Chapter 842 Victoria Must Be Mad

Linda was startled by Victoria's sudden roar. She'd been fully focused on her phone call when a sharp voice came from behind her, frightening her.

"Hey, what are you doing? You scared me! How did you walk so silently? Are you a ghost?" Linda complained unhappily.

"Humph! If you didn't have a guilty conscience, why would you be afraid? Anyway, come with me to see my brother! It seems that you really don't value the happy life you have. How dare you have an affair?" Victoria reached out to pull Linda's hand, but Linda took a step back.

She squinted at Victoria and smiled sweetly.

"How dare you smile?"

Although Victoria's words sounded angry, she was actually feeling really happy on the inside. 'If Linda is really having an affair, my brother won't be able to stand it. Because his dignity is not allowed to be trampled upon. Doesn't that mean that I have a chance now?'

"Why can't I smile?" Linda looked confused.

"How can you be so shameless?" Victoria scolded.

"You're the one who eavesdropped on my phone call! Aren't you shameless?" Linda asked in reply.

Victoria was silent for a moment before she spoke. "What? No, no, no. I wasn't eavesdropping on your phone call. I was just... passing by and... Well, I was going to the bathroom."

Upon hearing this, Linda burst into laughter. As soon as she heard Victoria's words, she knew that she was lying.

"Oh, Lady Victoria. If my memory serves me right, this is the way to the kitchen. How would you have gone to the bathroom?"

Victoria realized that she'd made a stupid mistake, so she immediately turned the conversation back to Linda.

"Don't try to change the subject, Linda! Answer me! Who were you talking to just now?"

Linda was amused by Victoria's overbearing tone, so she decided to have a little fun with her. "You want to know who I was talking to? But...it's none of your business! How can you be so nosy?"

"Why can't I? Don't think I didn't hear what you said on that phone call. I'm sure you must have been talking to your lover! Otherwise, how could you say things like 'd

nding." Violet got up and handed James some clothes.

Meanwhile, Victoria went to knock on Charles's door.

She was so excited that she didn't think about what Charles would be doing right now.

At that moment, Charles was working on his laptop. Little Potato and Little Tomato were sleeping soundly in their own cots.

Charles was tapping on the keyboard as lightly as he could to avoid waking his children up.

But now, the sudden knock on the door awakened his children.

Charles frowned deeply. He knew that the person at the door definitely wasn't Linda. Linda had left the room to make a phone call just now but he had left the door unlocked, so she would have just opened the door and come in when she was done talking.

Little Tomato was already crying, so Charles shut the laptop and comforted his children.

After calming Little Tomato down, he went to open the door.

When he saw Victoria standing outside, he asked coldly, "What's wrong?"

Victoria tried to pull Charles's hand but he took a step back before she could touch him. She felt embarrassed with her hand hanging in the air.

"Charles, I'm sorry to tell you this but Linda is having an affair. She's a bad woman! I just heard her secretly talking to her lover!" Victoria said excitedly.

Charles was just confused by Victoria's words.

'What lover?'

He looked at Victoria like she was mad.
