Chapter 1448 The Trap

Inside the police station, a loud female voice could be heard.

"Sir, I really didn't steal anything!"

Faye was upset. What was wrong with Paul? She thought that it was not right for Paul to do this to her.

"Miss, why were you in that office at that time? Why did you go there?" the police officer asked.

"I have told you many times. I just went there to look for someone!" Faye replied tensely.

The more Faye thought about it, the angrier she became. Suddenly, she stood up and strode towards Paul. She grabbed his collar brusquely.

Pulling his collar, Faye stared directly into Paul. "Why are you doing this to me?" she demanded in a hoarse voice.

"I'm not doing anything out of ordinary. I'm just doing my job," Paul replied as calm as he could.

As he spoke, Faye's anger grew with each word he said. She let go of Paul's collar and proceeded to call Charles.

When Charles' phone rang, Linda caught a glance of the caller's name.

Charles was smirking as he handed the phone to Linda.

Linda took the call.

"Hello, Mr. Mu. Do you know what your assistant has done? I went to your office to find you, but he calle

e you,"

Paul replied convincingly. He and Linda were playing this show together.

Linda glanced sympathetically at Faye and asked Paul, "But there is no evidence. How could you accuse Miss Hong?"

"My Lady, I don't agree with you. After all, we only followed the protocol. How can I be sure that there is no evidence? We couldn't let this thing go just because of her status," Paul argued.

"Evidence? I didn't take anything! Come on! You can search my bag! Damn it!" Faye shouted.

She then continued, "We can't just let this go. If you don't find the ring with me, it means that I was falsely accused by this man. He was framing me. I'll ask the Mu's Group to fire him and demand him to apologize to me in person and compensate for my reputation!"
