With how the portals were just a thick fog of my energy while unactive, I didn't need to worry about anyone seeing them. And if that was the case, why bother sneaking through all this thorny path, gliding over the walls while once again alerting everyone with my shockwaves…
If I could simply open the portal directly to my room?
While at first, my mission on the other side seemed to take a lot longer than I expected it to take, in the end, I still had almost an entire day before my faked cultivation would have to finish, so that I could go out and challenge the cultivators from the other sect and faceslap their treasures out of their hands.
But contrary to how it looked like, creating this portal and aiming it perfectly to my room wasn't something that I could do while half-asleep or distracted. While I had the silly experience of creating the portal once, I only moved through a short distance, basically moving past a single set of wall and barrier. Yet now I was going to try to do a leap over not only all the distance that separated me from the city, but all the way to the halfway points on one's road to the peak of one of the mountains!
Sitting down beside where the deactivated portal seed rested, I once again amassed my energy, soaked all the entropy from it and condensed it to the point where the fabric of the space itself couldn't contain it any longer. Taking this point as the start, I continued to expand the hole by amassing more and more of my energy at the borders of the stable space, turning it into a sphere that could easily envelop me whole.
Yet instead of taking an aim and throwing it like a tennis ball into the distance, I locked all the energy flow between me and the orb to keep it stable and immersed myself in the memories of travelling from the city directly to this place.
Marking the route step by step, I keep modifying the angle and approach of the straight line that connected my real body with the imaginary position in space of my mind. Soon enough, I already crossed by the city walls, now turning more and more anxious as after covering large swaths of time with relative ease, now it was time to turn into more precise adjusting.
Recalling the road on which I first enjoyed my gliding, climbing back the mountain that leads to Monica's mansion and finally reaching the chamber where I was supposed to be cultivating, I made sure that both the distance and the angle of approach were clearly defined in my mind, before suddenly retracting my consciousness from this imaginary world.
But now I faced another wall. How could I tell whether the orb already reached its destination or not? Last time, it was enough to just wait a short moment for it to completely disappear from my eyes and reach its desired place, but now rather than just a few paces, it had to cover quite a lot of distance!
With no other option than to wait, I still had to keep my focus to make sure nothing would happen to the either of the parts of the sphere, otherwise, all my efforts so far would be rendered useless!
Yet as the sun continued its long and lonesome journey through the skies, I realised how stupid my current problem was. If I was supposed to wait here longer than it would take me to manually skip past all the detection and sneak back into the room, what would be the point of creating a portal in the first place?
As a new bout of motivation entered my mind, I stood up, patted Pengu's cute, little head poking out of the pocket of my robe and decisively stepped inside the portal of my making!
After the obvious moment of disorientation, the lush forest area turned into the sad and ugly walls of my room, with the copycat body of mine still sitting in the lotus position on top of the bed with its eyes closed and penis erect. This last detail was something I added for fun, just to make Monica curious if she dared to interrupt my cultivation after going so far as to make it as peaceful for me as she could.
In the end, wouldn't that be fun if she ended up bonning herself with nothing more than my energetical barrier?
But since I was finally back in my room, I quickly sucked back all the energy out of both ends of the portal sphere, realising that somehow, there was no delay between each half of the magical power returning back to my core!
Yet with everything that was going right now through my mind, there was no way for me to pay it any attention. With Pengu in my breast-pocket, I cancelled the illusion and got rid of that stupid clone of mine, before reaching forward to open the door…
And accidentally causing a wind so powerful that both the doors and the barrier that was supposed to protect me collapsed into dust!
Only now realising that I forgot to limit my statistic, I raced against the time putting blockades on my own capability. Yet this time, I couldn't just go back to my older strength. Not only I was supposed to finish my cultivation by stepping outside, but just this discharge I made would make it impossible for me to explain if I didn't pretend to grow way stronger than how I was just yesterday!
I guess the time to flaunt my strength finally came!
