Astaria island, a district once part of the capital region of the kingdom of Athledon, now, under the rule of a noble family of Astaria.
After the fall of Athledon, just like Ormshire Island, it was taken over by one of the noble families of the kingdom, and ever since then, it is ruled by them.
It was every other day on the island. Streets are bustling with people. Soldiers are patrolling here and there. However, different races are accepted here.
Two men are walking side by side in the market to meet a certain person.
They are Wil and the fallen Prince Hugo. Everywhere they go, people around started to give them strange looks, especially Wil.
Even though the island is full of tourists, they never saw a creature with pure and beautiful wings like Wil.
It might also because of the luxurious Prince robes he was wearing. It also added a certain effect on common folks.
Wil is too busy to take care of the gazes they are giving, right now.
"So, are you sure this guy will have the information?" Wil asked Hugo while hoping to complete the quest as soon as possible before the update arrives.
"Yeah, he's the one who foretold me that I will meet the destined person who will help me reclaim my kingdom," Hugo replied, implying that it was him.
'Bullsh*t.' Wil thought, 'he's just referring to the first player who set on that island.'
After taking many turns, they reached a dark alley, a narrow road that's leading to the underground market.
As they entered the black market, Wil saw various weapons and accessories that are put up on sale.
Sadly, the highest grade he can found is heroic and every piece of equipment is around level 250-300.
So, he didn't bother to exchange the Llyne gold for Athledon gold, which at the moment is a 1:1 ratio, but also didn't stroll around further after losing interest and followed Hugo to a run-down store.
The store's full of miscellaneous things like scrolls, books, fake relics, etc…
*Knock*knock*
Prince Hugo knocked on the table, "Hello… Anybody there?"
An old man with wrinkles all over his face slowly stood up from under the table. It seems he was taking a nap.
'Don't even care whether someone will steal huh!' Wil thought as he inspected the man.
He was stunned as soon as he saw the info.
Kenneth Owler
Level: ???
HP: ???
Description: Once a renowned Seer of Athledon, now, is nothing but a shopkeeper of Owler general store.
'Damn, an ascended is hiding in this city and that too, a Seer? I thought that job was just another rumor on the Galaxy net. Someone must have acquired this profession from this old man.
It's really true that hidden quests/characters always be found at the least expected places…' Wil thought as he examined the old man.
"It seems you have returned with the savior, Prince Athledon," the old man spoke as soon as he saw Hugo. Then, he glanced at Wil. "An otherworldly Angel, huh! I didn't expect an Angel race warrior would find this place, soon. After all, the barrier set by ArchMage Solomon hasn't been destroyed yet."
Wil respectfully bowed and greeted him, "Crown Prince of Llyne kingdom greets the elder."
"Eh?" Hugo turned his head in surprise, "you are a prince?"
"Oh! No wonder you wore that robe," The old man commented with a nod before he cupped his fists, "Excuse my manners, your highness. It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Kenneth Owler."
Then, the old man asked, "the pattern on those clothes tells that you are from the southern part of the Xynnar continent. So, you have traveled this far, your highness?"
Wil nodded with a smile, "Yes. Due to some reasons, a part of the barrier is lifted by our guardian, Archangel Raziel. So, I'm on a journey to roam the oceans and visit the islands."
"I guess it really must be fate, then." The old man once again commented before he asked Hugo, "So, Prince Athledon, what brings you here?"
Wil thought it's strange that the old man is giving him more respect than his own kingdom's prince. Maybe it's because he's a fallen prince? Or is it because he is a savior? Who knows…
Hugo replied to Owler, "I need to know where the Imperial sword of Athledon is."
"So, you are here to seek the current whereabouts of the sword, huh!" Follow me.
Both of them followed him to the room behind the curtain.
It's a small room with nothing but a round table and four chairs. On top of the table, there's a crystal ball.
Upon looking carefully, the crystal ball seems to be filled with some sort of clouds.
He inspected the crystal ball.
Ball of Prophecy
Level: N/A
Class: Seer
Description: The ball of Prophecy is a magical object used by Seers to see the possible future as well as to locate the things from far away.
'So, it also works as a satellite. How convenient.'
They took their seats.
"Please place your palms on the crystal ball," Owler asked Hugo.
Hugo followed his orders while Wil observed it carefully.
The old man then placed his palms on Hugo's and said, "now, imagine how the sword looks like. The more detailed is your imagination, the more easier for me to locate it."
As Hugo imagined the sword according to the drawings from the history records, the crystal ball glowed and both of them put their hands away.
Wil saw the clouds were cleared and an image slowly appeared.
He saw a ruined fortress, buildings, there are even treasures around. The only thing is that they are underwater. Other than that, there's no other clue.
"The sword is where the palace is resting. It's right next to us, all along." The old man said while Hugo and Wil continued to watch the scene.
After 20 seconds are over, it disappeared and the old man said, "but at the bottom of the ocean lies the guardian of North Grennola. Both of your strengths aren't enough to tackle that monster."
"You can leave it to me," Wil pointed himself with the thumb as he replied. "It's my job to collect them."
Then, he suddenly remembers something, "can you perhaps fulfill a request of mine?"
"What is it that you wish to see, your highness?"
Wil then replied, "I lost my book of destiny near the Marsh Islands. I wish to know its whereabouts…"
"Book of Destiny?" This Ascendant was clearly taken aback upon hearing the legendary grade item, which is normally used to store their skill power and use it against enemies when they don't have mana. But, there's another function that only high-level NPCs like him know.
"Your highness, please, place your palms on the crystal ball."
Just like Hugo, Wil followed the same procedure. Since the book is with him for a long time, it was easy for him to imagine its appearance.
But, what followed is the appearance of sweat on the old man as there's nothing but black in the crystal ball.
"I'm afraid, it's gone," Owler spoke in a shaky tone.
"What do you mean by that? Did any monster swallowed it?" As Wil probed him, Owler shook his head, "no, it's not. All I can say is that it gave birth to a terrifying monster and seeking the book will only bring disaster. I'm not allowed to say more…"
Wil frowned upon hearing that. 'Terrifying monster? Perhaps that damn whale swallowed it and mutated or something?'
