"Marsh Islands?" As Wil extended the imaginary straight line that was connected to the seven islands, it cut through the Marsh islands, more specifically, one of the islands.
Looking at it, he suddenly remembered an island where the temple is located.
"Is this coincidence?" He wondered while looking at the map clearly for one more time.
Something told him that the entrance might be linked with the Marsh Islands. He wondered whether Averil getting imprisoned at that location was just a coincidence.
Back when he ventured into the Realm of Light and provided the resources to the kingdom, Mirella told him her story.
From the story mode he watched, it was clear that Raziel was the one that freed Averil from imprisonment.
Then, how did she get imprisoned once again and that too, on an island which was further submerged under the ocean with a guardian?
Even though the data showed that she's a level-400 dragon, Wil knew she was a lot stronger than that, or else, how was she supposed to save Llyne from the Angel of War, Gadriel.
So, Wil concluded that she's at least a level-500 dragon and was in a weakened state. So, that would mean either she was imprisoned by an Ascended or a powerful level-500.
However, all the Ascended NPCs are the guardians of their respective kingdoms. They won't be involved much in the story and are only considered extras. Only Aerona Marten was an exception.
If Averil would have caused trouble, she would either be exterminated or get imprisoned at their specific kingdoms, not somewhere in the Marsh Islands.
That leaves level-500 NPCs. It isn't also possible as only in the latest update, the levels of the kings increased from 400 to 500. That would only mean one thing.
This NPC is an outsider.
Wil immediately thought of a dragon race member who wanted to punish her for desertion.
Since her father is a dragon king, maybe, that NPC thought she would be spared. So, he might have imprisoned her in the Marsh Islands and later submerged it to make sure no one finds her location.
As one wouldn't do that in any random place, Marsh Islands might contain a secret. When he thought of such a theory, Wil felt that he might have solved the puzzle.
Suddenly, he remembered that he used the Imperial sword to let the submerged island resurface.
He immediately shook his head, "Nah, I shouldn't jump to conclusions based on this. There are a lot of mysteries concerning the Dragon princess.
How about instead of going directly to the Marsh Islands, let's search for the clues along the way? If my theory is right, then, I would find it. And there's one more riddle to solve."
Wil glanced at the little dragon girl and thought, "The place is where North meets the south. I wonder what does that means."
Both of them didn't stay on the island, much longer.
Carrying Iphi on the cloud, Wil flew away amid the gazes of the natives who appeared very afraid of his appearance as well as his level.
"So, where are we going, next?" asked the dragon girl with a smile on her face. She seemed to enjoy riding on the cloud.
"To check my hypothesis," replied Wil as he continued to fly. He didn't explain details when she asked further.
The background story of Mirella is a bit complicated.
And coupled with the girl has an intelligence of a 7-year-old, he had a doubt whether she would even understand anything even if he were to explain. In return, she would get more confused and will ask him a series of questions.
During the past 3 days, as he got busy finding the traces of the dragon race while visiting several islands, the dragon girl became so curious that she asked literally about every little thing that was unfamiliar to her.
"What is that tree called?" "Why are these humans black?" "Why are these humans white and yellowish?" "Why do these humans have paint on their cheeks?" "What is this costume?" "What is this pointy weapon with handle?" "Why do these humans wear such unusual outfits?" "Why do these people build houses on the trees?"
Wil was almost annoyed with her curiosity but put up with it. The longer he spent with her, the more his will towards killing her after finding the island has been increased.
After several hours of flying along the path instead of searching every available island, Wil finally reached a tiny island. However, there was no human settlement there.
So, he logged out to take a rest for the night. Before he left, Wil absorbed the dragon girl into the gourd to make sure that she won't disappear by the time he relogins. Who knows… anything might happen.
The next day morning, Wil reappeared on the island and freed Iphi once again.
Although she felt displeased with the fact that she was sent to imprisonment, since Wil asked her permission to do that providing a reason that it's for her safety, Iphi didn't make a fuss about it.
Once again, the pair continued their journey. After flying for another six hours, Wil finally found a group of small tropical islands with amazing beaches and forests, of course, human settlements.
From the sky, he was able to see the houses that most resembled normal residences in the towns of the kingdoms.
Wil and the cloud slowly started to descend on one of the islands.
Meanwhile, on the Isle of Bordheim, which is where the majority of the inhabitants live, a couple of armored soldiers with spears in their hands were patrolling on the beach.
"Brother Kahl, do we need to be equipped with this heavy armor even now? For the past week, we aren't seeing any beast attacks and even Lord Orion said that there won't be either." One of them complained about it. Looking at the waves, he sighed, "I want to lay on the beach and sunbathe. Huh!"
He suddenly stops and stared at the sky.
"What is that?" Upon spotting Wil and the dragon cloud, he pointed to the sky and showed it to the other guy.
The other soldier's eyes widened and cursed, "Sh*t. We need to alert others."
Both of them immediately dashed towards the village.
"What are they?" Iphi pointed to the soldiers that gathered together with their weapons.
A frown appeared on Wil. "Level-200 soldiers? At this place? And their equipment doesn't seem low-grade either. What place is this?"
More than a hundred soldiers stood uniformly.
Wil felt something's not right with this island. An appearance of a housing system and an army of more than a hundred high-level NPC soldiers. Both of them suggested that this place might be a colony of some kingdom.
But do colonies exist in this game? Yes, but not now. It was only after the third major update when the world will be expanded with the addition of new lands.
Wil slowly landed on the ground. He dismissed the cloud as Iphi stepped onto the ground.
"Who are you?" asked a soldier who was standing in the frontlines. All of them have wariness in their eyes. Clearly, they never had seen a creature that looks so weird like Wil who is in Neo hybrid form.
If not for Iphi who looked mostly like a human, they would have even thought that this was a wild beast attack.
"I want to meet your village head," Wil said to him.
