Chapter 261 - A Failed Attempt At Seduction

"Okay, I can do that for you but," replied Ji Yao while leaning forward with a straight face like a superior coercing his subordinate, "what do I get in return?" If this was the modern era it might have been considered sexual harassment.

Rui Fei, '...'

'Weren't you doing this for free not so long ago?' thought Rui Fei having not caught up with Ji Yao's act yet.

The man had been handing out free copies of his slanderous work that portrayed him as a terrifying existence with frivolous behaviours. That alone should be payment enough or he can call it compensation.

"Yao-ge, you already made me seem like a sinister character who has multiple partners and can't keep his thing in his pants. That is slander and I want compensation," he replied folding his arms.

At this moment Ji Yao didn't know whether to laugh or cry. The one time he tried to tease this cub Rui Fei couldn't even catch up with his meaning. Maybe it was because he was terrible at flirting. "Mm," he replied with a flash of disappointment in his eyes, "but I need inspiration material first."

Rui Fei had no idea what sort of inspirational material Ji Yao was talking about. He just stared at him puzzledly before asking, "What sort of inspirational material do you want?"

Ji Yao's brows arched up in surprise. It seemed Rui Fei might have burnt a hole in his brain when he was ill last night. How can someone as black-bellied as him be unable to read his meaning?

'*Sigh, better luck next time,' thought Ji Yao as he took out some paper. "I will do it but go eat first," he said to Rui Fei as he took out the rest of the things needed.

An exhilarated Rui Fei who was about to get a manhua featuring him and Ji Yao as the protagonist smiled happily kissing Ji Yao on the cheek before rushing outside. While scavenging whatever he could find in the kitchen he was so distracted that he didn't realise someone was in the room with him.

Like an eerie ghost in the night, Huishe Yue stepped out of the shadows and whispered, "What are you doing?" startling this poor baby so much that he almost jumped out of his boots.

"AH!" he screamed while holding a pair of chopsticks like he was ready to attack the intruder.

Huishe Yue found this hilarious as he took a step to stand beside him. With a mocking smile, he asked, "What were you going to do with those? Stab me with them?"

"Don't you know that if you treasure your life you shouldn't sneak up on me," said Rui Fei as he put down the pair of chopsticks? His tone of voice showed his annoyance but his expression remained as relaxed as before.

Huishe Yue leisurely leaned against the wall beside him and said, "Normally I wouldn't be able to sneak up on you and it's either two things happened. One, you are dead or two, you are drunk with love. The second one is the norm for our clan so..... did you two....."

"No," hastily replied Rui Fei. He was thick-skinned but he didn't want to discuss such things with his uncle. "He is creating a storyline of our romance in the form of drawings. I can't wait to see it..... can you believe he had been drawing a horrible character based on me. He portrayed me like a promiscuous person."

"Yep, I have seen those. In his defence they are quite entertaining," replied Huishe Yue before reaching out to take a piece of shredded pork from the bowl.

Rui Fei just glared at him but he didn't say anything about it. "He even asked me what will he get in return, can you believe it? All those slanderous volumes and yet he is the one asking for compensation. I am the one who should get compensated."

Huishe Yue had been quietly listening on the side as he chewed slowly while digesting his words. Something about this conversation was oozing with subtle yet intense romance.

"How did he say it?" curiously asked Huishe Yue.

Rui Fei stopped what he was doing and looked at him asking, "What do you mean how did he say it?"

"Like how he said it? Voice, posture, everything. How did he say it?"

Rui Fei thought seriously for a moment before saying, "He leaned forward and with a stern expression he said what do I get in return. Why?"

Huishe Yue had the urge to knock out his nephew for being stupid. He would apologize to his sister later but only after beating the living hell out of him. "Can you copy his exact tone and movements? Then tell me what you see," he said. If Rui Fei couldn't understand after this then it would be safe to label him as a hopeless case.

Rui Fei did repeat Ji Yao's words exactly as before and no more than two seconds later it hit him. "Fuck.....," he swore before dashing out of the kitchen leaving his food behind.

Huishe Yue chuckled as he watched that figure disappear through the door. He sincerely hoped Ji Yao's offer still stood because his nephew would be in a great mood making it easier for this uncle.

While Huishe Yue was enjoying the spoils of war, Lan Wu walked in with an ugly expression. He had been going around in circles looking for Huishe Yue to take him back to his ship. Don't ask why he was so adamant to take Huishe Yue with him. He just couldn't leave Red Bane without him.

"Were you hiding from me?" asked Lan Wu seeming pretty upset.

Huishe Yue didn't seem affected by his terrible mood as he smilingly said, "Yeah, I was trying to spice things up between us a little," translation provoke Lan Wu to see if he would get mad.

Whenever he heard Lan Wu's voice he would run away and each time Lan Wu asked the crew members if they had seen Huishe Yue they would say he was just here. How can Lan Wu coincidentally just miss him five times? By the third time around he knew this was a set-up.

Huishe Yue was playing some type of sick game with him. Logically he should have just left him behind but this facecon couldn't do without seeing his face for a long time.

"Let's go," said Lan Wu before turning to leave but when was it ever easy dealing with Huishe Yue.

"Why should I go with you? I can stay comfortably on Red Bane and you can go back to your ship... Captain Wu." He deliberately drew out the words Captain Wu in a whisper as he stood right behind him.

Lan Wu looked stern on the outside but on the inside, it was panic mode with the level of alarm as high as when a nuclear power plant is on the verge of explosion. Why did this annoying person have so much of an effect on him? Now all he could think about were Rui Li's words that he dreamt of her saying.

Rui Li in his dream, "You are bent already Captain Wu.. Just admit it? I promise it will be a whole lot easier," in a drawled voice.
