Instead of shouting over the entire mass of the people, the princess said some words to the people that appeared beside her as soon as she waved her hand. In just a few moments, the clog that appeared when the locals that managed to escape to their ancestral grounds started looking for their missing relatives was dissolved, with only a few warriors somehow managing to infuse order in this chaotic mess!

Using the opportunity where the former slaves actually formed up and started moving towards the beach, the princess approached me and reported the progress of the work. But while she had a small grin of pride when she mentioned who was making the boats, I could feel my heart already tightening.

Those canopies were designed so that even mentally challenged could both make and operate them! If only skilled craftsmen were busy with actually working, how many boats would they manage to finish by now, especially with how their job experience and bias would most likely force them to seek quality instead of quantity?

"Just tell me… How many boats did you guys make so far?"

There wasn't any point in getting angry at her or the craftsmen. If they couldn't handle the workload, then everything would just go way slower, risking that impatient Overlord would go to look for the fight instead of just staying put and waiting for the invasion. If such a thing would happen, I would have no other choice but to abandon those who didn't make it to my island and go eradicate them!

With how I claimed that my fight would turn this island uninhabitable, anyone who would be left behind would have to be buried here! I couldn't risk anyone witnessing the true scale of my strength and how it didn't really do any harm to this piece of land!

"Seventy-eight."

Grabbing my arm, the princess hugged it, wrapping her entire body around it and lowering her head, as if only now realising how little it was.

But seriously, seventy-eight? After all this time? Did they have like one axe in their entire clan?

"Eh… Getting angry won't change anything. Show me how you guys are making those canopies.."

At first, I wanted to free my arm from her embrace, but when she held to it strong enough for her entire body to be flung around instead of simply letting go of my arm, I gave up on the idea. I had some clues why did she want to appear as close to me as she did, but there was simply no point in confronting her about it!

And it was truly impressive.

With how everyone was stuck close to each other in the ancestral grounds, it made me unable to properly estimate their real number, but with how they were properly spread out in a huge area right now, I could finally gauge how many people I had to bring across the water to let them enjoy the life in my subdimension while reaching the benefits on poaching their energy into the core.

But just like having them all under my rule in my small world would be nice… Using less than a fucking hundred canopies to haul over three thousand souls across the sea? I might be strong, awesome and flawless in this world, but there were still some limits to my abilities!

Just like some people said that there is sometimes quantity can defeat quality, I would offer my prayer right not to just go on a sea trip with a group of ten badass people instead of wasting endless amount of time on even thinking how I should speed the process of boat making up!

"Bring me to those craftsmen of yours. This speed will get us nowhere."

If I wanted to ever finish this mammoth task, I had to somehow speed it up. Even if it means going out by myself and mass-producing the boats for as long as I could produce a single strand of entropy, there was no way I would let this matter drag for so long!

While saving those people and moving them to my dimension would power me up, taking the burden of keeping my evolved predator's mindset in check from Bonger's virtual shoulders was just as important, prompting me to put killing some exp-bags accidentally named overlord's minions at the same priority!

"Sure, but can I ask for one thing?"

With how distressed I was by the current situation and how she failed my expectation, this lass still though she was in a position to make requests? But still, considering the fact that she managed to organise all those people, bring them to this exact place and even attempt to make them do the last part of the job, actually made her contribute quite a lot. If it was some random person in her place, even forcing all of those people to get to the shore could very well fail!

"Okay, but only when we will move everyone to the island. For now, we have to get to work."

If I could do something about the number of boats, or better - increase the number of tools accessible to this vast pool of manpower and teach those primitive people about how easy making those canopies was in reality, then the progress of this work would surge!

"Ah, before that, tell me, what is that request of yours? After all, it's not like I will be capable of granting everything in this world."

It was my mistake to agree to it before asking what did she want in the first place, but with how my mind was busy with the constant clash of Bonger and my ability, looming danger of Overlord losing his patience and going out of his way to pick a fight with those people and the burden of moving them out to my island, my head wasn't clear enough to be wary of such traps.

I could only thank myself for catching up to this potential pitfall only a moment after agreeing to it, which gave me the chance to both refuse it and save face if her wish would be too over the top!

"It's nothing much. I just want you to publicly possess me so that everyone will acknowledge that I'm the princess!"

Wait, what?
