Chapter 395 - The Divine Dragon's Test Part-2

Name:War Online Author:Snowstar
"Welcome, Lucius Mole Draconus." As soon as Wil and Lucius entered the portal, they were teleported to plain grassland surrounded by mountains.

In the meantime, Wil received a notification stating that he stepped inside the Abode of Velkazar, which is like a hidden realm.

Since Wil was familiar with things like dungeons, illusionary realms, and pocket worlds, he was calm. On the other hand, Lucius seemed to be nervous as he finally made it to this sacred place where every citizen wished to visit.

In front of them, there was a translucent dragon, bowing to them. This time, even Wil was able to see it, although the messenger took no notice of him. Its focus was only on the heir.

After Lucius returned the greetings, the messenger continued, "Before you meet Master, you have to participate in a trial to see whether you are worthy enough to meet him."

Glancing at Wil for a second, its eyes turned back towards Lucius added, "only you, alone."

"Alone?" Both of their facial expressions darkened as neither of them knows of it beforehand.

Lucius looked at the dragon nervously as he knew that he was only level-100 and definitely wasn't strong enough to pass the trial.

As if his thoughts were being read, the translucent dragon then explained to him, "this trial doesn't need strength. According to my master, whether they are level-500 or whether they are level-1, everyone is worthy to meet her if they are free of guilt.

However, now the situation is quite special, only a candidate to the Dragon Throne needs to enter this trial alone and pass. If he/she passes, then, everyone who serves him/her will be given a pass. If not, the heir and his faction will be out of the race. They will have to return.

And coming to the trial, my Master has set 48 hours of time limit to meet her. 13 hours have already been passed. So, you have 35 hours.

There are only three ways to get out of the illusionary realm you will be sent to. One is to get free of all guilt, two is to give up, and three is when the time is up."

After giving him the info, the messenger transformed itself into a portal.

Lucius let out a sigh of relief as he heard those words. At the very least, he thinks that he doesn't have any guilt.

"Good luck, Lucius. Prove that I'm right about you." Wil spoke seriously, crossing his arms to the chest.

The 15-year-old teenager nodded and walked into the portal confidently. The portal suddenly turned red.

After Lucius left, Wil stepped forward and touched it curiously.

*Ding! You are restricted to enter.

"Well, I guess I have to wait here until he returns." At this moment, Wil wasn't the least bit nervous because he had plan-B.

If Lucius fails to ascend to the throne through legitimate means, Wil decided to occupy the Imperial city by using force and make the kid the puppet king. With the addition of the Tiamat and gold dragon bloodline in his arsenal, Wil was never more confident.

The only variable that can obstruct his plan is this Divine Dragon, which Wil has no information about.

Even if that happens, there's no loss for Wil. He can just go back, get stronger, return, and have his revenge.

Wil sat on the ground and spent his time browsing the forums. "Okay, let's see what's happening in my kingdom."

"Oh, there have been a lot of attacks lately. Inter-fighting is prohibited until the rest phase. So, either they are outsiders or, they are insiders just attacking the military. Did I perhaps leave any prince/princess alive? I should confirm whether there are any attacks on my guild members. Let's also inquire about the management of the kingdom in my absence."

While Wil was busy conversing with Aster, Lucius, on the other hand, was going through a trial.

He was standing before his mother, who was accusing him. "Never once you attempted of saving me when I was abducted. You are really an ungrateful bas***d…"

"No, mother. It's false. I never gave up…" As Lucius was trying to explain her circumstances, his mother roared at him as she lunged at him and gave a slap to his cheek. "Shut up… Do you know what I have gone through during the time I was abducted? Do you know how slaves are being treated? Those soldiers harass us every day and when we failed to finish the target, we will be beaten mercilessly as punishment, and sometimes, we won't even get dinner…"

"Mother…" Lucius' eyes were almost filled with tears as the illusion overpowered him. He kneeled on the ground.

Suddenly, a kitchen knife appeared in his mother's hand as she kicked his stomach, "If only I had stayed in Imperial city. I would have lived my life in peace. And now, when you know the truth, you left your mother and father who raised you and left for the riches.

Why should I have to risk my life and career to save your life? And what do I get in return? Perhaps, if you had died while trying to save me, I would have been prouder that my son is not a coward…"

"Die…" She thrust the knife towards Lucius' chest. Lucius, who was silent until now, suddenly raised his hand.

As the knife pierces his hand, Lucius raised his head and looked into his mother's eyes that were full of hate. "Sorry, mother. It's my fault that I'm not strong enough, not brave enough."

Then, a look of determination appeared on his face. "And this is why I'm taking the chance. I have no desire for riches. What my mother and others are facing, no one in the kingdom will face it.

If I become the king, I will abolish the slavery system itself. To fulfill my goal, if I will have to follow a stranger, I will do it. If I have to leave my parents and my sibling, then, I will do it… I won't feel any remorse in my actions, mother."

All of a sudden, his mother in front of him disappeared. Just before he lost his consciousness, he heard a high pitch voice, probably belongs to a lady. "You have good soul, child, although the one you fated with is… sigh…"

After a while, Lucius opened his eyes and found himself lying on the grassland. There was Wil who crouched beside him while staring at him. Apart from him, there were the familiar 3ft translucent white dragon.

"That illusion… It is too powerful. I never even realized it." It was only after leaving the trial, Lucius realized what happened. "So, the trial was fighting with oneself, huh…"

"You did it, Lucius." Wil smiled as he helped him up. He was satisfied that Lucius only took 15 minutes to clear the trial.

"Congratulations, Lucius Draconus. You and your faction members are now allowed to meet my master. Just so you know there are still 35 hours till the deadline. You can bring all of your faction members with you and enter together."

Lucius turned his head to look at Wil, to which, the latter simply nodded and said, "Let's go."

With confirmation from Lucius, the white dragon disappeared along with the change of scenery around them.

It was the same grassland. However, there weren't any mountains around it. There was just sky and clouds, making one assume that it is perhaps a floating island.

But, Wil was careless about the habitat, and his concentration was completely grabbed by the humongous dragon sleeping gracefully in the middle of the island. Despite its size, it was beautiful to look at. For a second, even Wil went into a daze.

Its giant feathers were shining with every color of the rainbow. Its scales are pentagonal and shaped like a teardrop with two long sides and two shorter ones, and a very short fifth side attached to the skin. Its eyes were also beautiful with the round pupils constantly changing their colors every second.

Around the dragon, there was a group of twelve standing around in silence. All of them glanced at the newcomers.

"This guy… Isn't he the same royal guest from the Eucliffe clan? The savior of Father? And the one that defeated Sister Kyla?" It turned out to be Frost Draconus with four level-400 generals and eight Royal Knights. "I didn't expect to meet this guy once again. Moreover, supporting some kid…"

Of course, he personally saw how Wil pushed away Kyla and others without even touching them. But, since there wasn't any damage caused to them, Frost doesn't know the extent of Wil's strength. At the same time, he can't underestimate him either.

"But, why he's alone? Is he too confident or just an idiot?"
