Chapter 182 - Li Ling Forgets That He's Angry

Zhihao and Li Ling seemed to have a solid plan and for everyone that was observing their every move, it was quite clear what the plan was, however, for the spider ribix who was too busy trying to catch Zhihao, it wasn't really a plan it could comprehend. 

Zhihao jumped and spun around the ribix a few times. He went under its legs and the rope tied to his back thoroughly tangled itself around the Ribix. 

The spider ribix open its mouth and tried to shoot a laser beam, however, just when Zhihao saw that ball of light forming in its mouth, he was pulled up by Li Ling who took  aim at the back of the creature's head and pulled the trigger. 

The creature missed and when it tried to aim again, it could no longer see Zhihao. The creature had eight eyes, but all eight eyes were useless since it looked around frantically in search of Zhihao who was standing above it. 

Zhihao jumped down with force and immediately landed on the creature's head, thoroughly informing it just where exactly Zhihao had vanished off too. 

Li Ling smirked as he saw the creature's confusion and annoyance. He jumped down and took a shot at one of its eyes. 

The bullet was extremely strong and paired up with Li Ling's amazing aim, it was quite hard for it not to hit the mark and do the intended damage. 

One of its eyes immediately blew up and the creature fell back a step. 

The seven eyes of the creature that were still fine immediately glared at Li Ling. 

The spider opened its mouth and this time, there was no laser beam forming in its mouth. In fact, as soon as it opened its mouth, a white web was thrown at Li Ling. 

Li Ling's eyes widened slightly when he saw this, but he managed to escape on time.

At this exact moment, Zhihao looked over to see the white web hit the other Ribix instead. This white web wasn't like a spider's web. This web was poisonous, or to be more exact, this web was covered in acid. 

As soon as it came in contact with the other ribix, the metallic skin of the ribix immediately melted off. 

"What the hell?!" Zhihao cried out as he saw it, but at the same moment, he seemed to have gotten a great idea. 

"Gege!" 

Li Ling snapped his head towards Zhihao. 

"I have an idea," Zhihao beamed. 

Li Ling seemed to have already realized what that idea was so he smiled mischievously as he responded, "You want to melt them all?" 

Zhihao nodded, "You know what to do." 

Li Ling also nodded in understanding as he jumped down to the ground and aimed at the Spider ribix. 

Although this spider ribix was a part of the ribix army, there was something that made it different from the rest. 

The rest of the ribix didn't attack each other. They seemed to recognize each other as comrades, however, this spider ribix was different. 

It saw Zhihao and Li Ling as enemies because they attacked him, but it still didn't see the other ribix as comrades and hence, if they came in between, the spider ribix would still attack and not hesitate to hurt them. 

This was something that Zhihao saw as beneficial for them. 

If this spider didn't care what it was attacking, Zhihao and Li Ling could direct all its attack towards the other Ribix. 

It was a plan to use the enemy to fight off the enemy.

If it worked, their chances of winning this war were going to be strengthened. 

Li Ling took another shot at the creature and caught its attention, however, instead of flying and avoiding its attack, Li Ling ran into the war and tried to mix in with the other Ribix. 

Zhihao took this time to order out, "All Ribots! Out of here! Clear the area! Clear!" 

When Wang GuiYing heard this, he frowned as he moved back and Zhou Xinyi also listened to Zhihao. He called back all the XY Ribots and cleared a specific section of the battlefield. 

Laura and Zather looked over at Captain Burn in unison and although they were a bit confused, they could still realize that Captain Burn probably had a plan in mind and hence, they called back their army. 

When Zhihao saw the area being cleared, he smiled slightly in satisfaction. 

He held tightly onto the rope that was tangled around the creature. 

The creature opened its mouth and shot its white web at Li Ling who was running. Since he was running, the attack also followed him and all the ribix that were crowded around him got caught up in this attack. 

"It's working..." Zhihao muttered with a bit of disbelief and delight. 

The creature continued to shoot out the web till it somehow ran out of it. 

At this moment, Zhihao jumped up and with all his force, he pulled the rope. 

When the rope tightened up, the creature fell forward and hit the ground, crushing hundreds of Ribix under its weight, however, this wasn't enough to kill off this creature and both Zhihao and Li Ling were well aware of this fact. 

The creature fell down but just because its legs were all tangled up together didn't mean it was incapable of attacking them. 

It once again raised its head and aimed at Li Ling. 

Zhihao smirked as he waited for the right time. 

Li Ling simply stood there with a smirk on his face. The ribix around him immediately surrounded him with the intent to eat him alive. 

When the spider was done preparing for its laser beam attack and the light ray finally sprang out of its mouth, Zhihao activated the moon goddess spellbook and sucked Li Ling inside it. 

The horde of ribix that were crowded together now turned into melted metal as soon as the laser beam hit them. 

"That's a lot of damage!" Wang GuiYing exclaimed happily as he saw this, "Good job!" 

Laura also looked to be impressed and was forced to utter the words, "Good thinking." 

Zather only gave a small nod before he turned back to fight against the ribix who was planning on taking a large bite out of his arm. 

Zhihao immediately outstretched his hands forward and deactivated the moon goddess spellbook. 

Li Ling fell down and was caught by Zhihao who was already ready with open arms. 

Li Ling smiled as he patted Zhihao's shoulder "Good job, A-Zhi." 

For a second there, it seemed as if he had already forgotten all about his anger against Zhihao. 

Zhihao was naturally happy and his happiness caused him to forget that he needed to let Li Ling done. 

Wang GuiYing coughed loudly as he saw the two looking at each other as if they were in some sort of a BL novel. 

The spider Ribix started to struggle in order to stand up and the loud metallic clanking sound managed to snap Zhihao out of his trance. 

Li Ling chuckled as he also remembered that he was initially angry at Zhihao for jumping into the mouth of the giant earthworm ribix. 

His eyes that were forming two little crescents immediately changed as he glared at Zhihao and ordered, "Let me go!" 

Zhihao chuckled as he saw this reaction and he retreated his hand, making Li Ling fall down. 

Li Ling shook his head as he frowned and in the next second, he activated his shoes. 

It took him a few seconds to balance himself, but he was eventually able to not fall to his death. 

Zhihao couldn't help but laugh as he saw this, "You told me to let go."

Li Ling pursed his lips as he glared back at him, "So if I say 'let me go' you would listen to me?" 

Zhihao smiled thinly as he shrugged his shoulders, "Who knows? It depends." 

"..." 

"Oye! Oye! Oye!" Wang GuiYing cried out in worry and it managed to catch their attention, "That thing is standing up!" 

The rope that was tied around the spider ribix was supposed to be unbreakable but it seemed that even the rope could not handle the strength this creature used. It succumbed to the struggle and broke, letting the ribix go free. 

Zhihao felt a bit annoyed, but in the next minute, he thought about how many ribix they were able to take down. 

Just by looking at all the numbers was enough to once again lighten Zhihao's mood. 

Li Ling smiled as he turned to look at the creature, "It seems like this thing loves me too much. It wants to play more." 

Zhihao smirked as he asked, "Why don't you entertain it more?" 

Li Ling didn't say anything in response, but Zhihao was sure that it was surely his plan to thoroughly entertain this creature. 

The creature looked around in search of Zhihao or Li Ling, but it could see neither of the two who were standing above it. 

Zhihao equipped another weapon and aimed it at another one of the creature's eyes. 

Li Ling had already taken down one of the eight eyes so it was now Zhihao's turn to take another one and make those seven leftover eyes, six leftover ones.
