Chapter 57 - 54

Since they were exploring the main part of the city where all of the richer citizens roam, Yu Yingyi had no idea where they were going since she's only been to the middle and lower part of the city.

"Everything here looks so expensive and luxurious," said Yu Yingyi with sparkles in her eyes.

As someone who loves architecture, she'd naturally want to discover new things, and that was exactly what she was doing as her eyes traced the designs on the building.

They were designed in a complex way that one would get confused if they tried to figure out the pattern, but it was different for Yu Yingyi. She could tell its pattern easily and how it was designed, just like that, another piece of knowledge was added into her brain.

"Even now I still don't know what's so interesting about this that has you so interested like this," said Song Feng Mian

"That's because you get to see this every day, you're already used to seeing this," said Song Liya.

"Hmm, I guess that's true, though most of the time I'm always in the room. But the window sure helps a lot," said Song Feng Mian.

"Ah, sorry, I didn't mean to say that..." Yu Yingyi muttered.

"It's fine, you weren't wrong anyway. I see this daily so I won't find anything interesting about the designs. How about you link arms with me to make my sister jealous while you tell me about the designs?" Song Feng Mian asked as she nodded towards a certain direction.

"Alright, let's do that then," said Yu Yingyi as she linked arms with Song Feng Mian.

*THUMP* *THUMP*

Song Feng Mian felt her heartbeat speeding up.

'Calm down, calm down.' she thought.

Yu Yingyi glanced over Song Feng Mian's shoulder and saw a certain figure with a cloak hiding behind a pillar. With just a single glance, Yu Yingyi could tell it was her because of the dark aura radiating behind her.

"She looks jealous or maybe even angry, all I can see is the dark aura radiating off of her, even the people are trying to avoid her," said Yu Yingyi.

"Ah, she definitely looks scary. Anyway, where shall we go? Is there anything you find interesting?" asked Song Feng Mian.

"Hmm, I don't know this area so you're going to have to guide me. Plus, you were the one who invited me out weren't you?" asked Yu Yingyi leaning into Song Feng Mian.

Song Feng Mian smiled, "Of course, then I know the perfect place to go, you're going to love it."

"If you say so."

Yu Yingyi could practically feel glares on her back as she started walking with Song Feng Mian with their arms linked, but that's what she deserved for trying to make her jealous.

'Hmph! Two can play that game.'

They were both in front of a store that had Yu Yingyi in awe, it was a store that was handled by a professional architect which meant this store was the real thing.

"This store, Antique Architecture, is famous for handling many designs for buildings. The owner of the store, Wang Shu, has traveled the world learning many different types of architecture to increase his knowledge. I've read stories on how many buildings were designed by him." said Yu Yingyi.

"Ah, so you've heard of this place already?" asked Song Feng Mian.

"How could I not? I'm a sucker for architecture. Although I've heard of this shop, I never got the chance to visit it due to how expensive everything in the main part of the city is." said Yu Yingyi.

"I see. Since I have quite a lot of money on me, do you want to get anything?" asked Song Feng Mian.

Yu Yingyi contemplated for a moment before answering. "No, but thank you. The designs of the place are probably designs I could quickly learn in less than a day."

"Then let's go in and see, even my family contacts this store for some designs," said Song Feng Mian.

"I hope I won't be disappointed, this store better have things that even I struggle to design."

When they entered the store, they were greeted by an ancient scent, Yu Yingyi immediately knew that this place was old. Looking around, there were tiles with complex designs on them, with a single glance, Yu Yingyi knew that it was the real deal.

After all, there isn't any other place that has designs like this other than this place.

"Did something catch your interest?' asked Song Feng Mian.

"Yep, though I'm just looking through everything to see if there's anything that I can't design. Though there hasn't been any of that yet, that doesn't mean the designs are bad, they're amazing," said Yu Yingyi.

Song Feng Mian wrapped her arms around Yu Yingyi's waist, Yu Yingyi thought it was to make Song Liya jealous so she shook it off and let me. Unknown to her, Song Feng Mian was savoring every moment of this.

"Yingyi, you should get one of these designs. I'll pay for it as a gift, buying one and studying one will let your mind explore new things and you'll gain more ideas," said Song Feng Mian.

"Even if you say that, the designs in this store are probably already drawn down on my notes," said Yu Yingyi.

"How about I buy you one as a gift?"

"If it's a gift then I have to accept since it'd be rude of me if I decline. How about you pick something for me since you don't know anything about architecture?"

"Eh? Why me? You should be the one picking what you want because I don't know anything about architecture."

"But that'd be pretty boring since I already know what I want, I want something different so that I can come up with different designs and not stay at the same idea."

"Fine then, though everything looks so complicated here, I don't even know what I'm looking at."

"Haha! That was me the first time I studied architecture, just pick what you find interesting and get it."

"Then I'll do what you just said, but there are so many designs to choose from, I don't know what to pick."

Yu Yingyi chuckled at the sight, Song Feng Mian looked like a kid who didn't know what toy to get.

As they were walking around, there was a ring in the air meaning someone was coming in.

Yu Yingyi glanced over to see who it was and she never thought she would see her again.

"It's been a while."
