Chapter 63: Return

Name:War Online Author:Snowstar
Looking at the Tome that disappeared as Wil put away the Book of Destiny; everyone believed that it was indeed a special scroll.

Still, they were skeptical about the time limit as they never heard of such an overpowered skill.

After all, even their Lord Raziel wasn't capable of it. So, they just thought that either Wil was probably got scammed by someone or he was pulling their leg.

That's why, even though they continued to attack the frozen enemy, they weren't reckless about their attacks.

But, as more than 20 seconds passed, they started to believe that whatever Wil said might be true.

After it crossed the 30-second mark, their attacks started to become a bit reckless while keeping their mana in check.

After another 15 seconds passed, their trust in Wil further increased, and attacked the snake with their strongest skills but how could've they guessed that after mere 5 seconds, the freezing effect will disappear all of a sudden as if it doesn't exist and thereby freeing the Cobra.

"F***… Didn't you say it would last 5 minutes? Athelard, quickly, use area-wide heal."

"Uhh… I can't right now…" replied Athelard after realizing there wasn't enough mana to use it.

"Run and stay away from its range," shouted Garvin as he jumped aside.

But, it was already too late as the Green flames turned into Blue and engulfed them. The blue flames quickly burned all the things present within a 50-meter radius. Not even fruits that were hung so high were spared.

Wil, who already removed his equipment, stopped flying and embraced the fire to die a quick death.

East Ocean City;

As Wil resurrected at the resurrection point, he immediately checked the party and saw they haven't died yet but still, close.

After equipping himself again, Wil walked towards the teleportation point that's in the same temple and teleported to Capital city after paying a gold coin as a fee.

Looking at the party, he smiled, "okay. Everyone wiped out and we returned. Too bad, I fell to Level-149 but anyway, I can level up at any time. It isn't a big deal."

After getting out of the temple, Wil chose a remote location and used Resurrection skill to revive the dead Royal-Knights.

As the four Royal-Knights appeared, they were taken aback to find themselves alive.

"We are alive?" "It looks like the capital city" "Maybe, it's an afterlife" "The last thing I remember that we were burned by Blue Flames" "It's all his fault."

*Cough* Cough* "This isn't the afterlife. You are all alive," said Wil while they were busy discussing.

Only then, they realized the presence of Wil behind them. Garvin almost took out his weapon, "you… because of you…"

Wil interrupted him with a sigh, "I can't believe I got scammed. I apologize for the mistake."

Renart, the nice guy, waved his hand, "it's fine. We are also careless. By the way, how do we come back from the dead?"

Wil bitterly smiled, "I bought a resurrection scroll from an acquaintance. That's 500 gold coins. I guess I made a lot of loss."

Upon hearing it, the NPCs didn't comment on it and stayed silent.

Looking at their reaction, Wil thought, "good. With this, I'll have no problems with the King."

As he guessed, after reaching the palace, they recounted the whole story while leaving out his mistake.

*Ding. You successfully completed the Quest.

*Ding. King's favorability increased by 10

Wil removed the epic grade light armor on him and handed it to a soldier before her, showing that he returned the equipment.

"Good. Viscount Time Traveler, as I promised, you'll receive your 10% share of the resources and will be given the priority to pick any one item of all the things that were brought by the army from the hidden realm. Until then, you are a guest of the royal family."

Wil bowed lightly, "thank you, your majesty."

Then, she spoke, "I'm mobilizing the Royal Legion 1st squad. Summon General Gerrad here. He'll lead the…"

Just then, Raziel stroked his beard and interrupted, "Your majesty, I'll lead it personally."

"Eh?"

Upon hearing him, not only Mirella but also the rest of the ministers were surprised as they heard Raziel himself is taking the charge.

"Lord Raziel, You are the guardian of our kingdom. I don't think it is right to leave his highness alone. Moreover, you can't forget your oath to leave his highness," Duke Nukegan stood up and refuted.

"How dare you talk to Lord Raziel like that in front of me, Duke Nukegan," growled Mirella.

Realizing his mistake, Nukegan hurriedly bowed, "I apologize for my rude behavior, your majesty. I'm just worried about your safety."

"Considering you are my maternal uncle, I'll forgive you. But, if you speak about Lord Raziel like that next time, don't blame for being ruthless."

After warning the Duke, Mirella turned towards Raziel who was lost in thoughts and asked, "There's a look of concern on your face. Is it really serious?"

Raziel replied, "A deep abyss that can block the light exists in the realm where there is no possibility of even forming a mere shade. I'm just curious to see what lies inside of it."

"It's a Level-200 legendary grade monster but not my problem. So, I'll keep my mouth shut," thought Wil as he silently stood.

After realizing the king didn't have any interest to have a conversation, Wil excused himself and he was brought to a guest room.

After confirming that it was the same room, not the special room that gives free exp, Wil immediately logged out and returned to the real world.

As Wil stepped out the capsule, he saw another capsule installed in the corner of the room while clearing out everything else.

"Hmm, looks like he bought it."

After sending him the text that he's leaving, Wil left Aster's home and started driving towards his apartment.

15 minutes later, he reached home. After brushing and bathing, Wil went to the 9th floor and pressed the doorbell.

"Hey, Wil. You are early?"

Cericia opened the door and was surprised to see Wil in front of her.

He casually replied, "Well, I skipped the last class. So, I returned 10 minutes ago."

Without thinking much, he entered the flat while Cericia's expression darkened for some reason.

As he saw Walter was sitting in the living room and reading a book, Wil greeted him respectfully.

Walter nodded indifferently, "it's a good thing you didn't let us wait for too long." Closing the book, he continued, "Let's go."

"Ah, wait for me, Dad. I'll go and change my dress. Just 5 minutes."

"But, the dress"

By the time Wil finished the sentence "is good too," Cericia rushed into her room and closed it. Walter sighed as he shook his head silently.

5 minutes later, she opened the door and immediately asked Wil, "Is this good?"

Looking at her one-piece blue dress, Wil replied with a nod, "You look stunning."

A smile appeared on her as she grabbed Wil's arm, "Let's go?"

At first, they went to a high-class restaurant to have lunch.

After that, Silver took them to the Leafway Sky tower, a 173-floor attraction that has a lot of visitors. After looking at the city from the observatory deck, they went to the city center that's famous for Shopping malls.

By the time, Cericia has done with her shopping, it already became evening and they had dinner outside. Because Walter is in a hurry, Wil didn't take them to downtown where the famous Manchong street is located.

After having dinner, they went straight to Airport to drop Walter.

Looking at her, Walter spoke sternly, "Cherry, I'll return in a week. Behave yourself." Then, he turned his gaze towards Wil and spoke softly, "I leave my daughter in your care. Look after her well."

Wil nodded with a smile, "you don't need to worry about her security, Mr. Rodin. AT the very least, you can trust Silver's capabilities."

Walter smiled and turned around.

Just then, Cericia, who is grabbing his arm with her left hand and waving to her father happily, removed her hands off him and spoke coldly, "Williard, you can go back. I'll have some drinks and return later."

Wil suddenly turned towards her with a frown, realizing her change of attitude.

Feeling his gaze, She turned her head and looked at him, "What? My dad is gone. Are you expecting me to act clingy and sweet even now?"
