Chapter 197 - The Cure To Loneliness

The echoes and sounds of a big argument from earlier on still lingered in Ji Yao's mind as he rubbed his throbbing temples. He was sitting on a cushion with his back straight as he stared blankly into space.

His eyes were lowered staring at the place on the map that could be described as a graveyard. As he sat there he was going through plenty of emotions. For the first time in his life, he had questioned his decision.

He had always been resolute before he does something and would never waiver in his decision but this keystone had him asking himself if this was worth it.

From underneath his table, he grabbed a wooden box decorated with flower patterns with a complicated gaze. With his pale fingers, he gently caressed the top of the box filled with tender affection.

This was the wooden box that held his mother's broken antler that he fished out at the bottom of the deep pool in the cave. He had not looked at it ever since only occasionally staring at the wooden box.

Slowly he opened the lid and there it was, the only thing that showed his mother's love for him. This was the only thing that gave him some sort of affirmation that she just didn't simply abandon him for others to raise.

The rough surface of the antler shimmered under the light exuding a splendid aura. It made one marvel in its aura despite being broken. In fact, the sharp edges of the antler made it even more dazzling like an old piece of art.

He knew he couldn't speak to her anymore but he couldn't help but whisper a few words coming from his heart. His entire body felt a wave of inexplicable calmness as he touched this antler. It was as reassuring as a mother's touch but it was only for a fleeting moment.

Once the feeling was gone all his worries and anxiety came flooding back in like a tidal wave. He felt a twinge of disappointment as he stared at that antler with his dark eyes.

Just at that moment, Rui Fei who had been missing in action suddenly pushed the door open holding a tray full of nicely cut fruit and neat chunks of dried meat. Looking at his beaming expression as he pushed open that door you wouldn't think it was the same person who refused to open the door nudging his uncle to do it.

Now it was as though the fear of getting scolded was gone. He was in an exceptionally great mood as he trotted over with the tray in his hands. He placed the tray on the table before sitting right next to Ji Yao ready to coax the heck out of him.

Ji Yao turned his head slightly glancing over in his direction before returning his gaze to the antler. A comforting warmth coming from Rui Fei's shoulders rubbing against him reminded him of something.

Every time he was in contact with Rui Fei he felt an indescribable sense of ease that stems from knowing that you aren't alone. He didn't necessarily need the rest of his family to feel like he wasn't alone. Rui Fei was more than enough to feel that void.

Qilin Kai's words suddenly replayed in his mind. He had told him that Rui Fei was more important to him than he was important to Rui Fei. That was a fact and he had just realised it now.

With a self-mocking smile on his face, he closed the wooden box and turned around to put it underneath the table. But just as he turned his face around his lips suddenly pressed against Rui Fei's.

His partially open mouth was further parted when a tongue carrying some sweetness from a peach fruit slipped into his mouth. It seemed in trying to coax Ji Yao he forgot his body's aversion to sweet things. Surprisingly, he had no immediate reaction to the sweetness as he continued to tease Ji Yao. What he didn't realise was that its effects were just delayed and he would have to pay the price later.

With its intrusion, the warm tongue carried along a slice of juicy peach. Ji Yao swallowed the small peach slice without thinking twice. The sweetness from peach lingered on Ji Yao's tongue enticing this hungry cub.

As though disgruntled that the peach slice disappeared too quickly he gently swept his tongue against Ji Yao's as though meaning to rob all that lingered sweetness from him. Ji Yao shuddered from this unexpected provocation. He knew this was his limit for the day but he still craved for more. It felt so good that his resistance withered.

Rui Fei seemed to sense a slight drawback from Ji Yao so he gently placed his hand at the nape of Ji Yao's neck and deepened the kiss. The heated passion between the two of them was so blush-inducing that you would think they would tear each other's clothes off right then and there.

After teasing him for a while Rui Fei retracted his tongue to catch a breath and as he did this he gently bit Ji Yao's lower lip with their foreheads pressed together. Ji Yao who had suddenly been deprived of this pleasure was left begging for more as he leaned forward to take what he wants.

Intoxicated by this lecherous kiss, Ji Yao kept leaning forward till Rui Fei lay on the floor with Ji Yao straddling him. Ji Yao had somewhat lost his self-control caressing Rui Fei's chest on top of his clothes as he deepened the kiss.

He yearned more for that feeling that made him forget everything. The feeling that washed away all the loneliness he had been feeling for a very long time. He desperately wanted to consume this person and become one with him.

Unknowingly he was speedily losing himself to the wonderful feeling. The self-control he took so much pride in began to crumble. His hands that had kept to the sides of Rui Fei's chest suddenly travelled downwards unfastening the belt of Rui Fei's robe.

Rui Fei, "!!!"

Before he knew it Ji Yao's hand had slipped into his clothes with the coolness of his fingers caressing his skin. Alarm bells were set off in his mind and he reached out to grab Ji Yao's wrist.

Ji Yao who had suddenly been denied access parted his lips from Rui Fei's and sat up straight staring at him with a dazed expression.. A faint pink colour spread from his cheeks as he stared at Rui Fei with his watery eyes.
