*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*
Yu Yingiy and Song Liya waited outside the door of Song Feng Mian's room and knocked several times, but there was no answer coming from the other side.
"Did something happen to them? Perhaps did they go out?' asked Yu Yingyi.
"That's unlikely, the chances of my sister going out is very low unless a natural disaster strikes or she's in absolute danger. Other than that, she wouldn't leave, at least not until she's set free." Song Liya replied.
"Then, Jia Yu must've done something to Feng Mian. I knew it, Jia Yi stayed in Feng Mian's room to gain her trust and then did something to her when she least expected it. No wonder why Jia Yi read her autobiography." said Yu Yingyi.
"I think you're overthinking this, my sister isn't so weak that she'd let someone do something to her when she isn't paying attention. After all, she's gone through a tiny amount of training before," said Song Liya.
"And that tiny bit of training allowed Feng Mian to counter people sneaking up on her? I don't think it works like that." Yu Yingyi deadpanned.
"Whatever. You're overthinking this. Did you not try opening the door yet?" asked Song Liya.
"Of course not, that'd be rude to just go in without making our presence know." Yu Yingyi replied.
"Who cares?" Song Liya asked. "Just go in, nothing will go wrong."
Even if Song Liya said that, Yu Yingyi felt reluctant since it was basically an invasion of privacy.
"I'll do it since you won't," said Song Liya with a sigh at the end of her sentence. "Let's go in."
When Song Liya opened the door, both of them widened their eyes and their jaws dropped to the ground. Jia Yi was pinned under Song Feng Mian's grip on the bed, their clothes and hair were messy. Instantly, Song Liya and Yu Yingyi got the wrong idea.
"Ah, it seems we've interrupted something," said Yu Yingyi in utter disbelief as she turned to Song Liya. "I think we should head back, we'll come back another time."
"Yep, I should've listened to you and never came in without their permission," said Song Liya.
"Oi! What're you two talking about? You're getting the wrong ideas!" Song Feng Mian shouted.
"Then what kind of ideas are supposed to get when the position you're in is literally the position when someone is going to do it with someone else!" Yu Yingyi shot back.
"Tsk, whatever the both of you are thinking of, it's wrong," said Song Feng Mian.
"Then my dearest sister, would you mind getting out of the position you're in and quickly explain it to us?" asked Song Liya.
"Ah, right." Song Feng Mian muttered. "I should do that."'
Yu Yingyi and Song Liya took a seat as they watched the two get out of the position they were in.
"Now tell us, why were you pinning Jia Yi to the bed? That's all we need to know, everything else doesn't matter," said Yu Yingyi.
"Fine, I was trying to take back my autobiography from Jia Yi since I had more things to add but she kept complaining she wasn't done with it. Since she didn't want to get give it back, I decided to try to use force which led to what you saw." Song Feng Mian explained.
"And Jia Yi, you can confirm Feng Mian is telling the truth right?" asked Yu Yingyi.
Jia Yi nodded. "Yep, I wanted to finish it before I gave it to her since I was at the last few pages of the autobiography."
"Alright, it seems you were telling the truth. Though I wouldn't have minded if the two of you did it." Yu Yingyi muttered.
"What was that?"
"Nothing!"
"Alright, anyways, let's get to the point." Song Liya interrupted. "There's something we have to discuss with you both.
Song Feng Mian and Jia Yi's ears perked up, the tone of Song Liya's voice caught their attention.
"What is it?" asked Song Feng Mian.
Song Liya nodded in Yu Yingyi's direction. "Say it."
"Alright, I want to bring Jia Xin Yi to our side by speaking with her. And to get close to her, I'm going to need Jia Yi," said Yu Yingyi.
"Ha? Why me?" Jia Yi exclaimed.
"Because you're the only one who knows where your mother is, even though you're far apart from her, I'm sure you have an idea of where she is." Yu Yingyi replied.
Jia Yi was about to say something but closed her mouth. There was nothing she could say since she did have an idea of where her mother was.
"Since you're not saying anything, I'll take it that you know where she is," said Yu Yingyi.
"Wait, hold on. Is that the only reason you need her? I probably could find Jia Xin Yi quickly too." Song Liya stated.
"Of course that's not the only reason, there's also the fact that Jia Yi is Jia Xin Yi's daughter. If I brought her daughter along with me to convince her, it would be easier since a mother will always have a soft spot for their children...but some people are excluded," said Yu Yingyi.
The two sisters let out an awkward laugh as they looked in different directions, the rule "a mother will always have a soft spot for their children" didn't apply to them.
"What's wrong with them?" asked Jia Yi.
"Ah, don't worry about those two, they're both having a crisis at the moment. Anyway, Jia Yi, will you agree to help me?" asked Yu Yingyi.
"I don't really have much of a choice, do I? I did make a deal to help you whenever you need me so I think you already know my answer." Jia Yi replied.
Yu Yingyi smiled, glad that Jia Yi kept her word.
"Thank you for keeping your word." said Yu Yingyi as she leaned towards Jia Yi and whispered, "Maybe I'll help you and Feng Mian get closer cause I'm sure you enjoyed the position you were in before."
Immediately, there was a blush as red as a rose on Jia Yi's face. She turned in the other direction so the two sisters wouldn't be able to see her.
"Shut up! Me being together with Feng Mian is never going to happen, she's not even interested in romance," said Jia Yi.
"Maybe she's just saying that because she's not in love with anyone, you'll never know unless you give it a shot," said Yu Yingyi.
"That's easy for you to say when you the princess as your wife. Also, Prince Yingyi, who confessed first?" asked Jia Yi.
"It was the princess who confessed first, I wasn't brave enough to ask her to be with me," said Yu Yingyi with a small chuckle at the end.
"I don't think I'm brave enough to ask her out, there's also the chance of rejection too," said Jia Yi.
"There's that too. Alright, I think we're getting off-topic," said Yu Yingyi. "Stop grieving and join back in on the conversation. We're still not done."
"Fine." the two sisters said in sync.
Did what she say affect them that much?
