270 Get Into The Black Sedan

Feeling annoyed after a few minutes, she swiped on the screen to answer it before putting it on the speaker and asked in an irritated manner, " Who is this?"

"Ah, so rude of you, tch!" Came a heavy manly voice from the other end which made Song Jia frown. The seemed to be fake, as if it was a processed voice.

"Who is this?" She asked again, getting short of patience.

"Well, since you are not interested in pleasantries, I won't bother with it either. But I thought it would be fun to—"

"Well, I am afraid that I am in a slight rush and can't spare so much time to listen to your crap right now. If you have anything worth talking, so speak or otherwise I am hanging up, so you can scram." For some unknown reason, this caller was giving her a strange ominous feeling in her guts and she could not help but feel slightly suffocated in her heart. Hence she just wanted to hang up as quickly as possible because she wanted to focus on finding Wu Zhang right now.

The person on the other end chuckled in sarcasm. "Well, I can assure you, that you won't find anything more important than this right now. I have sent you something on your phone, check it out or you will lose him."

Lose him?

What did the person mean by that?

Song Jia who was about to hang up the phone, froze for a brief moment on hearing the last part.

Him? There was no other 'him' that she had to worry about right now... except Wu Zhang. Could it be...?

Song Jia snapped back to her senses, quickly stopped the car at a side of the road and with trembling hands, picked up her phone, and saw a message notification on top. She pressed it open to find out that it was a picture. As soon as she zoomed it to see clearly, her mind went blank, jaws dropped open and her body lost all strength. The phone slid down from her hands with a soft thud near the gas pedal and she continued staring at the blank space in front of her.

Before she could even properly come to terms with what was happening, her phone rang again. She realized she had accidentally hung up the last call. With its ringing getting more and more urgent, she bent down immediately to retrieve her phone from near the gas pedal and answered the call hurriedly, putting it on speaker again.

The person on the other hand however seemed to be in no hurry, as they lazily snickered. "I see the rushed attitude is gone now, ha?"

Song Jia's fingers on the phone clutched tightly, as she took a deep breath to calm herself, which wasn't really of much help though. She suppressed her anxiety and enunciated each word with a lot of pressure, "Who are you and what do you want?"

"You may find out soon if you follow my instructions."

"Tell me."

"A man in a blue jacket is standing next to your car right now and there is a black Sedan parked behind you. He can see you as we talk, so without wasting any more time, get off of your car and go and sit in his car. "

It was only now that Song Jia noticed that someone was standing next to her car. She had no idea since when had the person been standing there.

"But how is— hello?" Without waiting for Song Jia to reply, the person on the other end hung up the phone.

Song Jia looked at the phone frustratedly and before she could think of anything, the burly man standing outside knocked on her window impatiently. She rolled down the glass and the person bent down to poke his head inside, "Hurry up and don't try to act smart. Leave all your belongings behind." After saying that, he stood straight again.

Song Jia didn't waste any time and bent forward as if trying to itch her leg with one hand, while her other hand slid inside her bag. She tapped a few times here and there finally found out what she was looking for. She immediately pulled her hand out and reached with that hand to itch her other leg too. The man standing outside couldn't really see what she was doing because of his height so he slapped the door again, asking her to hurry.

Song Jia opened the door and climbed out to walk towards the other car when the man's voice stopped her. "Give me your phone."

Song Jia walked back to her car, opened the door, and took out her phone. She quietly handed it over to him before locking the car again.

"Unlock it." He ordered in his gruff voice.

She took the phone from him, obediently unlocked it and handed it back to him. The man tapped on her phone a few times and opened her recent tab, where he saw that she had forwarded the picture that was sent to her to Wu Zihao.

"Bitch! I told you to not play smart! " He snapped and just as he was about to slap her, her phone rang. He stopped midway and looked down at the phone in his hands. It was from Wu Zihao. He disconnected the call and threw it on the ground, before smashing it under her feet.

He then pulled her closer to check her body for any hidden item. After checking her shoulders, back, arms and waist, just as when his hands neared her bosom, even before he could place them on her chest, she swatted his hand away. "What are you doing?! There is nothing on my body." With that said, she turned around and walked towards the black sedan to sit in the back seat.

The man didn't pester to it anymore either and followed her. Before she could climb in, he held her by her elbow and smacked at the back of her neck, with the side of his palm roughly. Song Jia immediately lost her consciousness with the blow and her legs gave up. The man reached out immediately and held her body in his arms before she could fall down on the ground. He then picked her up without exerting any energy and  took her to the back of the car, where he threw her into the trunk and drove off.
