"Then what if I want your shares?" Hillary suddenly asked. Her eyes staring straight at the men with so much audacity.
The major shareholder rupt out in laughter. While the others chuckled and cackled amusedly. They looked at Hillary like she was making a funny joke.
"I have to give it you. You're brave woman but you're also sick" He said, every form of amusement leaving his eyes as he narrowed his gaze at Hillary but she was unfazed.
"You shouldn't have wasted our time, if you had nothing to say" Another of the men said, his face was also serious.
"Sorry gentlemen it seems that you were all mistaken" Hillary said, her smile widen, reavealing her white set of teeths. She leaned back on her chair crossed her legs before snapping her fingers. And immediately Shirley walked into the room, she has been standing outside the room just waiting by the door.
"Give them my surprise" She ordered, a smirk appearing on her face.
"Gentlemen the thing is, I wasn't asking, I was just being polite by trying to ask. I would love you to open the documents right in front of you" She said strecthing her hand as a gesture for them to go ahead.
"Come on boys It won't bite" She said in a sultry manner, her lips twitched when she saw the hesitation in their eyes, except the major shareholder of course, who took the initiative to open the file first while the others followed suit.
Their eyes popped and their hands began to shake when they saw the informations written in the documents. It was a well detailed report of their illicit act over the years.
Their eyes simultaneously darted towards Hillary who was smiling amusedly at their reactions, this was what she has been looking forward to. The look of fear, Yes they should be afraid of her, and alsi know she was not someone they could trifle or mess with.
"I know right. You boys have been bad boys" Hillary teased before letting out a sinister laugh.
"What do you want?" The major shareholder asked, the others were too stunned to speak up at the moment. They had no idea their dirty deals would be found out by Hillary.
"Well let's just say, I need a tiny little favour from your guys. 50% of yours shares..."
"What?" They all echoed at same time interrupting her.
She pouted and glanced at Shirley, "That's a small amount right? Hope I'm being considerate?" She asked with an innocent tone, that one would think she was only asking for a candy.
"Of course" Shirley replied, making Hillary smile broadly.
"You see." She turned back to look at the men, "And I want the CEO's seat by the next board meeting. So what do you say boys" She added looking at them expectantly. Hillary's was surprised when she heard someone chuckle and clap his hands in front of her, of course it was the only fox among them. She cocked her brows at him, as she waited for him to say something.
"Nicely done. I see you did your home work well, but I'd like to inform you that we wouldn't get this far if we buckled to every useless threat that came from people like you. So the next time you want to practice your acting skills don't get me involved. So stop this nonsense! " The man warned menancingly, his tone was deadpan and his eyes were throwing daggers at the woman who was unfazed by his expression, while he rose to his feet to leave.
Hillary rose up to her feet as well. "One thing you should know is, I don't make threats and I also don't need your help to rehearse my roles. But I'd like you to look through those files again. I wonder what would happen when I send those files to my step son and to the federal bureau. Tsk Tsk, that would be bad, I don't want to imagine it. So don't be in a rush and think carefully. You have till the next board meeting to make your final decisions" She picked up her bag and gave the men one last look.
"Good day boys" She said in a singsong manner, as she made her way out of the room, with Shirley tagging behind.
The shareholders were dumbstruck by the turnout of event. When they accepted her invitation they had no idea things would pan out like this.
"What do we do?" One of the men asked, looking at man who was standing with his fist clenched tightly, his veins bulging with anger.
"The only thing we can do. Save ourselves" He uttered in a cold tone, he picked up the file on the table and stormed out of the room.
They have underestimated Hillary. That woman was highly dangerous.

"Hillary, do you think they'll agree to your demands?" Shirley asked out of curiosity as they stepped into the car.
"This is a game of chess. They know better to than to make a wrong move. One wrong move from them, and there will be down just with a full swoop. And I have insurance over them for that"
"But why did you ask for their shares and not just Jake's position?" Shirley asked again. She remembered Hillary's initial intentions was to get the shareholders to remove Jake from the company.
"Well my darling, you can't be in total control when you don't have enough power, and in this case those shares would grant me what I need. Power" She said.
"But.."
"Enough, Tsk...don't be too curious to know everything. I have always told you, curiosity kills the cat, so be careful" She said patting in Shirley on the head.
