Wild zone, Searvale Kingdom;
Thousands of Angel race players were flying towards the capital while Bran is leading the other players through the land route. Everyone was controlling their speed to move together.
They crossed level-300 wild zone, then, 290, then 280… not even one player has been sighted. While everyone wondered whether the players went off to attack the Uflenor, some guild leaders and high-level players knew about the ambush lying waiting for them but they kept quiet under Bran's orders.
Bran finally opens his mouth as soon as they reached the level-270 zone, The Forest of Kyha Alari that stretches all the way until level-240 zone.
Only then, he informed about the ambush in the forest. It is done to keep the other party in the dark of the fact that they knew about their plan…
But, just as they entered the forest, more than ten thousand arrows were shot towards the skies, presumably targeting the Angel race players.
They didn't expect they will be the ones who will get ambushed first, even though they are flying 200-300 meters above the ground.
"Everyone, defend…" The leader of the flying unit spoke loudly as he knew that they can't dodge them.
Too bad that there aren't enough guardian class players here… So, they had no choice but to get hit and heal themselves or the wizards.
The Angel race players indeed have the hardest during the war. To this date, so many complained about the unfairness of the company regarding the wings.
Many casual gamers thought Angel and the Demon race are the best since they can fly.
It was good when someone battle against a few mobs but during a war like this… it became very hard for the casual players to attack/defend while flying in the sky, especially, unleashing single target attacks while keep flying as the battlefield is packed with hundreds of thousands of players from either side.
And the second problem is that they can be targeted easily from the ground due to fewer numbers.
The third problem arises when they fight in an unfavorable environment, such as the forest zones which won't be helpful for the flying players because of the obstruction of trees.
For the players on the ground, they only had to dodge the trunks but for the flying ones, they also had to dodge several branches, not to mention, the ambushes.
The fourth and final issue is that the race only suits those who want to play Ranger classes… And because of the changes caused by the major update, gunners like SnowDew also disappeared and were forced to change their classes.
As Archery is a high difficulty profession, seventy percent of the Angel race warriors ended up being either healers or wizards.
When in PVP, usually, a healer will always be the first target of enemies. Naturally, they suffered the losses and Elven players were also confident in winning this battle too.
Under the lead of Royal Knights, Elves who are hiding on top of the trees kept on shooting the Angel race players who are outside of the forest.
It didn't take long for the Elves to successfully wipe out almost thirty percent of the players that are flying. The rest either scattered away or descended into the forests from the skies.
While they can't do anything about the scattered ones, the players who entered the forest faced even more of a horrible outcome. Not even one of them was spared.
Upon hearing the result, Searvale's General smiled and praised their Supreme Commander but not long after, another scout appeared with a piece of bad news, destroying his mood.
"What happened?" The General frowned.
"The first and second line of defense was destroyed completely." The scout reported.
"Hmm…" The General became serious. He took the remaining Royal knights and soldiers with him and left towards the level-270 zone.
Two parties were defeated means he had already lost around 50 thousand players.
The General wanted to solve the problem personally so that there won't be too many casualties.
But, as soon as he reached the place, his eyes widened in shock.
Even the fifth line of defense is already broken and they are currently in sixth defense, which was the strongest that comprised of over four hundred thousand players.
It wasn't the speed that shocked him. It was their formation that leading the enemy players of Reverie.
The General saw a team of players that were leading the army. They weren't that many, just roughly around 500, however, they were moving in a Crescent formation with Bran and his team taking the positions in the first layer.
Along the ups were the melee players while protecting the wizards, and gunners who are following them right behind.
"Didn't expect the otherworlders were able to use this formation." The General mumbled to himself.
The ranger class players who are hiding behind the formation are first to attack enemies randomly without any aim while taking care of the ones who are hiding on top of the trees.
Meanwhile, Crescent formation's first layer with hundred players will face head-on, attacking once or twice before continuing to press forward. Then, the players in the second layer will attack, then, third to finish them.
If the Elven players still have health, it will be taken care of players who were following from behind.
Bran and his guild's aim aren't to kill everyone and amass a large amount of War points. Their target is the capital city.
There are two ways to defeat the enemy. One is to kill the king and the other is to occupy all the towns and cities. All he had to lay a siege on the capital. Once he kills the Mayor and occupies it, the native Elves wouldn't be able to attack him.
Not to mention, once the war ends, it will still be under his control to rule, no matter who the ruler is…
That was what Bran's true target is.
With the King personally leading another army from the middle, he was also sure that the enemies will focus on him. So, Bran was never worried about occupying the capital city.
While his plan was proceeding smoothly, his team encountered a team of thousand soldiers, fifty Royal knights, and a General.
"Good…" Bran grinned as soon as he saw them. Even his aim isn't earning War points, he wouldn't say no to free points that were delivered to him, right?
Crimson Sun: Guys, strong enemies lie ahead. Breaking through will make the ones from behind face difficulty… We'll kill them.
After sending a message in the party channel, Bran rushed forward, breaking from the formation.
"Thunder steps," Bran mumbled.
Sparks of lightning started to appear around his feet before he dashed towards a Royal Knight and hack him down.
A few minutes later;
"I should have listened to Princess Siren…" The General who was in charge of the army mumbled before a giant sword appeared in his view and demolished him into nothingness.
Rini warned about Bran's strength about how he can defeat the Generals but none of them took it seriously. How much strength can an otherworlder have?
They would have believed if she said Bran can overpower a Royal knight but a general? If it is someone like Rini with guardian beast, sure, they would take him seriously but the one with no guardian beast… he thought she was stupid.
He wasn't alone… all the other Generals including the Supreme Commander had the same opinion. Now, those stupid thoughts came back to bite him.
