Chapter 294: Luoyang meets Wil part-6

The four bodyguards reached halfway as they run towards Luoyang while the two lackeys stepped forward towards Qian, who was standing behind the taxi.

Before Luoyang defeats the guards, the Mayor's son wanted Qian to be captured to tame this wild monster.

However, they underestimated her skills.

Amid their gazes, Luoyang pushed her leg against the ground and made a black flip.

Just two backflips, she already reached the car, which is at least five meters away.

They felt like they saw some eastern historical fantasy drama where everyone just leaps dozens of meters and clashes their weapons in the air.

The two guys halted their steps.

Reaching the vehicle, she opened the trunk. Thankfully, it was unlocked earlier and spared her the trouble.

She reached out to the toolkit box and took out a wrench.

Making a motion of slightly hitting her palm, she said to the Mayor's son, "I will make sure that you will fear the sight of a woman."

She then turned her head towards his two lackeys, "Why did you stop? Proceed…  Dare to touch, see if I were able to escape with your life or not."

They felt as if her cold voice reverberated through their ears.

She dashed towards them, first, and hit their knees, and then, arms, and then, their back. If it was a game, people would call it a six-hit combo.

The two of them are already down on the ground, losing their consciousness.

In the meantime, the bodyguards almost reached her. Grabbing the wrench tightly, she then dashed towards them.

While she was in the middle of beating up the bodyguards, the Mayor's son managed to shift to the driver's seat.

Luoyang heard the sound of the car's engine. As she turned her head, she saw the guy stepped on the accelerator and ran away from the spot.

"That coward…" She growled under her breath and her strength increased as she beat up them further with the wrench until they fell unconscious.

After everything was over, Qian rushed towards her with tears and hugged her.

"Now… now… everything's over. Let's get back…" Luoyang consoled her terrified friend.

Earlier when she called the police, she didn't know which one picked it up but her call was cut off the moment she said it's the Mayor's son.

"Sister Xu, let's get out of this city as soon as we can…" Qian said after calming down.

"Do you think he'll come back and trouble you?" Luoyang frowned in response.

"You don't know the influence Mayor has in this city." Qian started to explain. "He's been elected as the Mayor by the Federation for the past five terms. He even got a ministerial position at the cabinet but refused it and settled down here.

The whole city is under his control. Even the police won't help us. You are going to Ares City, right? Then, let me tag along with you. There, I have a distant relative. I will ask my uncle to sell the shop for me."

"I'm sorry.. If not for me…" Luoyang, when realized the trouble she had caused for her benefactor who gave her a job and a room to live, felt guilty.

"It's alright. I saved up enough to live for the next year." Qian waved her hands with a smile. "Even in Ares, at least, I won't starve until 3-4 months. With the elections coming up in six months, I doubt they will waste time on us.  And this time is enough to sell my property."

"Good then…" Luoyang sighed in relief.

If she was herself, she wouldn't give a damn even if the enemy is the President but earlier, when she heard the mayor's son tried to target her friend, Luoyang worried whether she will become a victim of her actions once she leaves the city.

That's why she decided to stay and confront the issue. If they really tried to cause the problem, she will use her Xu-Jian (Xu sect's longsword) and paint it with their blood.

But, when she heard Qian's explanation, Luoyang's worries disappeared and she further thought maybe, leaving the city is also a good thing for her. After all, she didn't forget what kind of situation they had to meet.

While they are waiting for the private taxi that Qian booked, Qian's mobile phone rang.

She looked at the screen and saw it was an unknown number. She picked it up. "Hello?"

"Hello?" A strange yet familiar male voice was heard from the other side.

"Who are you?" She asked him.

"Soon, a taxi will arrive and pick you up. I'll need you to do a job for me. In return, I'll give you a hundred thousand Yuan for betraying your friend." The person from the other side said to her.

"Hmm?" Luoyang's ears perked up. She heard the conversation clearly. A frown appeared on her face.

"Shut the f**k up…" Qian shouted in anger as he cut off the call.

"What happened?" Luoyang asked, feigning ignorance.

"No one. It's some ba****d…" She cursed out again. "They can't do anything to you. So, they wanted to use me… Sister Xu… let's not wait until the morning. Let's just leave right now. I don't want to live in this city any longer…"

Qian was worried that she might get enticed by the money. A hundred thousand Yuan can last her years in a tier-1 city like Wular or she can just expand her shop too.

"But, there are no buses or even trains, now," Luoyang replied to her. If they have to leave by bus or train, then they have to wait for at least until 5 a.m.

Can't they just wait 3 hours more?

But, Qian seemed adamant in her decision. "No, if we wait until morning, who knows what those guys will do. We'll take a taxi and go to a nearby town, then, we'll leave for the bus from there…"

Ten minutes later, a taxi arrived. Luoyang opened the door and took the seat. Just as Qian was about to do the same, she got a text message from the bank.

She opened it.

*Your account has been credited with 2,000,000 EY (Eastern Yuan)*

She was taken aback. 'Is this some kind of scam?'

Such types of messages are common but when it showed the sender is the bank, Qian was shocked.

"What happened, Sister Qian? C'mon, sit." Luoyang said to her.

"Ah, Yes." She sat in the car and about to close the door, then, she received another message from an anonymous person.

Luoyang saw Qian's face was frozen in shock while reading the message.

Just as Luoyang moved her forward to see it, Qian hurriedly deleted the message and put it back to the pouch.

"Anything serious?" Luoyang asked her friend.

"Nothing. It's just a threatening message. No big deal." She spoke and closed the door.

"Driver, go and don't stop anywhere until the destination."

The driver nodded while looking straight ahead. He started the vehicle.

While the vehicle is moving, Luoyang saw Qian's face turned nervous. She kept on gripping the edge of the seat while hanging her down.

Luoyang didn't disturb her. She thought sometimes, one needs to be alone to gather their thoughts.

However, soon, the trouble made the way to her, once again.