"What I need now is to know what those brothers are up to, most especially that debaucherous one who sows his seed everywhere. I don't want any mini Beaus springing forth, so it's high time we keep an eye on them." She said

Amy would rather be anywhere else than be at work, she had alot going on and she could barely focus on her job. Amy stared into space as she thought about the outcome of the ongoing search for Michael, it didn't look too good, and that worried her. Her heart has been so troubled since she found out what her mother has done to her ex- boyfriend.
Speaking about her mother, she had not seen her since the night they had a heated argument, she has been in her room hiding away from the world. The fourty-eight hours she had given to her has not been exhausted, but Amy felt like it has been up to a year. She couldn't wait anymore.
Amy was still lost in thought when the intercom buzzed snapping her out of her thoughts. She sighed deeply before picked up the receiver.
"Hello, Miss Walker, there's someone here to see you" The receptionist said over the phone.
"Who is it?"
"Ethan Hills" The receptionist answered, her cheeks burning up as she called the name of the superstar.
"Tell him, I'll be there shortly" Amy said before hanging up. She had completely forgotten about her appointment to meet up the private investigator which Ethan had suggested they meet.
She gathered her stuffs into her bag, it was supposed to be her lunch break, but she'd rather spend her it looking for ways to find Michael. Finding him was the only way she'd finally get the peace she has lost this last two days.
Amy had only strolled out of her office when she slightly bumped into someone.
"Easy there beautiful" Blake stretched his hand to hold her steady, when she stumbled back.
"Sorry" Amy apologized as she steadied herself. "I'm sorry"
"It's okay. Going for lunch?" Blake asked with a smile. He suddenly realized he hasn't seen her since the night that...well you know. It wouldn't be a bad idea if he had lunch with her.
"No. I'm heading out to see someone" Amy replied absentmindedly. She wasn't in a mood to talk to Blake at the moment and not to mention the awkwardness she was still feeling since his rejection, she still hasn't gotten over that.
"Amy!" Someone's voice called gaining Amy and Blake's attention. They both spotted Ethan alighting from the elevator with a smile that could shame the sun.
"Ethan? I thought I asked..." Amy tried saying but Ethan cut in.
"I know, I know. I wanted to take a tour of your office, so I asked the lovely receptionist to let me up" Ethan said as she approached her. He turned to look at Blake who was giving him a scrutinizing look. "Hello" He greeted.
"Hello. I'm Blake" Blake greeted back, offering his hand for a shake.
"Ethan, nice to meet you"
Amy cringed in her head for not introducing them. "I'm so sorry. Ethan meet my boss" She said to Ethan, "And Mr Blake meet my friend" she said avoiding his gaze.
Blake narrowed his brows when Amy addressed him as 'Mr Blake' He thought they were past that.
"So princess can I see your office now?" Ethan turned to Amy with a bright smile.
"No, maybe next time" She replied, before turning to Blake.
"I'll see you around later. We have an appointment to keep, so we'll take our leave" Amy said to him, while he nodded.
"Okay, I'll see you around then" He said and looked at Ethan, "It was nice meeting you"
"Same here" Ethan replied with a smile, before turning to Amy as he helped her with her bag. "Come on let's go" He said.
Blake watched as they both walked into the elevator. He noticed the indifferent way at which Amy had spoken to him.
It seems something was wrong with her. 'Or was she trying to avoid him?' Blake thought to himself.
"Who was that?" Ethan asked as soon as they walked into the elevator.
"Who?" Amy asked not sure if he was talking about Blake. Well who else would he be talking about?
"That guy, your boss" Ethan said.
"Well you already said it. He's my boss"
"Just that?" Ethan asked doubtfully.
"And a friend too" Amy replied. She wasn't interested in any question and answer session. She was physically, emotionally and mentally drained..
"Oh i see" Ethan said.
"And what do you see?" Amy asked cocking a brow at him.
"Nothing, I was just wondering why the crazy and hard core Amy Walker would be acting that way with a guy" Ethan pointed out.
"What do you mean? How was I acting?" Amy narrowed her brows at him.
"For starters, you keep avoiding his gaze. What's with that?" He raised a brow at her.
Amy bit her lip as she looked away. "I asked him out and he rejected me, end of story" Amy said in a low tone.
"Woah..."
"Just shut up and focus your mind on meeting the investigator" Amy snapped at him.
"No need to be angry, I just think he might like you" Ethan told her.
"Tch..that's impossible.. He doesn't like me and he has made it quite clear."
