Chapter 424 - Don't Qilin Hate Huishe

There is nothing more fascinating to watch than a jealous lover in the middle of a crowd. Maybe it's the way they intently stare at their lover like there is no one else around them or possibly the way they glare at someone getting too cosy with their sweetheart that makes such a scene fascinating to watch.

Despite all of this the most satisfying ending is when they do silly things or touch their lover just to get their attention. This kind of show was witnessed by the entire crew on Red Valkyrie and for a moment it was very interesting to watch.

That is until Rui Fei picked up their captain, carried him away like a sack of potatoes and smacked his ass in front of them. This kind of scene was the type people get either killed for in order to eliminate witnesses or cut their tongues so they don't mention things they shouldn't.

This was their future Pirate king and from the direction Ji Wen was blowing the wind it seemed he planned on retiring and leaving Ji Yao in charge permanently. Let's put it in a sense everyone can relate to.

Imagine your future president, man or woman, being carried over their shoulder by their lover and getting their ass slapped in front of you. It's either their offer you a million dollars or they silence you depending on what country you are from.

Putting it like this it is easy for one to imagine why the atmosphere on Red Valkyrie was tense. They scattered like flies after that door closed. Fearing they might hear something they shouldn't and get their ears cut off later they wisely chose to disperse.

The only ones at ease were Big Hei, Xunshi Zhe and Rui Yewan. To them, this was the norm. They had even witnessed the couple kiss and Ji Yao was also the instigator. Immune to such a generous dose of dog food they ignored it and chose to play a dice game to pass the time.

Rui Li on the other hand was so red-faced with her head tilted backwards and a cloth on her nose. It was a shame to say that she actually got a nose bleed when the scene wasn't even that explicit. Maybe it was because she hadn't had this much fluff in a very long time that her blood just gushed straight to her face and it was game over for this cute fujoshi.

Shuijing who was shaking her wrist from having almost broken Zhang Ci's jaw suddenly paused when she saw Rui Li with her head tilted backwards. She wanted to approach her but before she took a step forward she accidentally met Rui Yewan's deep gaze.

He didn't have to say anything because the meaning was obvious. It seemed even being friends with Rui Li was near to impossible with that jaguar watching her from afar.

Rui Yewan watched Shuijing walk away but before he could retract his gaze a familiar figure appeared in front of him. Xiao Yùnqì placed his hand on Rui Yewan's shoulder before sitting next to him. "What are you guys playing? Can I play too," he said with Tong Tong standing behind him.

"No.... we are playing dice," said Rui Yewan his gaze shifting to the bowl being shaken by Big Hei. In his mind this game of gambling wasn't suitable for children thus he rejected him immediately.

"Uh uh uh... as long as the kid has money he can play. Kid, do you have money?" interjected Xunshi Zhe not timid about robbing money from children.

Xiao Yùnqì took out a pouch and as he placed it on the small table it clanked indicating the weight of its contents. "Good, good.... how about you kid? Are you going to play?" He asked Tong Tong who was staring at the door of the captain's cabin in silence.

His mind hadn't been right ever since he saw the person who looked incredibly similar to his grandfather. He was happy that he had found someone from his clan and wanted to urgently speak to him.

But he also knew this wasn't the right time so he could only calm himself down and approach him another time when the captain wasn't around. Though the captain's lover was part Huishe he still felt a little wary of exposing his identity as of yet. So he could only look for the perfect opportunity to speak to him in private.

"Tong Tong..... hey," said Xunshi Zhe gently knocking the table to bring him back to earth. It was Xiao Yùnqì's gentle nudge that brought him back to himself. "What? Do you want to join them? Heh, if so then I will prepare your grave in advance," teased Xunshi Zhe when he realised that the kid's gaze remained fixed on that door.

"Huh! No no no no, you misunderstand," he said waving his hands in refusal, "I wouldn't dare." His face at this point was drained of all colour with his lips quivering.

Big Hei pulled his hand urging him to sit down and said, "Don't mind him. He is just messing with you," before letting go.

Tong Tong nervously bit his inner cheek while clutching his knees. The game had already begun but he wasn't paying attention. Instead, he was trying to come up with the right words to ask the question that had been bothering him ever since Rui Fei and Ji Yao got onboard.

Because these people were technically strangers he wasn't as confident as he was in front of Lan Wu. But it seemed his curiosity was so extreme that he ended up blurting out his question. "I thought Qilin and Huishe hate each other?" he said as he raised his head to look at Big Hei but it was Xunshi Zhe who responded saying,

"Who gives a shit about that here? The fuck.... damnit, Yewan you must be cheating."

"Heh...not cheating, I am just that good Old man," replied Rui Yewan feeling rather smug.

Xunshi Zhe's eyes widened as he pointed his shaky finger at Rui Yewan. "You....!! If you weren't related to Rui Fei I would have long knocked some sense into you," he said on the verge of flipping the table.

"But you are old though," replied Rui Li who was still pinching her nose.

"Very very old...," replied Big Hei before his arm was elbowed.

Tong Tong who had just been enlightened still wanted to ask more but seeing them cheerfully chatting away he didn't know how to interject. Normally he would have retreated into his turtle shell and not speak but because he really wanted to know he couldn't help it.

"How could that be? I heard Captain Ji's mother hates Huishe," he said in a low voice but Big Hei heard it.
