I will ask for a favor."

"And that is about the malls of Price Empire?" Ashton replied.

"Yes, Capa will start to hold events on Price Malls next year. With that their malls will start rising in popularity. Jake France will open his shops there as well,"

Ashton smiled, he understood very well what she had in mind.

"Very well, I'll go and ask Aldger and the others to do this as well. But when do you plan to pull away? For them to be prepared as well."

Ashton sighed, this one really does not love rest at all. Whether she was sitting drinking coffee or doing some paper works, her mind would be thinking too much about so many things.

He came close and placed a kiss on her forehead, "Go and hunt them down, a year from now or maybe sooner, I will make sure that you have the underworld as your backing."

"I can't wait to see that come," she replied with a happy smile on her face.

"Are you really leaving sister?" Jackson asked when Amber told them that it is time for her to go.

"Now, now, aren't you a mature young man. Why do you look like you are about to cry now?" Amber said teasingly.

"Goodbyes will always be sad ones, even if it is just short. No matter how mature you portray yourself to be, you will still feel sad when the time comes to say goodbye," Jackson answered instead.

"No wonder you were so down the past few days after Ashley left," Amber kept going with her teasing.

This time Jackson just glared at her and Amber laughed in return.

"I'm leaving everything around here to you. You already have the outline of the plan, right?" she then said, turning serious as she looked up at Simon Peterson.

Simon nodded in return, "You don't have to leave those people to me. Just when you get the chance, do get back at them for me."

"Of course, I plan to do just that. I will never let any of them off for every evil doing that they have done," she replied filled with resolve.

"Oh that's right, my sister seems to be taking up acting right now," Jackson remembered and informed Amber.

Amber was stunned for a bit before she smiled, "I see that she really has taken an additional path."

"You don't seem too shock about the information though. It feels that you're shock that she pushed through with it," Jackson then said noticing her reaction.

Amber didn't answer and just smiled at him. Though curious, Jackson decided not to ask anything. Amber had always been planning after all, maybe at some point she had contact with his sister and they have decided to do something again.

"When do you think would everything be over?" he couldn't help but ask.

Amber was so busy all these time that even with those precious to her, she barely had time to relax and enjoy herself.

Not just Jackson but all their friends are starting to really feel sad for her.

"Don't look at me like I am a pitiful one, I am enjoying this actually. Seeing things slowly bloom. But I will enjoy it more once everything truly started. Their looks when they started realizing that all their careers are falling down."

"Their looks when they started realizing that their company was losing its foothold. That even the hundreds of years of history was nothing to a budding conglomerate of businesses. If they have the history then we will fight them with variation."

History was what Amber was lacking, that is why she chose this path in infiltrating the Empire. With the talent she received from her father, a business man who could get whatever he wants. She will make sure that the Empire who hunted them down.

Would not just fall but instead would crash down and wouldn't be able to stand back up ever again.

"You really are scary after all," Jackson commented upon seeing her look, it was cold and all.

As if the sister he was with a while ago was a completely different person. And he couldn't help but to feel fear towards her.

"Are you scared of me then?" Amber asked.

Jackson pursed his lips, he was still a sixteen year old teenager after all. Faced with such a person, even the bullies of the past couldn't compare.

Amber smiled before messing his hair, "It is fine to be scared of me. But I could only promise that this scary side of this sister of yours will never be towards you unless you decided to betray me that is."

"As if I would ever do that," he replied slapping her hand away.

Amber laughed once again.

"But..."

Just then Jackson once again speak up.

"Once this is over, I wish that this side of yours would go into a slumber instead."

This stunned Amber.

"Well, if this keeps coming back then that only means that you have more enemies and that only means that you still didn't have the peace we wish you to have. So I wish it would be in a slumber after this."

Amber stared at him for a few seconds before looking at Simon who was silent all this time. His eyes was telling her that he too felt the same way as Jackson.

Amber could only smile in defeat, she had so many people around her, hoping for her peace. Seriously what have she done in her past life to deserve all these?

"I too wanted that. And I will make sure I will achieve that," was her answer.

'And I can feel that that time is no longer far, just a bit more. A bit more of perseverance and maybe, just maybe I and the others who was wronged by them. Would find the peace we seek.'

But Amber also knew, revenge was but the doing of evil. No matter how much they justify it, it was still the same as those people who harmed them and their family.

"Even if that means that I have to sell my soul to the devil."

Jackson and Simon understood why she had said this and they have no desire to say otherwise, for all of them who seek revenge will still do evil things.
