"Impossible..."

While initially, it was the girl that was backing out from me, when I finally saw her face, it was my body that instinctively dashed a few steps away. All the possible meanings behind what I just saw were too hold for me to handle.

"What's wrong?!"

Seeing how I backed out, despite just forcing her to come out, the girl in front of me started to panic.

I just managed to round her up to use her knowledge to my advantage. Yet, the second she revealed herself, my attitude changed completely. It was given that she would be startled by this sudden change!

"What's your name? Or rather... What's your father's name?!"

Recollecting my wits back, I stopped my retreat and stood my ground. Looking at the girl's face again, I confirmed that this wasn't just a fleeting feeling.

The colour of her hair was way more saturated, being closer to the golden blond instead to the platinum one. But looking at her eyes, her ears, her delicate lips...

The more I looked I her, the more convinced I was about a single thing!

This girl was an almost one-to-one copy of a less refined version of Eve!

"My father's... I'm sorry, but my father died before I was born. I grew up with my mother and brother alone. If you claim to have killed everyone in the ancestral grounds, then outside of my mother back in the provincial capital, only I'm left alive in my family!"

As she spoke those words, the girl in front of me clenched her fists, as if trying her best not to let the notion of her brother's death shake her in such a dangerous situation.

But how the heck could that be?

Even if her words about her father were a lie, just from how she spoke about provincial capital or something, it was evident that she was from the continent!

Despite never visiting it yet, the few lines I read in the manual a moment ago, were enough to confirm that said continent had nothing to do with the first cultivation land that I reincarnated in!

But if that was the case, how could her father share the same blood as Eve's father?! Was it all just a coincidence? After all, I have yet to find out how vast and how populated this world was. Still, going by the cliche developments of all sorts of cultivation novels I read, there was a massive chance that this world was far more populated than the earth!

"Okay, forget about it. It's not like I can figure this out right now..."

While I said those words, I couldn't help but think about one possibility. So far, I wasn't looking for a new body for my fiance due to all sorts of problems. From the danger of being unable to properly use it, through the possibly lacking talent to how complicated this process would be in the first place.

But if this random guess of mine, prompted by this strange feeling of familiarity would turn out to be right...

No, I can't think like this! If I'm right about this, then this girl is nobody else but Eve's half-sister! Even if I could use her body to hasten Eve's resurrection, my dearest fiance would never forgive me doing something like that!

"Anyway, let's go back to the first question of mine. What's your name? And you can tell me what the heck were you doing in this place."

Pushing all the matters regarding this girl heritage to the back of my head, I focused on the current moment. Maybe after learning everything there was from both her experiences and the library itself, the visions that would come could enlighten me about this problem as well?

"I'm Celleria. I was brought to this place to obtain the classification for the librarian. If I were to work on the continent, the necessary practice period would be far longer, so I took this opportunity up."

Shrugging her arms, she had to realise that either because of some realisation that struck me when I saw her or simply because she didn't pose a threat to me, she didn't have anything to be worried about.

"If that's the case, why did you attack me in the first place? Was this place off-limits or something?"

If her claim that she was working as the keeper of this place was true, then what was the reason behind her aggression?

"Well, the moment my connection with the ancestral grounds broke, I realised that something was amiss. Initially, I thought about hiding some of the more valuable manuals and books to prevent them from being stolen before I would look for a way to return to home, but before I could finish this task... You appeared."

Once again shrugging her arms, Celleria looked at me with her eyes filled with curiosity. Seeing this sight, I couldn't help but feel the pain of having my memories of Eve looking at me in the same way, reappear in my mind.

"Ask what you want to ask now because I don't have all that much time. If you don't have any other questions, let's get to work."

While I still had my doubts about whether this girl was in any way connected to Eve, it wasn't like I could find the answer anytime soon. Unless I would achieve some kind of breakthrough in terms of understanding how this world operates, I was stuck with what I already knew.

"While I would love to know how did you manage to triumph over so many experts... I don't think you will give me the answer, would you? So let's get right to what you want, but in exchange, I hope you will help me get out of this place!"

Since she possessed the knowledge that I sought, along with the huge chance that most of the books that I would find usefull for my case most likely already hidden by her, she held a considerably strong position right now. While I could use some of my means to get the information I wanted from her head, just by merely protecting her and allowing her to move back home wasn't any problem for me.

After all, if I could manage to convince her to help me out, I would get a proper guide to an entirely new land before even going there!

"Let's start with general knowledge. What can you tell me about the continent?"
