8 Too much of a coincidence

The tension in the room was suffocating. A beautiful, silver haired girl glared at a handsome, dark haired boy. The boy had a creepy smile on his face as he looked at the girl.

"Cat got your tongue?" Sneers Yi Lan rubbing her nose.

"I don't think so." replies the boy in a cool voice.

"Then do you need an invitation to speak?! Tell me where I am." she speaks in a demanding tone.

A vein bulges in the Prince's head. Never in his eighteen years of life, had someone talked so rudely to him.

"This kingdom is called White Leopard kingdom. I am the Crown Prince. My name is Che Ling. You can call me Your Highness."

"What world?"

"Pardon?"

"What world is this? Is it Earth?"

"Earth? No, this world is called Plutarch." A somewhat curious look flits on his face as he wonders what kind of a world this 'Earth' was.

"Damn." curses Yi Lan silently.

"Che Ling, bring me a mirror." she demands.

Che Ling's eyes become dark in anger. Didn't he just tell her to call him Your Highness?! He calmed himself down. After all, this girl was a reincarnated one. She wasn't the Yi Meng from before. Sullenly, he walks to a drawer and pulls out a mirror from it.

He hands it over to Yi Lan, who was a bit hesitant to take it. With one eye closed, she peeps at her image, only to find something shocking.

"Wha-? I look almost the same as before."She touches her face, examining each part." Only my hair is now silver in colour, instead of blonde."

She frowns. 'Isn't this too much of a coincidence.'

She places the mirror down and stares off into empty space.

A few minutes later, she was dragged into reality by an annoying person. "What do you want?"

"I forgot to mention that this world uses the concept of Qi."

"Qi? As in soul energy Qi?" Yi Lan furrows her eyebrows on the mention of the familiar term. She had watched a lot of movies, that talked about Qi and stuff, One of her favourites being Kung Fu Panda.

"You know about it?"

"I am barely familiar with it. So, how did the previous owner practice Qi?" Yi Lan asks, a little excited at the thought of fighting with Qi. Her dreams as a child of being a kung fu master may finally come true.

"You didn't. I mean, she didn't. More like, she couldn't." The Prince was already tired of this girl and jusy wanted her to disappear.

"Why?"

"When we reach thirteen years of age, we are tested to see what level our Qi and physical strength is. On your chance, it was found that you were unable to retain Qi in your body."

"You mean that I have Qi and stuff, but I'm unable to use it!? What kind of dog poop is that?" cursed Yi Lan, her dreams of being a kung fu master shattered.

"It is what it is."

"What about my parents?" Yi Lan finally asks the question she wanted to ask the most.

Che Ling hesitated a bit, before a look of pity appeared on his face. "They passed away when you were ten."

"Wipe that look off your face. I don't need pity, especially from jerks like you. That's right, what's this about me being your wife??"

He sighs. "It's not my wish, that's for sure. Your father and mine, were good friends and when you were born, my father promised that he would give he would take you as my wife. That was when you were ten. That year, your parents died in an accident. My father still plans to carry out the marriage. It was supposed to be today, but you were found dead in the forests."

"How did the previous owner die?"

"A group of bandits attacked her. She had escaped from palace grounds at night and was caught by these bandits. They haven't been caught yet." He replies in a solemn manner. He regrets that Yi Meng died. Now he was going to suffer mental torture from this girl.

"A group of bandits?" Yi Lan raises her eyebrow. She felt there was something more to the matter than it appeared. Even if it was so, she would take care of the people who murdered the previous owner. This was the least Yi Lan could do for the previous owner.

"Cancel the marriage." She says.

Che Ling laughs at the absurd words of Yi Lan. "That's easier said than done. You think father will step back from his words?"

She rolls her eyes. "You think I care. Just give him a reason that you made someone pregnant or something."

"Even if I said that, he would insist to take you as a concubine."

"Concubine? Oh man! Is this world so behind in such matters?!" She then gasps as she remembers something important. "Is there a television here? Or maybe a smartphone? Laptop?"

He only shakes his head.

"No way! What about popcorn? Chocolate? Burger? Pizza? Coke? ICE CREAM!? Nooooo... My life is over." She cries out dramatically.

Che Ling watches the girl with incredulous eyes.

"Get out. Let me wallow in self-pity. How will I watch BL now?? I couldn't even complete 'Summer Love'! Yaoi my paradise! It's all gone." Yi Lan cries aloud.

She starts rolling in the bed.

Che Ling had enough and left the room-his room to be more precise and rubbed his forehead in worry. "Is this the so called karma? If so, then God you really know how to punish people."

He shakes his head and goes in search of his father.

Back in the room, Yi Lan drools in her imagination of watching BL with popcorn dipped in chocolate and sipping Coke.

"Come backkk...My Iphone!! Mama need you so much..."

After a few minutes, she sobers up and lies on the bed staring at the ceiling. "I really am reincarnated huh?"

"What to do now? I wonder how Big Brother and sis are doing now. Do they miss me?"

"Ugh.. Stop thinking about them Yi Lan."

"The jerk said I was killed by bandits. I find that hard to believe. I guess, first I have find the truth about who killed me. But would anyone even believe me? Hah. This is like the typical cliché transmigration story. I'm currently a low grade trash. Man! How did this girl Yi Meng survive?"

She becomes quiet for a few minutes before saying.

" Don't worry. I'll let your soul rest in peace. I'll take care of all those dogs who tried to kill you." A dark look shows on Yi Lan's face. Her eyes glower dangerously and a blood thirsty look appears.

"Oh, I'll take care of them alright. I'll carve marks in their body so nicely that they'll cry tears of blood. But I won't stop. I won't stop until I finish all of those who laid a hand on you. I'll see who tries to mess my life. Yi Meng might have been forgiving but Yi Lan certainly isn't. Ke. Ke ke. Ke ke ke ke ke ke*cough cough *" Yi Lan's evil laughter stops when she starts choking due to improper flow of oxygen.

A maid who had been passing by the room, was scared out of her wits so badly by hearing the laughter that she wet herself.
