Chapter 165 - Li Ling Probably Has A Plan

Zhihao, "What... Is that...?" 

Rei didn't bother turning around as she sighed and questioned them once again, "What the hell are you doing here?" 

Behind her were two capsules filled with some sort of liquid and carefully floating inside these two capsules were naked bodies. One body per capsule to be more exact. In front of the capsule were two giant metal suits that looked to be identical to the ones worn by Zhihao and Li Ling. 

Zhihao gulped as his eyes dare not look away from the capsule. The two naked people kept inside the capsule were easy to recognize. It was Zhihao and Li Ling!

Zhihao had the urge to cover the capsule up with a cloth, but his legs dare not move from the place. 

Li Ling suddenly chuckled as he looked at the same sight, "Aiya~ You couldn't find us so you decided to create us? That's very clever, miss Rei, but I don't think you got the proportions quite right."

Rei gritted her teeth as she questioned once again, "I asked you a question, did I not...?! What the hell are you doing here?!" 

Zhihao, "Shouldn't we be the first to know what you're trying to do here?!" 

Rei glared at Zhihao, but was silent for more than a minute. 

Li Ling suddenly noticed that the atmosphere had turned tense, so he chuckled in an attempt to lift it up, but it was hopeless. 

Rei, "Please leave immediately!" 

Zhihao, "You think you can drive us out without giving us an explanation? You better think again." 

Li Ling suddenly stepped forward and stood in between the two as he smiled and looked at Rei before speaking up, "Leader, you're really nice. You brought us here and cared for us so much that you even gave us a humble sum of survival points to thoroughly enjoy ourselves. You wouldn't suddenly turn petty and drive us out, will you?" 

Rei was silent as she stared back at him. 

Only after a minute did she grit out, "Get out...!" 

Li Ling sighed as he heard this, "I knew you'd say that..." 

He turned around and hooked his hand around Zhihao's neck as he added, "A-Zhi, she's too rude. We better get going." 

Zhihao was speechless as Li Ling awkwardly pulled him away to the door that they had just used to come here. 

"What are you planning?" Zhihao whispered as his eyebrows creased together. 

Li Ling smiled brightly as he winked, but said nothing. 

When Li Ling's hand reached out for the doorknob, Zhihao suddenly saw something from the corner of his eyes and reacted immediately as he pulled Li Ling back and grabbed the thing that had been used to attack them. 

"Aa!" Zhihao couldn't help but yelp as he felt the pain crawling up his arm. 

Damn it...

He had forgotten that everything inside this T.I.A.D. sensory room could be felt. 

Li Ling's eyes had a fierce glare to them as he smiled thinly and looked at Rei, who was standing there with a big metal hand that she had used to attack them, "What are you trying to do...?" 

Rei was silent. 

The smile on Li Ling's face disappeared as he roared, "I ask you a question! What the hell are you doing?! You told us to leave and we are leaving! What more do you want?!" 

Rei smirked as she saw him shout, "Just a hit to the head. To reassure myself that you two won't remember this day." 

This time both Li Ling and Zhihao were speechless. 

What in the K-drama was this?! Hitting a person on the head doesn't lead to amnesia!! 

Did they need to make a banner for this and hang it everywhere they went?! 

"You just need to stand there and I'll hit you once," Rei spoke in the most angelic way possible, "It's nothing much. Let me hit you." 

She raised the heavy metal hand once again as she got ready to hit Zhihao on the head, but this time, Li Ling interjected and stopped her, "Stop it! If you want to hit a head, go and hit your own head!" 

Zhihao nodded as he glared at the girl and wished for God to throw some brains down here. This girl desperately needed it! God, if you can't throw a brain, a stone works too. As long as it hits the mark. 

Zhihao, "Leader Rei, we haven't gotten familiar enough to hit each other's head like this." 

Rei, "So if I get familiar with you, you'll let me?" 

Zhihao calmly took a breath in as he tried not to do God's job of throwing a stone at her head, "That's not what I meant." 

Rei was about to say something more, but suddenly someone wearing a white coat came and whispered something in her ear. As soon as she heard it, her face changed colors, from white to red to blue to white again. Her eyebrows furrowed up as she looked at Zhihao and Li Ling in silence as if she were planning their murder. 

Rei, "Did you come alone?" 

Zhihao carefully answered, "Yes. We came alone." 

Rei sighed, but it wasn't because of relief.

Nobody noticed the smile on Li Ling's face that had suddenly curved upwards and seemed to be filled with a sense of mischief as he looked outside the invisible wall only to find that there was no Leyah standing there. 

This was going to be fun. 

Rei gritted her teeth as she looked at them and suddenly ordered, "Capture them just in case." 

In the next second, a few guards approached them and locked their hands together in a handcuff. 

Initially, Zhihao was about to fight them and struggle to slip away, but Li Ling suddenly smiled and shook his head as if trying to tell him to stay calm instead of struggling fruitlessly. 

Since Li Ling, who was supposed to be the leader in this group had said it, Zhihao would naturally follow his instructions and stay quiet without any struggle. 

When the guards cuffed their hands together, Li Ling smiled brightly and even went as far as to thank them! 

Zhihao looked at Li Ling with a shocked expression. 

Li Ling, "Does A-Zhi not like being handcuffed together with me?" 

"No, that's not it," Zhihao answered as he took this opportunity to interlace their fingers together. The handcuff that was being used as an excuse to hold hands suddenly felt as if it had been both abused and misused. 

There was no way Zhihao didn't like this! He didn't know why and he was ashamed to say it out loud, but somehow, Zhihao surprisingly ended up liking being handcuffed together with Li Ling. 

Zhihao was obviously not a person who had gone to jail before this so he naturally had no idea what being handcuffed was like. It was his first time that he was in this situation and to think that Li Ling was here to experience it with him... This was definitely the wrong time to be feeling happy over such a trivial thing that didn't even completely make sense! 

"So what's the next plan?" Zhihao asked cautiously and quietly in order not to alert the guards who were dragging them to the confinement center. 

"Why are you always talking about plans? Why don't we just wing it?" Li Ling, the complete planning freak who had planned out each and every aspect of his life spoke up with an honest expression as if his own love life hadn't been planned by him. 

Zhihao, the amazing idiot who had always been blind to clues stupidly believed him as he pursed his lips and speechlessly looked at Li Ling. 

You really just wanted to be handcuffed together with me, didn't you?! 

Zhihao accused him in his mind but didn't have the guts to say it out loud in fear that he might turn out wrong and call himself out for thinking such a thing. 

Li Ling smiled brightly as he commented, "To be with you even in jail, it's my greatest honor." 

One of the guards couldn't help but side-eye them when he heard this comment. Since when did Captain Burn and Captain Liv feel such a way about each other?! 

Zhihao and Li Ling were instantly alerted in fear of OOC at such a small reaction, but it seemed that this guard didn't notice anything which meant that they were safe... At least, for now. 

Zhihao pinched Li Ling's hand, "Stop saying such a cheesy thing out loud!" 

Li Ling chuckled as he nodded in understanding, "I dare not do it again if it angers our dear A- Captain Burn." 

Li Ling was almost about to call him 'A-Zhi' once again, but in the end, he had managed to correct himself. They had been safe because the guard didn't notice it the first time, but to try a second time would only be a fool's mistake! 

Zhihao shook his head and lightly chuckled. The guard might not have noticed that small correction, but there was no way Zhihao would miss it! 

Zhihao smiled, "Captain Liv flatters me too much."

Li Ling, "I say nothing but the truth! You have me wrapped up around your fingers. Literally." 

Zhihao chuckled as he took a minute to understand what this man had said.
