Chapter 1430 Just An Act

"Well, if you're looking for the most popular barbecue restaurant in town, it might be the one in the West Street. Why don't we go check it out?" Paul asked with a light tone.

Linda nodded at him appreciatively.

Barbecue was a dish that Linda had missed eating. It could have been one of her favorite foods. Linda, however, had never seen that Charles had eaten such food before.

For Charles, barbecue was merely junk food.

Of course, how could the very Young Master of the Mu Clan eat something similar to trash? He would never desire barbecue in his life.

As soon as Charles felt a pair of eyes at him, he turned to his wife and asked, "Honey, is there something wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Hm? Oh, it's just bewildering how you, the Young Master of the Mu Clan, are going to eat barbecue," Linda said with a giggle.

Charles scoffed at his wife's apprehension.

"What? You think I can't have barbecue? Why can't I have barbecue?" Charles asked.

"Wow. Okay then. Since you're the Young Master of the Mu Clan, you can have anything you want. If the Young Master wants barbecue, then he'll have barbecue!" Linda exclaimed excitedly.

"Is everyone ready? We can go to that famous barbecue restaurant!"

Adrian said with a bright smile.

Linda sighed happily and lean

sonal secretary, as they say. She works for me. Have you ever seen an assistant eat with her superior?" Faye asked as she rolled her eyes in annoyance.

From Paul's vantage point in his seat, he shrunk at the sudden tension in the air. "Wow, Is Faye really so... shallow? Or is she just really ignorant?" he whispered to himself. Linda nodded her head towards Paul. "But Paul is Charles' assistant. We like having him around for dinner. Do you think of yourself so highly? Are you even a noble?

Why won't you like to have dinner with your subordinate?" Linda questioned with an accusing tone.

Faye winced at Linda's accusation and stepped back.

"Lady Linda. Do you not like me? Why are you so aggressive towards me? What have I ever done to offend you?" Faye asked.

But before Linda could even say anything back, Faye's eyes were already brimming with tears.
