264 I Didn't Expect To See You Ever!

Wei Xin immediately walked over to them and before she could say anything, Song Jia spoke first. "I want you to clear my schedule for the day and come with me. We are leaving."

"Alright." Wei Xin immediately grabbed her iPad and her phone before she followed after Song Jia. In the parking lot, Wu Zihao got into his car, while Song Jia and Wei Xin got into Song Jia's, and both the cars sped out of the premises of the building.

"Follow his car." Song Jia instructed the driver.

"Where are we going?" Wei Xin asked from the passenger seat after she had pushed Song Jia's schedule to a later date.

"To find out about Wu Zhang." Song Jia answered from the back seat and turned her head to look out of the window to calm her mind. She had been very anxious since last night when Wei Xin told her about Li Jing and how gravely he was injured. From the looks of it, they were attacked and it was not some rocket science to understand that the attack was meant for Wu Zhang. Therefore when she heard about Li Jing's condition she couldn't help panicking and wondering about what state Wu Zhang would be in, when Li Jing's life was hanging by a thread.

After a drive of over an hour, Wu Zihao's car entered a quiet and fancy suburban area. It stopped opposite a decent looking apartment building and Song Jia's car soon followed. The guards at the door, when they saw the car with the Wu's nameplate, he let them pass.

The three people stepped out of their respective cars and started walking towards the entrance of the building. Wei Xin who was looking around the surroundings noticed the name of the building, 'Skylight apartments', and her brows furrowed. The name of this building sounded familiar to her for some reason, despite the fact that she had never explored this part of the city. While following Wu Zihao, she tried to remember where she had heard the name, but could not think of anything, therefore she decided to just shrug off the thought.

Once they were inside the lobby, Wu Zihao who was familiar with the place, called the elevator and pushed the button for the twelfth floor, which was also the topmost floor of the building. There were three flats on the floor and they walked to the one the rightmost corner. Wu Zihao pushed the doorbell urgently as if he could not wait for even a minute extra. After waiting for about two minutes, the door opened and along with that, Wei Xin's jaw dropped too.

"You?"

"What are you doing here?" The woman who had opened the door also looked equally surprised as Wei Xin did.

"You know her?" Song Jia turned to ask Wei Xin.

Wei Xin and Shelby both looked at each other skeptically and after Wei Xin was done sizing her up, she scoffed. "Of course I know her." She then turned to Wu Zihao and asked him, "Why have you brought us here?"

"What is goin—" Fredrick who came to the door after hearing the commotion, his eyes fell on Wei Xin and the lazy look in his eyes immediately disappeared. His lips curled upwards with an amused expression on his face and he said in a sing-song voice, "I didn't expect to see you here."

"I didn't expect to see you ever!" Wei Xin snapped. She then immediately turned to Wu Zihao and demanded an answer from him. "Why are we here Wu Zihao?"

Wu Zihao who had no idea what was going on between Wei Xin and Fredrick, looked at her and said, "He is the person that will help us locate my brother."

"He? He is a fraud, Wu Zihao! The most he can do is, that he can fool us and mint out some money." Wu Zihao could not help frowning at her words.

"I think we should go inside first and then we can discuss whatever problems we have here." Song Jia who had been watching the ruckus until now stepped in and everyone except Wei Xin agreed, without objection. Song Jia glanced at the reluctant girl and tugged her at her elbow to pull her inside along with her.

Once everyone got settled in the small living room, Song Jia took the initiative to ask. "Wei Xin what is going on?"

"Xiao Jia this guy here is a liar. Don't trust him!" Wei Xin said pointing her chin toward Fredrick, who was leaning against a wall, with his hands crossed in front.

"What made you think so?" Wu Zihao chimed in this time. He trusted Fredrick a lot, and to hear such accusations against him; he definitely wanted to know the reason behind it.

"Think? I am not accusing him on the basis of what I think. I have genuine reasons."

"Care to share?"

Wei Xin turned her attention to Song Jia. "Remember that time when Wu Zhang's drink was spiked?"

Song Jia nodded her head in affirmation and Wei Xin continued. "I hired him to find out the culprit, and you must be remembering who it was, right?"

"Zhang told me it was Fei Yan." Song Jia immediately answered.

"Right." Wei Xin nodded. "And you know what his name is?"

"It's Fredrick." Wu Zihao answered this time.

"And that exactly is where you are wrong!" Wei Xin said snapping her fingers and then pointing her index finger in Wu Zihao's direction. "His real name is Fei Rong."

Before Song Jia could grasp what was going on, Wei Xin spoke further. "And do you know what does that means Song Jia? It means that—"

"—that they are related." Song Jia finished the rest of the sentence for her.

"Exactly, Fei Yan is his sister and he is a fraudster."
