At the Concert
Jade and Amy, were both having the best time of their lives, as they listened to Ethan perform on stage. It was so magical, and see the thousands of people who had actually come to watch him perform live, Amy couldn't be more proud of him. He had done well for himself in such a short period of time. The whole auditorium was dark except for the flash lights of the thousands of phones that were on all over the auditorium, giving it a starry ovation, while Ethan sang, 'I still love you'
"Are you crying?" Amy asked when she heard sniffling noises coming from Jade.
Bobbing her head up and down, Jade replied, "Yes. I just love this song, and last night Jake and I danced to it. It was so romantic I didn't want it to end. It's so sad i won't get to hear such songs from Ethan again" She said, sobbing softly.
Amy looked at Jade in disbelief as she shook her head, "You never cease to amaze, Jade Peterson"
"It's not my fault, he's such a good singer. He makes me emotional with his songs" Jade sniffled as she wiped her tears with the tissue Amy passed to her.
"Okay, just stop crying. I agree he's good but you can't cry for another man. I wonder what your boyfriend will say when he hears this" Amy patted her, while Jade glared at her.
"Just shut up" She eyes her.
"Tch, what a cry baby" Amy teased.
They both watched all Ethan's performance, and Jade couldn't help but feel sad that Ethan would be taking a walk from the music industry. He was too good. He had produced some really good music.
Soon Jade excused herself to use the restroom, she has been so pressed for a while now and she couldn't bear it any longer.
"Should I come with you?" Amy asked.
"No, I'll be back soon. Just stay here and wait for me" Jade told her. She didn't see the need of Amy accompanying her to the restroom. She wasn't going to go missing. Thanks to the special tickets Ethan had given them, they weren't among the huge crowd of people. They had been given a spot which was so close to the stage and a only a very few number of people were there.
Had they been among the huge crowd, Jade was sure she would have had to release herself on the spot, but now it was so much easier. Perks of knowing a celebrity! Hehehe.
"Okay be quick" Amy said.
"Sure I will" Jade replied before walking towards the nearest exit door. She asked around and she was directed to the ladies room down the walkway. Jade was surprised when she saw a line of people waiting to carry out their business.
She closed her eyes frustratedly at the long line. She made a head count and she almost passed out.
'Fifteen??! Fifteen people before she uses the restroom. How perfect!'
Jade waited impatiently for her turn. Each second felt like an hour and she was about to pee on herself when her turn finally came.
"Ahh" She moaned out in relief as she eased off the load from her bladder. She had never felt better.
When Jade stepped out of the bathroom, she was surprised to find the queue which had been there before, gone.
"What happened?" She asked herself as she looked around, but there was no one there. That's strange. There was a long line of girls waiting out here minutes ago.
Jade quickly shrugged it off, and made her way back to the auditorium. She didn't want to take longer than expected so Amy wouldn't worry and come looking for her.
She hadn't taken more than ten steps when she heard someone call her name, "Jade"
She paused when she heard that. She looked behind her but there was no one.
"That's weird" She said to herself.
Jade turned to look ahead and continue on her strides back to the auditorium, when someone suddenly appeared right in front of her.
"Hello sweetheart" He said with a creepy smile.
....
Back at the auditorium
Amy looked at the time for the third time, it's been more than twenty minutes since Jade left for the restroom and she was yet to return.
'Why was she was taking too long?' She asked herself. Amy turned towards the exit door which Jade had used to see if she was coming back already but she wasn't
Amy was about to look away when her eyes caught sight of something familiar, or rather someone familiar.
'She wasn't seeing things right?'
Her heart skipped beat when she saw that familiar face. She blinked her eyes just to be sure it wasn't her imagination but when she opened it again, but there was no one there.
Amy immediately turned around to look for who she had seen.
She wasn't imagining things right? She had just seen....No way!
Her eyes darted back and forth as she looked around in a desperate search. Her heart racing so fast and anxiety was growing inside her heart. Amy looked around her but there was still no sign of that person. It was almost as if she had imagined it.
She turned to look back at the door and her eyes caught sight of someone walking out of the door, the person's head was lowered and a hood was covering the side view. Without hesitation, Amy followed suit. She couldn't help but take note of the familiar gait. Even the posture was the same.
She hastened her steps and hurried out as she tried to catch up. But the moment she stepped out of the door, she was surprised to find an empty hall. She looked at both sides of the hallway, but that there's was no one there. It was empty. Amy's heart was racing fast. She was sure she had seen that face. She ran her hand through her hair frustratedly. She had seen well right? She wasn't imagining things? That was him. She had seen him.
Amy was confused.
She looked around again but she paused when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She didn't know why, but her heart suddenly began to race faster and louder than it did seconds ago.
In slow motion Amy turned around and the moment her eyes saw the person standing in front of her, her heart almost stopped. She turned stiff as she stared at the person unblinkingly with widened eyes. She couldn't believe it.
With quavering lips, and with an almost inaudible voice, She called out, "Mi....Mi...cheal?"
