Chapter 185: Rescuing Scarlet part-2

Name:War Online Author:Snowstar
Outside of Viper gang's HQ;

Blair Badger roared at the police at the top of his lungs after getting scared by an attack from the helicopter.

"What the hell do you guys want with me?"

The police followed their orders and didn't reply to him. They just stood in their place while the two helicopters also didn't engage after firing a few rounds.

Blair felt that their silence was even scarier. So, he asked again, "okay, now, tell me, what's the problem. Are you here to arrest me or something? Or is it a drug raid… Just open your f**k**g mouths God dammit…"

Another round was fired by the helicopter, nearby their feet, this time, making him almost lose his balance and get caught by his guards.

Suddenly, one of the guards whispered something in his ears.

"Fine, suit yourselves."

Narrowing his eyes towards those two helicopters, Blair turned around and entered the compound while a few guards stood at the entrance with their guns.

The police didn't care about it. They continued to wait until everyone arrives. They were also excited inside themselves to clean this garbage and make their city clean.

It's just that their city police commissioner never gave such permission before, so, they were frustrated every day, to free them even after arresting the Viper gang with evidence.

Now that they have got a chance, they will sure to eradicate the Viper gang.

Meanwhile, in the limousine, Wil nodded in satisfaction after Blair backed away.

"Mr. Ravens, I don't understand why are waiting for others? We can just tell our demands, right?

Those two vehicles are armed with even missiles. They are enough to take them down."

Upon hearing this legion R's deputy commander's question, Wil can't help but bursts into a laugh, "do you really think so, general? Don't overestimate your military too much…"

While the one-star general frowned a bit, Silver explained, "each mafia group that controls the city has their own weapon factory, and research department to develop new weapons.

They have a lot of means to counter those missiles or machine guns.

That's why the Federation was never able to control the Western Continent. If we are going for a war, you should prepare for casualties…"

"And that's why we are not going for a war, Silver." Wil interrupted him, "this is where 500 soldiers and police are necessary. My motto is to force your enemy to kneel before you rather than killing him."

Both of them looked at Wil in silence.

Silver then once again remembered a memory of Mafia Lord Louis, the grandfather of Wil.

It was around 22 years ago when Louis retired and pass the position to his son Philip. Silver and Storm are smiling in happiness for their friend.

When letting him take the seat, Louis said, "Remember Phil. Our motto shouldn't be destroying our enemies but it is to force them to kneel before us. That's how you'll keep this position. Otherwise, you'll make too many enemies and trigger a rebellion."

Back to the present, Silver shook his head, putting the thought away, and reminded himself that they are no longer a part of the Mafia.

In the meantime, Blair started giving orders to his right hand, "Steve, let's bring out the big guns and inform everyone to come here asap. Do these mo***r f*****s think I'll afraid if they had the support of a couple of helicopters that can shoot down from the sky? Guess what! We can blow up anytime we want…"

"But Sir, our men can't. The roads are blocked by the police. If they are targeting us, then they won't make it here, not with those things in the sky."

Realizing the problem Blair then asked, "how many men do we have here?"

"82 Sir. If we exclude housekeeping staff, hostages, those two call girls…" He shut his mouth as soon as he earned a glare from his boss.

"82 are more than enough to hold down our fort." Blair nodded, "Bring out all the grenade launchers, bazookas. We'll first blow up those things in the sky and take out the rest… The police need to know who's the boss here."

Five minutes later;

"Hahaha…" Blair laughed as he grabbed a bazooka, "It's been a long time since I'm…"

But his happiness was short-lived.

His words were cut off by his right hand who had a panic written on his face after he disconnects the call.

"Sir, there are now, four attack helicopters in the sky."

Just as Blair was about to retort that it isn't a big deal, Steve continued, "there are also sightings of dozen transport helicopters, and our boys saw a lot of parachutes in the sky.

And there are a couple of military tanks and several jeeps entered the city and heading this way. The police are clearing the way. Looks like the lockdown has something to do with this…"

Blair was stunned on the spot, hearing the report. "The military is involved in this, not just lending a hand?"

*Ring*Ring*

Steve picked up the call.

"Yes, Casey… Terrorists? What?" "Which Channel?" "Every channel?" Steve was taken aback by the news and quickly opened a news channel on his mobile phone. Sir, you need to look at this."

As Blair watched the news on the WCN channel and his eyes widened his shock and the bazooka slips from his hand and hit his leg.

In the channel, five to six buildings in a 5-acre compound were shown up from the sky. On the side of the screen, a news reporter is speaking, "Claimed by the police commissioner, a terrorist group named Eclipse entered the city this afternoon.

Under the order of our western continent's police chief, Mr. Walter Rodin, the police commissioner acted early and has ordered the police to lock down the city.

According to our sources, it looks like Viper Group had been sheltering the terrorist. Now, as you can see, the police confirmed our information.

The police surrounded the compound and asked him to hand over the group but it looks like the Viper Group's chairman, Mr. Blair Badger is keen on refusing the negotiation."

Then a video clip of him returning to the compound and closing the gates played on the news channel.

"This fu****g media, when the hell did those police proposed a negotiation and when did I refuse it. Wait a second…"

He then looked at Steve and asked, "are those terrorists hiding in our compound?"

Steve shook his head, "No, Sir. There wasn't any unauthorized entry unless they were able to climb the 6-meter wall equipped with wires at the top that generates enough power to kill an average human in instant.

I think they are using terrorists as a diversion to take us out…"

Meanwhile, after repeating the clip, a few more times, the reporter continued, "But, the citizens don't need to fear. The military is helping out the police. Sightings of military vehicles are seen…"

They played the clip of tanks and jeeps, and then the landings of the soldiers nearby the Viper gang HQ.

"We neither know the name of this terrorist nor we found any pictures of them but the military's actions tell us that they are indeed a dangerous threat to our society."

Then, the reporter disappeared and the live coverage is being shown as they were recording from drones in several parts of the city.

Blair slammed the phone onto his face in anger, "you mean, all of this for us, a tiny gang of this mere first-tier city? Look… Is this how it really seemed? It seems as if they are planning a f**k**g siege on city…"

*Fuuu* Taking a long breath, Blair caught his collar and looked him in the eye, "listen, carefully. I don't want the police or any army to step inside my compound, you understand that? I need all of our boys to search every corner.

If they climb the wall, and there are no dead bodies, that means, they must be heavily injured. Find them..."

One hour later, Steve received a negative message from everyone aside from a hostage who was locked in a storage room.

They didn't take it seriously as they never kept tabs on kidnapping. After all, there are at least 15 people like Scarlet who are currently being held, hostage.

Just at that time, Steve's phone rang.

He looked at Blair and said, "Sir, it's the commissioner."

"Give it to me." Blair took it and picked up the call.

"Hello."

"Hello, Mr. Badger, this is Edward Hart, Hailey city police commissioner."

"Yes, I know who you are… Look, I had my men search every corner here. There is no sight of this terrorist group. You have the wrong information."

Then, only a simple reply was heard from the other side, "let's negotiate." The voice was somehow familiar yet unfamiliar at the same time…
