After the first wave is eliminated, all of them waited for a while but as Wil realized there was no second wave is coming, he spoke, "Let's go."
Since he is the leader of the party and this quest, the NPCs obeyed him and proceeded to walk further while maintaining vigilance.
The underground place is pretty much simple like a normal dungeon with a straight path that leads to different chambers. Strangely, the fire torches that are sticking to the wall are still working.
With no problem with vision, they walked straight following the path until they discovered a chamber on the left.
From the outside, Wil saw there are a few skeletons on the ground with old clothes here and there. The only strange thing was a carving on the wall that looks like some kind of head of a beast.
Looking at it, Flame Emperor commented, "Indeed, it looks a living place."
"Let's go inside. See if we can find anything." Wil spoke as he moved forward.
As soon as he stepped inside the chamber, suddenly, all the skeletons on the ground have a red glow in their eyes and they stood up and ran towards him.
Before Wil about to take action, Remia leaped from his behind towards them and slashed a skeleton with the sword but neither Wil nor the other two players didn't see any damage on its head.
Meanwhile, the skeleton which was attacked turned its head towards Remia and pounced on her but she blocked its movements with the shield while no damage appeared on her head too as another skeleton attacked her from the side and tried to strangle her neck.
As Wil was taken aback in a surprise because of the sudden developments of the skeletons completely ignoring him and focusing on Remia, Flame Emperor suddenly dragged him out and shouted, "Remia, abandon them and come outside."
But, before she was able to do that, the remaining suddenly jumped on her, and just a second later, every one of them collapsed on the ground lifeless.
"What just happened?" as Snow Dew voiced out in confusion, Flame Emperor replied, "not sure. I just can't inspect them."
Wil then turned his head and looked at the fallen skeletons and tried to inspect one.
Mysterious Skeleton
Description: A lifeless skeleton.
"Huh?"
As Wil got confused with that simple description, Huxley explained, "I think it reacted to your aura. As you know Angels are enemies to undead and demons. That's why it went lifeless again as you soon as you left the chamber."
Wil then asked, "And what about the damage? How come Remia wasn't able to damage it?"
Huxley sighed as he shook his head, "I don't have the answer for it."
"This place is really creepy" Snow Dew commented as she takes another glance at the fallen skeletons.
Ignoring her, Wil turned his attention at Remia as she stood behind him like a bodyguard as usual.
"Remia, you alright? Did you receive any debuffs?"
Hearing his question, everyone turned their heads towards Remia, trying to figure out those skeleton's abilities as who knows they might face them again.
"I'm fine. There is no loss of attack or defense abilities of mine. I'm perfectly in my peak condition. Don't need to worry about me."
He stared at her for a second and asked, "Are you sure?"
As she nodded, he turned away while thinking of something and continued to walk.
Unknown to them, as the six of them continued to walk, Remia's eyes turned red for once like the skeletons and her lips curled up before becoming normal again.

They continued to walk again until they found the second chamber and this time, on the right side, Wil saw there is only one skeleton inside but it is twice as bigger as a human one, which laid before a huge rusty box behind it. As soon as they discovered it, Snow Dew's face lit up as she spoke, "it must be a treasure chest."
"But, the main problem is the skeleton," grimaced Flame Emperor.
Remia then voices out his opinion, "if it's just like those little skeletons from the other room, then we can take the treasure easily. We will block it and you adventurers can open the treasure."
Upon hearing her suggestion, as the remaining people agreed, a frown appeared on Wil's face as he stared at Remia for a while.
Feeling his stare, Remia turned towards him and asked curiously, "Is there anything wrong, Time Traveler?"
Wil shook his head, "nothing. I'm just thinking whether it's safe for us to go inside the chamber or not.
I want to test something. I want to see if it will react to only Angels like us or anyone. Flame Emperor and Snow Dew, three of us will stay outside this time."
Unlike last time, the skeleton didn't wake up as the NPCs entered the chamber but instead, ten zombies erupted from the ground.
Without thinking, Snow Dew just tried to attack one of them with her laser canon but the energy bullets disappear the moment they passed through the entrance of the chamber.
"Hmm, looks like we can't attack from the outside."
Meanwhile, glancing at Remia, who looks like she was concentrating on Zombies, he slowly stepped inside to test his theory and was confused to see the Big Skeleton didn't wake up as he expected.
Looking at him, as Flame Emperor about to enter the place, Wil quickly stepped out of the chamber and stopped him, "don't." and then sent a private message, "Not right now. After the zombies are cleared up, let's enter together."
Flame Emperor frowned, "why?"
"I'm just testing out a crazy theory of mine. Please follow my instructions," Wil replied with a grin.
"Fine."
Wil didn't know what Flame Emperor had told to Snow Dew but he found she kept on glancing towards him from time to time as they were waiting for the fight to end. Shaking his head, he ignored her behavior and continued to watch the battle going on inside the chamber.
After all the zombies were dead while the players didn't receive any exp because of isolation, Wil spoke out loud, "everyone is dead right? We are coming in, then."
As three of them stepped inside the chamber, suddenly, a red glow appeared in the skeleton's eyes and the big guy stood up and brandished his hand like a whip towards the NPCs.
Looking at it, Wil mumbled as he glanced at Remia's back, "it's just as I have expected. I'm almost there. Need one more incident."
