Jade stirred up from sleep, her eyes slowly fluttered open but her vision was hazy. She could hear slight movements but she couldn't make out what exactly was making that noise. She tried to make sense of her environment but she could barely see anything as the place was dark, the only light in the room was faint and it was coming from something that seemed like a broken lamp or something. She tried to move but she suddenly felt a pound in her head making her wince. She realized she was lying on a concrete floor and it was really cold. Realizing the cold and hard floor her brain joggled up. She jerked up despite the pain she was feeling. Luckily for her, she wasn't tied up.
'Where was she?' She asked herself. She tried to stand to her feet but her legs wobbled and she fell back to the floor.
'Where the hell was this place? And why was it so dark?' Jade could feel fear slowly crawling into her heart. She tried to remember how she had gotten there, but her memory seemed foggy. Even her body was heavy. Has she been drugged? She asked her in trepidation. That should be the case, as she heard felt too heavy, she couldn't even think which her head hurting so severely, then there was also her body which felt very heavy.
Jade looked around again but she still couldn't make sense of where she was. She looked at the lamp from the side which was doing nothing at illuminating the room. How useless! She cussed.
"Hello, is someone there?" She called out.
"Hello!" Jade called again, but then there was no response. She could hear her voice echoing and that meant it must be an empty room.
Jade placed her ear to the ground if she could hear anything, maybe moving vehicles, anything that will tell her where she was but there was nothing.
She stretched her hand to the side to reach for the wall, but her hand met nothing but air. Seems she was in the middle of the room if only she could crawl to the side, and that was exactly what she did. She dragged her limp body to what seemed like her left side but she had only moved a little bit she felt something pierce her hand.
"Ahhh" She yelped in pain. She had placed her wrist on something and it had pierced her hand. A tear rolled down her cheek at the pain surging through her hand. She used her left hand to reach for it and she felt something sticky running down her hand. It was blood and it was dripping fast.
She reached for the place where she felt the pain and touched something like a nail, it was stuck in her hand. She bit her lips hardly as she pulled it out, making her cry out in pain. She felt it in her hand and it was indeed a nail, it was small, probably half an inch in size but the tip felt sharp almost as if it was new.
Jade bit her lips as she tried to forget the pain and continued crawling to the side. Few more drags and there she felt another wave of pain shoot through her body. She had been pierced by another nail but this time not on her hand but her thigh. Did someone do this to her on purpose to prevent her from escaping?
She reached for her thighs to reach for the nail. Jade cried at the pain. She wept her hand on the floor around her and she was shocked to feel even more nails around her.
What was this?
Jade decided not to move again. She sat still and endure her pain. She tried to remember who had brought her there, she remembered telling Amy she was going to the restroom to ease herself and she had just done just that. She was heading back when she heard someone call her name, and when she had looked around she couldn't find anybody.
Jade winced when her head suddenly banged as she tried to force herself to remember. But she couldn't stop now. She had to remember.
Jade closed her eyes as she continued to force her memory.
When she blew didn't see anybody she turned around to head back to Amy but that was when she had seen someone standing in front of her with a janitor uniform.
Jade gasped when she realized who had done this. It was that stupid bastard!
And just as Jade remembered, she heard the door open from the outside and she saw someone standing there. She was sure he was the one.
He flicked the lights on and Jade closed her eyes at the abrupt assault of the light. She opened her eyes back to look at him and he was standing at the door with a fake concerned expression as he looked at the blood on the ground.
"Cale you bastard!!" Jade roared in anger the veins in her head almost bulging out. He gazed at her angry face and he revealed an eery smile.
"Miss me? Hope you had a sound sleep?" He asked as he strolled into the room, he had two polythene bags in his hand.
"You kidnapped me? How dare you kidnap me? Why did you kidnap me?" She asked lividly. Cale ignored her rant, he dropped the bad on the floor slowly walked to where she was sitting down. Jade felt fear crawl into her as she moved backwards.
"Stop moving there are nails all around you. I thought I'd come to see you covered with nails poking all over your body, but like always you're still too smart" He crouched down and scooped her up.
"Put me down, you bastard! Put me down this instant" She drawled put he ignored and placed her on the other side of the room, more precisely on a foam.
He looked at her hand then her thigh which was injured and he hissed, "You shouldn't have moved" He said as he walked back to pick the polythene bags he had dropped on the floor.
"Why did you kidnap me? Why did you bring me here?" She demanded.
Cale looked at her and smiled, "Because this where you belong, with me"
