She had a good reason too but when she saw Ji Yao's slightly messed up hair, bruised neck and lip she completely forgot her reason to be there. Panicked she rushed over to Ji Yao attempting to check on his injuries.
She just couldn't understand these two. If Rui Fei was her rival why was it that he always fought with Ji Yao? Ji Yao spent half his time upset because of something Rui Fei did or said. A perfect example would be this situation right now.
Judging on both their appearances they had gotten into a serious fight and Ji Yao seemed to have gotten the worst of it. She glared angrily at Rui Fei who was grinning like a fool as she approached Ji Yao.
Seeing her come closer, Ji Yao quickly stopped her otherwise she might see something she shouldn't. "I am fine, you don't have to worry," he said in a tone that could almost be described as placating.
Seeing how gentle he was being towards her she said, "You two fought again, didn't you?"
"En." This nasally response didn't come from Ji Yao but Rui Fei with a sly smirk on his face. "We fought so much he almost killed me."
Ji Yao turned to glare at him as though issuing a warning but the immature brat high on endorphins didn't appreciate his kindness. He had kissed his first love outside of a dream and it felt so good that he couldn't help but share in his joy.
"He even scratched me too... do you want to see?" he continued pulling up his sleeve to show the finger marks from when Ji Yao grabbed his arm earlier.
Ji Yao quickly held his arm pushing it down under that table as he cleared his throat before asking, "Is, is there a problem?"
Rui Fei's smile grew wider as he reached to touch Ji Yao's hand that was touching his arm. Ji Yao tried to ignore it but Rui Fei knew exactly what he was doing. Touching one of Ji Yao's endegenous zones i.e. his inner wrist, Ji Yao could barely focus.
Xiaoyu noticed his subtle change in expression and couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?" taking another step closer.
"Its nothing..... I will throw him out later for what he did now... tell me what the problem is," replied Ji Yao throwing in a casual threat that had Rui Fei behaving. All that smugness was wiped away from his face as he stared at Ji Yao with an aggrieved expression but the pitiful act had lost its charm.
Xiaoyu almost smiled at his words but she controlled her expression as she said, "Its Huishe Yue and Qilin Kai..... a fight broke out and everyone is trying to calm Huishe Yue down but I don't how it started."
Okay, that was indeed a serious matter worth interrupting his love session. Ji Yao couldn't get up as of yet so he said to her, "Go on ahead and tell Old Du to sedate him if he keeps causing trouble." Xiaoyu was reluctant to leave but if she stayed Ji Yao might get upset with her too. She could only walk away purposefully leaving the door open.
Rui Fei, "..."
"She did it on purpose didn't she?" he said pointing at the open door, "Ouch, Yao-ge!"
As he whined like this he lay on Ji Yao's body like a wounded animal. With his hand on his waist that had been pinched he performed the perfect dying scene in a Hollywood blockbuster.
Ji Yao couldn't understand how on earth he fell in love with a drama king. It was a tiny pinch yet he was wailing like a woman in labour. "Get up," he said nudging Rui Fei's body with his shoulder.
Rui Fei didn't listen, in fact, he shifted around seeming comfortable with his head lying on Ji Yao's shoulder. "Your uncle is going to ruin my entire ship. Will you be able to compensate me?"
The pitiful act came to an abrupt end as he sprung up excitedly. He took Ji Yao's hand and placed it on his chest saying, "I don't have any money but I can repay you with my body in marriage."
"Oh god," said a defeated Ji Yao taking his hand back. He made a move as though getting up to leave but Rui Fei grasped his arm and said,
"You can't go out like this. Let me help you... I will take full responsibility."
Two minutes later....
Bam!
This was the sound of the door shutting with Rui Fei standing outside having been thrown out of the cabin. He saw that coming the moment he said it but he couldn't help it.
He was generous towards Ji Yao but apparently Ji Yao didnt want his generosity. So much of being a good guy. A chilly breeze swept by and the lustful aura around him vanished.
Thinking he needed to settle scores with his uncle for this he left for the brig. The tiny space was crowded with crew members blocking the path. But the moment they saw Rui Fei's no nonsense face they made way for their Madam who seemed to be in a very bad mood.
He found his uncle pinned to the ground as he fought to free himself and beat the shit out of Qilin Kai who just wouldn't keep is mouth shut. His siblings instead of helping the situation they were making things worse taunting Qilin Kai while Rui Li was placing bets on the side.
It seemed they were placing bets on how many teeth Qilin Kai lost after being struck by Huishe Yue. Rui Fei walked over to Rui Li and said, "Fifty says he lost all of them."
"Huh?" asked a perplexed Rui Li but soon she wore a startled expression. "Oh shit!" she yelled as a fist landed on Qilin Kai's face knocking him out. All that smirk from earlier gone.
That punch had everyone sucking in a cold breath of air with Rui Yewan asking, "Is he dead?" with his clenched hand covering his mouth.
"He will live," replied Rui Fei as he crouched down before Huishe Yue who was almost kissing the floor.
He then whispered, "You better have a really good reason to cause such a big fuss and disturbing my *bleep," with that last word said in a language only the two of them could understand.
Huishe Yue, "...."
'Ah..... shit,' he thought to himself as he lay back down. This time Rui Fei wasn't going to let it go. The kid held grudges just like his mother. He was going to pay the price during the endless 'training' sessions.. Talk about digging one's grave.
