"Is this real? Or is this just a fantasy?"

Whispering to myself as I continued to observe this strange occurrence, I couldn't stop myself from gasping. Just the thought of the potential consequences relying on the answer to the question that I uttered was enough to axe my knees and make me fall to my knees.

Starting with the easier situation, if this was all but a fantasy, then that meant someone was capable of inducing this hallucination state on me. While by itself not dangerous to a degree, once someone would be able to use it in pair with standard techniques, my life and health could actually be at a grave danger!

But even this though waned when faced with the consequences of taking this situation for the reality. If there was a tiny hint of magic in the world where I originally came from if there was magic on the earth… That would change absolutely everything!

As I continued my observations, I was at least capable of confirming one thing. Either those projections of my mind, some actors or the real figures of my real parents, were unable to notice the flow of the magic in the room, or at least pretended not to.

In theory, this wasn't something that one could judge so easily. After all, all it took to render my observations completely pointless was some kind of culture that advocated for the spare use of said magic! But unless something like this was in place, then everyone capable of controlling this energy would unconsciously allow it to interact with one's own flow!

"Is this just a fantasy?"

While at this point, my memories of my original world were already quite hazy, I was at least able to confirm one thing. This place was most likely not real. Even with how little bastard I was back before maturing in this world, always seeking to push the blame on others and feeling entitled to the rewards and results just because I occasionally worked hard on something, this house…

This house was still my safe harbour. While I could tell that my parents' were not as worry-less as my kid-self always imagined them to be, in this spare time when they could focus their attention on the family, the atmosphere in the house would turn incredibly warm.

But right now? While I still have yet to believe that this entire thing was anything more but some sort of visions, I could clearly feel the sad and depressing atmosphere in the room!

Thankfully, or rather sadly, this problem was soon resolved. After walking around with no purpose at all, my father stood in place. Directly in front of the photo frame that contained the last photo taken of me back in that world!

"Dear, it's not your fault. You need to let him go."

Seeing the mute state of my father, my mother approached her husband from behind and grabbed him in a delicate hug. Running her hands on my father's chest, she continued to comfort him as slight shakes started to rock the two of them. Clearly, this picture indicated that it was in fact a reality!

"Mom… Dad…"

Stepping forward, I once again attempted to reach for them, only for the same effect of my body just phasing through theirs to occur. It was clear that while I was able to perceive the earth right now, this kind of connection only worked in one way!

"Dear… Did you just said something?"

Suddenly, my mother's body jerked, as if some strange surprise made her speechless and motionless at the same time. Yet, just as my father opened his mouth to answer, this strange reality broke apart, this time returning me with its falling pieces back to what I was most sure about calling my current reality.

"Don't freak out right now. It will take a moment before you will be back to your senses."

There weren't enough surprises for me today. Forcefully pushing my head to the side, I saw the person who I didn't expect to see at all.

"It's been a while, your lordship."

Right now, Makay didn't have any of the ethos of his role. Sitting right on the verge of the huge crater in the ground, he swung his legs leisurely in the void, relaxing in the last rays of the day's sun.

"Not a long while, I've got to say."

Compared to everything that I learned about this man before, the man beside him seemed to finally reveal his true colours. But not in a bad way. Right now, he gave off the vibes of someone who managed to accomplish his target, finally being able to sit down and relax to enjoy the benefits of finishing his task.

"Would you mind telling me what was this all about?"

Pointing my chin towards the hole below us, I looked with curiosity at the man. Given how he saw me in this place, he was bound to understand that I either interfered with this fight a bit or just happened to be unlucky enough to appear in a wrong time in a wrong place.

"The things you saw… Yeah, don't make such a surprised face. I know about those visions, although I don't know their content. Everyone sees something else. But you have to say, being able to finally see the earth again… Even if you can only see it, it's still a bliss, won't you say?"

Openly revealing his birthplace, Makay didn't seem to care about how he just let go of such vital information. From the light and relaxed smile of his, I could tell that right now Makay was high on the feeling that he just mentioned.

"So, where do those visions come from?"

This was the most important question. If I could understand the way in which those visions occurred, then maybe I would be capable of returning to the earth? Even if that meant giving up on all my power, then the safe environment of that home planet of mine was way more than just alluring for me to live my life with Eve there!

"While it's only a rough guess, it seems like the moment someone passes over to the god's realm, the boundaries of the entire universe… loosen a little. To make sure you understand, what you saw was not an illusion, but the vision of the reality that your heart was longing so much for!"
