Chapter 292 - Hurricane Yao Continues

Flustered he smacked the water surface but seeing how happy Lan Wu was despite his tricks of slipping into his dreams, Huishe Yue smiled. He felt a warm feeling spread from his chest, the kind of warmth he last felt whenever he spent time with his sister.

It was pure absolute happiness, a precious gem difficult to find for most. If he could find that happiness in Lan Wu then why would he do anything to jeopardize it?

Lan Wu's laughter died down when the cabin door was pushed open and Zhang Li scurried out in fear for his life. Just then another intense flash cracked in the sky before an explosive clap of thunder rattled the waters as though a storm was coming. An inexplicable bout of fear overwhelmed everyone in and around Red Bane with the timid ones cowering in dismay including Zhang Li who crouched down with his head covered. It was like witnessing Ji Wen throwing a tantrum tenfold.

To get out of there Zhang Li had used an uninspired idiotic excuse which possibly angered Ji Yao even more. If it weren't for Lady Ching Sei his rear posterior would have been roasted till well done like a well-cooked piece of steak. She tried to calm Ji Yao down buying Zhang Li some time to escape.

Unfortunately, she couldn't do anything for Rui Fei. That ship had sunk at the bottom of the ocean which she much preferred as she still hadn't given Rui Fei a complete stamp of approval.

As for the Rui siblings they had abandoned ship a long time ago. They knew better than anyone else not to involve themselves in this quarrel. They honestly thought Rui Fei had already mentioned this special gift of his to their saozi but apparently not. They even politely closed the door for them before seeking out uncle Yue to take them with him.

"I am not even your uncle," said Huishe Yue who had somehow gained an additional nephew and a niece out of the blue.

Rui Li jumped into the water and swam over to Huishe Yue before hugging his arm acting cute. She wished she could hug his thigh but they were in the water so she couldn't.

Rui Yewan didn't join his sister in coaxing Huishe Yue because he was still terrified of him after what happened when he injected his seraphic energy inside the keystone. He would rather speak to captain Lan than Huishe Yue. Lan Wu didn't mind bringing them along. The Blue Urchin had an open door policy.

While everyone scattered like flies in preparation for hurricane Yao, Rui Fei was sitting there with a helpless look on his face. He didn't know what Ji Yao's reaction to this news would be but as long as it's not the words 'break up' or 'get off my ship' he would be able to handle it.

He wanted to say something but his wife was so pissed off he was even afraid to breathe loudly lest it set Ji Yao off. Like a wise man, he chose silence with a pitiful expression on his face. Ji Yao felt the raging storm brewing within him simmer down at this pitiable appearance but his expression remained as dark as the bottom of a charcoal pot.

"When did you plan on telling me?" he asked in a dead voice showing no emotion or feeling which Rui Fei feared the most. If Ji Yao becomes indifferent to him like before then there would be no hope left for him and without hope then they would have only one choice.

Tie Ji Yao up and keep him to himself that no one else would covet what belongs to him. A misty dark cloud spread in his aether as this dark and sinister thought took shape in his mind.

Fearing Ji Yao would notice something off about him he quickly tucked away those vile thoughts and shut his bloodshot eyes drawing in Ji Yao's scent. The abnormal desire to imprison and possess Ji Yao vanished as he opened his eyes to face the music.

It was a good thing Ji Yao had such a powerful effect on him otherwise he might have had an outburst ages ago. What he didn't realise was that Ji Yao had noticed his odd behaviour already.

He didn't understand everything about different clans whether it be Huishe or Qilin. Heck, he hadn't even figured out his father's clan yet but he understood one thing. He and Rui Fei needed each other so he can get angry all he wants but he couldn't let Rui Fei out of that door.

"I..... I didn't know how to say it. I tried to keep my distance from but when you..... kissed me I didn't want to tell you anymore," replied Rui Fei and the result of that was another bolt of lightning striking the surface of the sea that Red Bane felt the force of the disturbed waters.

Ji Yao scoffed internally at the idea that this cub meant to keep this secret from him for the rest of their lives. At least he appreciated his honesty.

"So you wanted me to continue taking advantage of you in my dreams feeling guilty about it when I wake up because I can't control myself?"

"Each night I dreamt myself doing things to you I thought it was a dream with no consequences yet you were actually an active participant," said Ji Yao pouring out his heart and the more he spoke the angrier he got. Clenching his fists tightly till his knuckles turned white he said,

"Were you ever considerate of my feelings at all, huh? Did you for once think about what it would do to me when I found out. I almost.....," he said before falling silent again. He had his reasons for not giving himself completely to Rui Fei and one of them being age. He didn't want Rui Fei to regret it because once they pass that threshold there was no way in hell he was letting him walk out of that door.

He was familiar with the pain because he felt it from his mother which made him empathise. He didn't want to be separated from Rui Fei because it was like a part of his flesh being torn away from him. If he felt like that now how about if they do the coupling ceremony?

The pain his mother felt was so excruciating that until now he wonders why she didn't kidnap his father sooner or commit the worst crime of all which is 'if I can't have you then no one else can.' If he empathised with her then why try and rescue his father?

It's because deep down he wants a complete family. He wants them both on this ship and going home with him so in a way, he was giving his mother an ultimatum. Whether she would follow them or not was up to her.

Secondly, what would happen if the portal between earth and Niuq opens up once more and the Huishe take Rui Fei away? What would happen to the both of them was nothing short of tragic.
