Chapter 27:Enhancing the Bow

Name:War Online Author:Snowstar
After taking all the loot dropped from the monster, Williard turned around and said, "Remia, you can leave to the East Ocean City. Take rest until I call you again, later."

"Yes, Lord TimeTraveler." She bowed slightly and then started running towards the city without asking any questions.

After she was gone from his sight, Williard just sat there and started contemplating his next course of action.

"Hmm, the maximum level is achieved. If I remember correctly, they will open the 100-200 zone only after there are fifty level-100 players. It will take some time. I hope it will be finished before the first update.

Once the time here adjusted to the real-time setting, it'll become harder to level up as there would be only 15 hours of sunlight. Hmm, getting a night vision skill would be useful if I want to level up in the night in the future but I don't have any information on how to acquire. Last time, I just bought it through the auction. Damn...

Anyway, let's think about those things later and think about what should I do now.

For the information about those materials, I might need the Mayor's help but I can't go into the city right now and expose my level, yet.

Nor can I let Remia help out others as it will easily expose the method of leveling. Although most of them might not afford to hire a guard, it won't be the same for those top players and my plan of controlling the guilds will go to waste. Sigh... if only NPC can enter the dungeons...

Wait a second. How the f*** did I forget about the Mask... Ugh... What's it called again? Yes, Mask of Tranquility. If I remember correctly, it can be acquired by..."

While Williard is thinking of the mask, he suddenly got a voice message from Aster.

"Congratulations on becoming the number one player. Young master is really a genius to reach level-100 in so much of a short time."

Williard scoffed, "that's because you haven't seen Remia's in action. A 2-star Guardian is entirely different compared to 1-star. And what number one. It's not like I reached on my own."

But still, he replied with a simple message instead of a voice message, "thanks. So, what about the situation in the city?"

Aster replied, "everything's going well. Once we will recruit Flame-Emperor and Snow Dew, we can proceed with our next step. I heard that the young master did a dungeon with them. If you reveal your level, we might be able to recruit those father and daughter pair."

Listening to it, Williard thought for a while before sending the message,

"No, they were different. You cannot convince the Flame Emperor that easily. But, it's fine. They don't seem to be players with ambition. They won't pose any threat, yet.

Aster, you need to do something for me. In the city, somewhere around, there will be a smithy. Reach at least 80 favorability. When you reach it, ask him about whether he had the Mask of Tranquility. He will give you an absurd price but don't pay for it and say you don't have such amount. Ask him earnestly again and inform him you can do anything for him. That will make him give you a quest. Accept it and give me co-ordinates of a lonely spot in the wild. I'll fly over there."

...

Reverie Kingdom;

CrimsonSun(Bran), a level-86 Blademaster was fighting against a Heroic level-85 wild boss, all alone for several hours. As the boss died, it dropped a bunch of several items.

picking up a shining long-katana with a huge smile on his face, CrimsonSun mumbled, "yes, an epic grade sword. After I enhance it, my attack will increase tremendously. Hmm, what is this..."

Bran saw an ancient-looking parchment that was dropped on the ground, in the midst of all the equipment. As he picked it up and inspected it curiously, he got a notification followed by a Quest on the holographic screen before him.

*You received the Scroll of Eden*

*Quest: Eden, one of the ten demi-gods of the world is waiting for her successor for a thousand years. Go to her tomb that is located in the cave of Eden and receive the inheritance quest to try your luck*

"Inheritance Quest?" Bran was taken aback in surprise, "a hidden class? I wonder which one will it be. But, what should I do? If I change my class, my level will be dropped to 1 and all the skills I acquired and developed painstakingly will disappear. And what about this epic grade sword?

But that's a demi-god's inheritance. When I complete it, I'll receive strong equipment. Who knows, it might even be a legendary one. I can just sell the sword to Sierra or I can just put it in an auction when it opens. Should I risk it? What should I do?"

...

After landing in a safe spot, Williard took out blue stones with a swirl pattern on them.

As he placed the epic grade level-100 bow on the ground, he first took two stones and place it on the bow.

Suddenly, he got confirmation.

*Would you like to use two augment stones to enhance Cereberus' Bow to +1?*

Williard pressed Yes.

The stones immediately disappeared into the bow and he received a notification.

*Cerberus' Bow has been successfully enhanced to +1*

Before enhancing further, Williard inspected the Bow.

Cerberus' Bow (+1)

Level: 100

Grade: Epic

Class: Archer

Attack: 6289-6362 (+631)

Critical rate: 48.4% (+4.8%)

"I have around 193 augment stones more. Let's continue with enhancing and see how much can I enhance it."

Then, he proceeds with enhancing the Bow further.

After consuming 4 stones, he got a notification.

*Cerberus' Bow has been successfully enhanced to +2*

+3 required 6...

+4 required 8...

*Cerberus' Bow has been successfully enhanced to +4*

Just like any other equipment, the bow's attack stat was enhanced by 10% per each level.

"Ok, now, this is an important one. The success rate is now 75% and required stones are 12. Once, it is successful, the attack will increase by 20% more and the overall critical rate will reach around 70% I guess?"

As the augment stones that he put on the bow to enhance it to +5, disappeared, Williard received a notification.

*Enhancement failed*

"F*** how unlucky. Never mind. I still have 163 stones."
