After our daily ritual was done, we cleaned up and sat down for some more training. After using up all my mana and spirit stones yesterday, there was no need to pretend that we are both cultivating, but constant creation of destruction of barriers accompanied by a crescendo of shockwaves still had to be hidden.

Letting my previously bought abilities work on levelling my abilities, I immersed myself back to the ability storage to spend my freshly acquired points.

Eve's forwardness was a pleasant surprise and change to our daily routine, but it resulted in both of us being satisfied in the end. I get off properly with her mouth, while she enjoyed the sole fact of harvesting her yin essence.

In any other situation, we would still go at it for one or two more rounds, just for the sake of evening the pleasure equation, to never let the moment of harvesting feel like an annoying chore for either of us.

With only two thousand points in my system, I couldn't expect to buy something extreme, but my previous approach of finding proper components that would allow me to achieve a great effect with small steps could still be achieved.

"Do you think we should get the layout of the tower done first, store it in the dimensional ring and then just plant it when we will find a suitable place, or prepare materials but build it from scratch already in our destination?"

Using up the fact of how close we were, I whispered those words right in Eve's ear. Listening devices had to work based on some kind of mechanism or just a passive registration of voice, making it plausible to cheat them with voice silent enough, otherwise, I would be able to detect the fluctuations of the energy while they would be working. That's why despite this easy way to avoid being registered, we still preferred to just use vague terms and speak normally.

"We will need some immediate shelter, we have no idea what kind of place we will settle in. But other than that, I think it's better to build our home there already. This way we will be able to make it better suited for the land we pick."

"Speaking of place, do you have anywhere you would like to go?

With the decision to not join any sect already taken, I realised that we still had no idea where we would like to settle. Preferably, it would be somewhere deeper in the vast plains, so that we wouldn't be bothered by roaming bands and nearby civilisations trying to meddle with our business.

As soon as the tower would be set and secured, I would simply travel around to set waypoints for the teleportation array, making our home not only secure but perfectly connected to any place we would ever want to go!

"To be honest, I was thinking about going somewhere deep inside the forest… Do you remember the area with those strange monsters that we encountered all the way back then?"

There was no way I could forget. To this day, even if I was already strong enough to simply roll over them without sweating up, the memory of the encounter of that day was enough to give me chills.

"Of course I do, and while I think I know what you want to say, let me be frank, even if those suckers would be a great deterrent preventing any unnecessary visitors, I wouldn't like living in near them!"

I know this way of thinking wasn't pragmatic at all. The idea of mage tower was focussed on providing a safe haven for the caster, with all the defences necessary to ward off against possible enemies, all the tools required to practise a craft and enough utilities to live daily life.

With the exact order of importance in which I mentioned it.

The scary surrounding was just a way to improve one's defences, hence I didn't bother to list it out. In the end, if no one would visit a place, it would be a perfect hiding spot!

"How about gathering Pengu's tribe, journeying somewhere deeper, getting friendly relationships with some other beasts and then settling among them? Not only we would get natural guardians, but by cooperating with them, we could get our hands on various treasures, not to speak about hiding in plain sight! And well, in a case that someone would dare to try to invade those beasts… We would have a fifty-fifty chance of acquiring some essence-bags for you!"

I guess Eve to this day believed that I was some kind of beastmaster, capable of taming any monster that would come my way… It wasn't that I didn't want to clear this misunderstanding, but… there never was a good time to do so! At first, I had to put up with this farce to convince everyone else, then the topic shifted to other matters, then I forgot about it…

With my attention brought to the beasts, I looked to the side of the room, where one corner was occupied by a small, snowy castle in which Pengu resided. Maybe because of the effort of getting to the city or the stress of being comprehended, from the time when we finally got rid of the tournament problem, he inhabited a small shed, turned it into a kingdom of ice and continued to sleep there to this day.

Thinking about how powerful it was compared to me back in the Wandering Sword Sect, Eve's idea was actually great. With the help of our little friend, we could mediate with some other demonic beast tribes and just strike a mutually benefiting deal!

Compared to mindless beasts, magical ones were capable of thinking and reasoning. While taming them was an arduous task making this occupation relevant only after reaching the saint realm, it didn't mean that one couldn't talk matters with them and create an alliance of equals!

"I think asking Pengu for help will be the best way out of this situation…"

While I wanted to say something else, with my attention brought to the topic of moving away, I didn't even realise when the counters of my progress with my mage spells reached the limit.

"Blop!"

"Weak Barrier evolved into Barrier!"

"Weak Shockwave evolved into Shockwave!"

"Congratulations! You reached a Weak Mage stage!"

"There is a gift package waiting in your system storage!"

"Way of developing your spells changes your class to Control Mage!"

"Granting 200 spell points!"

"Unlocking second tier spells!"

"Unlocking crafting for first-tier spells!"

"Increases the quality of magic-related items crafted!"

Okay, what the hell?

Who are you and what did you do to my stingy Bonger?
