Chapter 254: Meeting Aerona Marten

Name:War Online Author:Snowstar
One day before D-day;

Imperial palace, Llyne Kingdom;

"Is he still there?" Rikilda asked with a frown on her face.

A Royal knight replied, "Yes, Your Majesty. For the past 16 hours, Prince Time Traveler never left the library even once."

"Is that nephew of mine too bored that he came here to trouble me or is he looking for something?" Rikilda wondered. "What are your orders, Your Majesty?" The Royal Knight asked her.

She waved her hands, "nothing. Just leave him alone, even if he wants to stay there for eternity."

Sending away the Royal knight, Rikilda mumbled to herself, "as long as he doesn't ask to return his money, it is fine. Things aren't going well the way I want to, these days…"

Quickly, she became irritated as he punched the handle of the seat, "Gosh, how did that stupid brother of mine even rule this kingdom that was filled with greedy merchants and nobles… I have more freedom and power as the Grand Duchess than being the queen."

Meanwhile, in the Imperial library, the books are scattered across the room. Wil was frantically turning the pages and reading them non-stop for the past 16 hours.

"Empire of Eden… Empire of Eden… Just where the hell is its capital…"

He threw away the book and took another book that contained Elves' history.

An hour later;

Turning the pages, Wil sighed, "Every book contained Elves and their Eden Empire's great history but none of these books contains… Hmm?"

He saw the drawing of an Elf on the page. Below her image, there was a birth and death date. "Born 2843 BC – Died 86 BC"

It immediately drew his attention as he finds her extremely familiar. He mumbled, "Aerona…"

Wil continued to read. Unlike the other books, this one contains her childhood history.

"Aerona Marten, the fifth child of the noble Marten family and served the Elven Queen, Alicia Eden as the High Priestess.

Losing her parents and siblings at the age of eight, Aerona grew up with his Eldest sister…"

After reading the story, Wil closed the book, "Sase Allanar, huh! I hope she would be there. I only have one shot to scan the whole region."

Not bothering to keep them back to the shelves, Wil left the Imperial library. Exiting the palace, Wil went straight to the teleportation formation.

As he browsed the globe, Wil was taken aback to see his destination was in the Searvale Kingdom, all along.

He immediately suspected Galaxy Net whether they chose because of her but he crossed off the thought after remembering she went to her home after they set up their base. So, it's a complete coincidence.

*Ding! 10 gold coins are deducted.

He disappeared there and found himself in a similar environment except that there's a statue of a tree in the center, instead of Zeus.

The elves are praying to the Yggdrasill, the world tree that has been disappeared or hidden. Wil never cared much about it.

As he stepped outside of the temple while transforming into an Elf, Wil then took out his Crystal ball with his left hand while his other hand was occupied by the pillar, which he shortened to 1 ft long.

His class automatically changed to Seer and his character name changed to Willard Ravens, although the appearance remains the same except for ears.

Wil closed his eyes and spoke, "Activate Lv2 Divination, 30 km radius."

As 6000 mana points were deducted, almost emptying his mana pool, Wil closed his eyes and pictured Aerona's figure.

As if he was watching from the sky, the whole 30 km range was now visible to him and it zoomed in within a fraction of section, displaying the Mayor's mansion and the entrance hall where she was talking with a male Elf, presumable the Mayor.

He turned his head to the side. Just a mile away, the Mayor's mansion was located. "Well, another unnecessary move… She's near to me."

Looking at the Cooldown on the skill, Wil sighed, "now, I can't use the skill for 60 hours… Anyway, the job is done. So… let's go…"

Wearing the Mask of Tranquility to not get detected by the players, Wil walked towards the Imperial Palace.

"Halt your steps." As expected, the guards stopped him right at the gate.

"I wish to see Aerona Marten," Wil spoke his intentions clearly while removing his mask. "Can you inform her?"

He then handed the earrings to them. As they were bound, he wasn't afraid of them being stolen.

"Once she sees it, she will know who I am."

"Oh! Those earrings… Lady Aerona spoke us about you." The guards bowed to him. "Please forgive our manners… She's waiting for you at the Entrance Hall."

Wil was taken aback by their words. 'Did she know that I was coming? But, she isn't a Seer though… I was right. She wasn't a simple Ascended. She might be of next level.'

Nodding to them, Wil walked through the gate and entered the Mansion.

Just like his vision, he saw Aerona and the Mayor.

"Welcome, Savior. I was waiting for you." Aerona greeted him with a smile as she stood up from the seat.

The Mayor was surprised at her words. He then stared at Wil.

"Miss Marten, it's been a while." After exchanging pleasantries, Wil sat before her while the Mayor left to give them space.

"Looks like you have many encounters after I parted ways. I didn't expect that you turn into an elf. I'm also sensing the blood of Dragon, a Demon, and also an Angel inside of you…" Her eyes widened in realization. "You awakened the ancient bloodline of Neo-hybrid?"

Then, her eyes landed on the small rod in his left hand. She almost lost her coolness, "That's Ruyi Jingu Bang… the staff of Sun Wukong. That means you found the other two…"

As his secrets were like an open book in front of this 2-star Ascended, Wil confessed the truth, "Yes. A lot happened and turned out this way."

She slapped her thigh. "I knew it. Poor Siren, the kid missed an extraordinary opportunity."

'Rini? What was her connection with this Elf?' Wil wondered but didn't voice out his doubts.

"Okay, let's come to matter directly. Tell me, what are you here for?" Aerona asked him.

"I'm here to ask you a favor," Wil replied to her.

"A favor?"

Wil nodded, "Yes." He then took out his mythic grade ring. "I need you to appraise it."

As she took the ring from his hands, she stared at it for a few seconds and spoke, "I can sense the aura of the Seraph in this ring. Is this…"

Wil nodded in response.

He saw her eyes turned golden as she concentrated on the ring.

She mumbled, "It has five locks, huh!"

Aerona then looked at them, "okay, this one's no big deal. I can appraise the ring and unlock all five of them but in return, you have to do a task for me."

Wil nodded as it was within his expectation. Even though he hoped that she will remember his favor, since she already gave him her earrings, he expected there would be a twist like this.

"Please tell me what I have to do."

Aerona answered, "I want you to assist my disciple, Princess Siren in this war against Uflenor."

"Eh?"
