Never did Jade think that the first person to approach her on a Monday morning would be Cale Stuart. She felt her stomach churn by the sound of her name from his lips. She felt chills on her back when she heard him call her name as he usually did.
Jade rose up from her seat and turned to Cale who was slowly approaching her desk. Though she'd love to act like she haven't heard him, but she also knew he was still her boss, and that was a fact she couldn't change. She hasn't forgotten the fact that she was still an intern in the company. One look at at him and she could tell, he had fully returned back to work. But why was he here?
Something in her wanted to blame him for her present predicament, but she knew that was a low thing to do. She knew it wasn't right to put the blames on someone else. All this had been her own decision. She was never compelled to give herself to a random guy, she did all of that because she loved him, therefore she only had herself to blame.
Yes, she wouldn't have done what she did if Cale hadn't been in a precarious situation. But then, she might have done the same had it been her mother or brother. It had only been hurtful when Cale treated her the way he did. She was thankful he had no idea about it, because that would have been worse.
Right now, with Cale in front of her, she was beginning to have wavering thoughts about her decision to keep working in the same company as Cale and Stephanie.
"Jade?" Cale called out again when Jade looked like she was lost in thoughts. She jerked back from her trance when Cale called out her name again.
"Good morning Mr Stuart" Jade greeted indifferently, which made Cale stiffened. He knew Jade was really hurt by his actions, but he didn't think think she'd go as far as being too formal with him. She had just called him Mr Stuart...and that felt really sad.
He stared at her in silence, as he began having second thoughts about saying what had actually brought him over.
Jade stared at him uncomfortably as he continued staring at her without saying a word. She really didn't have the time for all this. If he had something to say, which obviously she expected to be work related, then he should hurry up and say it, because she'd love to return back to her desk.
"What can I do for you?" Jade asked when it was obvious he wasn't ready to state his reasons for being there at the moment.
"Can...can we talk somewhere private?" Cale asked her anxiously. Though he knew what he was about to say could be viewed as shameless, but right now he really had no choice.
"I can't. I have work to do" Jade said with a serious face. She didn't think Cale still had the right to talk to her privately, since there was nothing left to talk about between them. She'd only listen to him if it had something to do with the company, but that also excluded doing favours for him as she stupidily used to.
Well she didn't think he'd be shameless enough to still ask her for such favours right?
She was about returning to her seat when she felt someone's grip on her forearm. She lowered her eyes to see Cale's hand on her forearm. Cale followed her gaze and he slowly withdrew his hand.
"Jade please let's just talk outside" He said with pleading eyes. Jade stared at silently for a few seconds before saying, "Okay."
Cale's lips slightly parted as he revealed a small smile on his face. "Thank you" He said, before leading the way to the emergency exit, since that was the best place he knew they could have some privacy to talk.

Amy was having a hard time focusing on her job. Her team had been given a deadline in developing the new software. And of course the CEO would be coming to the development department this morning, and they still had a couple of codes to run before he shows up. But she hasn't been able to work since the thoughts of what happened last night kept running through her mind.
She was torn between confronting Blake and just letting things be. Maybe she should try her best to stop liking him. Asking him why he acted the way he did could reveal that she liked him, and that she was very much affected by his actions last night.
Sincerely, she really wanted to know why he had invited her, if he knew he was just going to ignore her and make her feel so little and unimportant. Somehow, she still didn't want to believe that Blake could act like, or turn out to be a snob. She really wanted to convince herself that Blake was way better than that.
"Hello beautiful" Amy snapped back to reality when she heard that smooth and ear tingling voice, that she liked so much. She raised up her gaze to see Blake flashing a smile at her, revealing those cute dimples. She felt her lips twitch, and her heart skipped a beat at the sight of him. She was struggling to keep a straight face at him, when all she wanted was to smile back at him.
One look at him and all her pent up anger had almost completely dissappeared.
"Good morning sir" Amy greeted with a straight face, but with much difficulty. She could see the eyes of her colleagues fixed on Blake as he kept smiling at her.
"Good morning to you too" He replied with a smile still hung on his face.
"Sorry I missed out on talking to you and Lair last night. So Lair is your brother?" He asked as he took a seat in front of her desk. Amy frowned slightly as she heard his words.
So he had come to talk to her because of Lair?! He really was a big time snob just as she had thought.
