Imperial palace, Athledon kingdom;
"I apologize for the late, Your Majesty." Wil made a slight bow to the King and then greeted the guardian, "Greetings, Master. I've finished crafting the Ball of Prophecy."
Owler was happy upon hearing it. "Good." He nodded with a smile.
Meanwhile, King Hugo also smiled, "Congratulations, Brother Time Traveler."
The ministers started murmuring among themselves. They didn't know that their guardian, the Seer Owler has taken in a disciple and this stranger with white wings is on friendlier terms with their king.
"So, um… What is the reason you summoned me for, Your Majesty?" Wil asked him. Even though it's been like more than a week, Wil didn't forget Hugo's invitation to the palace.
Before the war begins, he wanted to clear all the unfinished business, at least as much as he can.
"Actually, Lord Owler had a vision that our kingdom is going to be attacked. We are reinforcing the army everywhere.
So, I thought of offering help to you but we got a report that you are already strengthening Ormshire's defense."
"Oh!" After realizing that there's no important talk, Wil bowed to him, "then, I'll my leave, Your Majesty. My homeland is going to be attacked by a neighboring kingdom."
"Your Homeland?" King Hugo's expression became serious. Wil was the savior of his kingdom, his dynasty. He was someone Hugo treated like a brother. So, he thought he can't sit, doing nothing. "You can return with a regiment of our army."
But, Contrary to his expectations, Wil rejected his help. "I apologize, Your Majesty. My people are a bunch of prideful fools. They would rather die than accept the help from outsiders."
Originally, he wanted to say that their soldiers won't be much help to him but thinking about their good relationship, he lied.
Wil was also confident neither the king nor the guardian would suspect his words based on their favorability, which is already as high as 80.
Just as he expected, they believed his words and he left the palace before flying away to Vulture city, where he met the General.
"Oh! 76 soldiers between levels 300-400, 1682 between levels 200-300, 5412 between levels 100-200…" Wil was taken aback in surprise as he saw their improvement within just 5 days. "This only contained our data, right? You didn't include the helpers from my homeland, right?"
General Remont shook his head, "No, Your Majesty. This is just the strength of our current military. Give me just another week… With the help of Vice-general Skylar and his men, I'm confident that everyone will cross level-200."
"Good job…" Wil nodded with a smile. He was satisfied that his money was well spent.
What he was most satisfied with was the number of people that made it into 100-200 levels. Previously, it used to be only over 3400 but now, the numbers increased by 2000… If that wasn't great progress, he didn't know what to call it.
The happy Wil took out a sword from his inventory and handed it to Remont. "Although this is a level-350, it is still a legendary grade sword, much better than your current ones."
It was one of the pieces of equipment, he stole from the treasury. Since he can't use it, he gave it to his general as a reward instead.
"This…" His hands shook while his eyes widened in shock as he took the exquisite sword. "Your Majesty…"
*Ding! Your favorability with Remont increased by 30.
*Ding! Favorability reached the maximum.
Wil smiled as he read the notification. He felt it was worth it.
Then, he selected a hundred of them who are around level 300-400 and ordered them to teleport to Deloris and wait there until further orders.
As for the remaining, they will continue to train here.
Wil felt that it's good that NPCs can also get stronger even without killing monsters or else, he would have been forced to teleport them to Llyne which only expose his hidden card.
Finishing his business at Vulture city, Wil flew to Scarlet town, which was now bustling with NPCs just like a normal town.
However, it was currently dominated by Skynet, a subsidiary guild that was formed by Akiko and her followers.
Due to the town having high teleportation fees and not having any dungeons, the casual players didn't bother to shift. Of course, the other reason being the upcoming War.
As for the guilds, well, due to Wil's notorious reputation created by half-truths, they didn't dare to set up a branch either. Of course, that didn't stop them from sending their scouts to keep an eye.
That leaves with the only guild that set up their roots at Scarlet town, the Sky guild, which is a subsidiary guild formed by Akiko and her followers.
At first, they planned to build a guild branch but Wil's performance in World Auction made them go with their original plan.
"Good…"
After seeing the town's stats, Wil directly went to the temple without meeting Akiko as he doesn't have a reason to and entered the teleportation formation.
Transforming into an Elf, Wil selected the city of Sase Allanar.
Sase Allanar, Searvale Kingdom;
This time, Wil wasn't stopped by the guards and was let into the Mayor's mansion, remembering his appearance and the stone staff in his hand.
Walking through the gate, Wil put on the Mask of Tranquility that he received from Aerona, and just in case Rini might figure out his identity, he put on a blank mask.
After all, the Mask of Tranquility only covers one's eyes while hiding the user's information.
To his relief, she was alone with the mayor just like last time. He removed both the masks and stepped inside the house.
"You are here, savior." Aerona smiled as she got up from the seat. The Mayor did the same. "We don't have much time. It's time to leave." She said to Wil while walking towards him.
"Put the mask on." She said to him before reaching out to his shoulder.
But he didn't put on the mask. Instead, he asked, "Before we go, can you give me your word?"
"Word?" Aerona was puzzled, "what is it?"
Wil replied, "I want you to swear on Yggdrasill that you will never disclose my identity. You shouldn't have a problem with that, right?"
