It wasn't that this strange ball of void exploded. In fact, if one were to describe it like that, he or she couldn't be any further from the truth. Because at first, nothing really happened!

That is unless we say that a huge hole appearing in the very fabric of the universe could be categorised as complete lack of events! But as great this occurrence was, for me, it seemed as if the time itself was disturbed by it, allowing me to keenly observe the drastic changes that continued to appear in the face of the world!

At first, the one thing that happened was a chunk of the space itself disappearing. It was as if the ball of the void was so perfectly heavy and dense, that it turned into a damned black hole, swallowing entirety of everything that just so happened to be in the place it occupied, along with that place itself.

But the fun, or rather, overwhelming part started only then!

Wave. That was the only word that came to my mind when I realised what was going on. An immense wave of entropy surfaced from the face of the void, instantly eating away at all the air, magic and space that surrounded it. In that very moment, it felt as if my action of bringing the void itself to the material world would result in the entire universe being eroded by the endless flow of the entropy!

But that didn't really make any sense! From what I learned in my visions, the entropy was just the other end of the energetical scale of the magic, while the void was the perfect state of energetical equilibrium! As such, it should be impossible for the void to endlessly produce void out of nothing!

And just like I imagined, in just a short moment, the powerful wave of entropy was suddenly stopped by the self-defence mechanism of the world, pressing and condensing it right back into the ball of void. It looked just as if someone were to fill a cup with water, and then poke a hole in its surface with his finger! While the water didn't have the will to defend itself, just the natural laws that governed it would make it mend the ripple in its surface!

But just as I was about to breathe with relief, I realised that it was by no means, the end!

Despite all the devastation that this quick appearance of the entropy caused, as soon as it was all squeezed back into the hole of the void, a new wave appeared! But this time, as if to confuse and piss me off, it was extremely pure and dense magic itself!

Once again, as soon as it appears, I could see the space itself cracking under the immense pressure of this extremely condensed magic. But inevitably, in just a few splits of a second, all the magic had to succumb to the overwhelming pressure of the world itself, once again being squeezed right back into the void.

But there was no force that would prevent the damages to be done!

With each cycle repeating, I could see that the area where the event was happening was turning more and more fragile. If not for the fact that each successive wave was just a bit smaller than the last one, I could see the entire area of the space itself collapsing, repeating the mayhem that happened to the ancestral grounds of the heavenly city… But this time, it would happen to the entire damned universe!

"Bart! What's going on?"

As I was focused on the ongoing apocalypse, Eve came running to me, with her posture and aura indicating that she was ready to either fight or flee if that proved to be necessary. But as much as I wanted to just leave this place and move somewhere as far away as I could, I knew that doing so would prove to be disastrous.

Whether space would manage to overcome the ordeal and mend itself back to how it should be, or whether it would all reach the brink of the collapse forcing me to actively use my own magical energy and entropy to counteract the influence of the recurring waves, I had to remain here and be ready to react in a way that would prevent the potential disaster from spreading to the entire universe. After all, if the world itself were about to collapse, running away to its opposite end would be as effective as hiding behind a damned tree in the face of a nuclear explosion!

"For now, keep calm and don't disturb me. I tried to test something, but now I need to be careful to not let the entire world collapse on itself!"

Throwing a few words together to create a plausible explanation of what was happening, I once again focused my entire attention on the disaster in the distance. But as if to laugh at how I dared to worry about the entire universe, I could see that despite all the devastation that happened in the direct proximity of the ball of the void, the world itself was still capable of easily repairing it at a pace far greater than the destruction could even achieve!

But I didn't dare to let my guard down. The smaller the waves of both magic and entropy were, the quicker the apperance of their successors were. It appeared as if the speed and size of the waves had always mutliply to a same constant, making me worried about what would happen when the entire process would reach the speeds of such magnitude, that despite all its overwhelming strenght and rpessure, the universe would simply be unable to cope with the pace!

POOF!

Once again, all my worries only served for the world itself to slap me right in the face. Just who the fuck I thought I was to worry about the safety of the damned world? That was the message I could decipher from the fact that as soon as the waves turned too small, it seemed as if they were simply too weak to even appear against the natural pressure of the space itself!
