Damn it!

Not only did my class got forcefully changed to one I knew nothing about, just the fact that there was such a path in Bonger's depository, meant that it was something that I would eventually either unlock or achieve by following the normal route!

I didn't care about fancy names about some class being forbidden! If the God that summoned me and gifted me with this system didn't want something to be done, it meant that I would never be able to achieve it!

Even if the effects of my fire turned quite strange but effective, it didn't change the fact that I was clueless about my current possibilities.

Bonger, any info about my new class? I don't like how you are leaving me in dark in such a crucial moment!

"Blop!"

"Forbidden paths have such a name because they weren't included in the system guide."

"Chaos mage operates with chaos magic, based on the entropy."

"This deduction steems purely from the Host experiences and own knowledge."

Eh, so I can't blame Bonger for this… I guess it was a proper way of differentiating between an easy and a hard route of growth.

It was rather easy to accept that if someone was guided by hand through his entire life, he would never be able to achieve a level of mastery greater than the one who guided him along the way.

Even if the Chaos Mage path was something that divinity allowed, the fact that he or they officially left me alone with this only meant that I had to forge my own way forward!

I guess it would make any sense if these damn decorations were working in the first place!

With my attention mainly focused on my new trouble, I continued to rain fire down on those poor beasts, making sure that more and more energy would be delivered right to my parasitic core.

It didn't take long for those damned invaders to turn tail and repeat their previous tactic of hiding on the other side of the tower.

While I could prevent most of them from doing so, I was actually quite interested in the capabilities of my deployable tools there!

A round of desperate outcries that swiftly reached my ears when most of the beast escaped from the effective range of my personal attack, proved that those expensive tools were effective… At least to some degree.

Cursing my ill fate, I forced the fire-core to continuously rain fire in the circle around the remaining beasts. If I wanted to understand a bit of my new path, it came without saying that I had to do some testing!

The problem lied in fact, that my fire no longer stuck around. As soon as it fell on a dead matter like the ash covering all the area around the tower, it just disappeared. That's why despite how taxing it was on my energy, I continued to supply more and more mana into the core.

While doing so, I spun my mind around all the information I had about entropy.

From the interesting educational movies I watched back on earth, entropy simply meant chaos or disorder  - explaining the name of my path. But how could I implement it in a real-life scenario?

All normal magic and cultivation techniques required one to put his energy into specific order to achieve specific results. While I would love to test it out, I didn't have any opponent skilled in cultivation or magic around to prove whether my guess was right or wrong.

The nest idea that showed up in my mind was soo dangerous and disturbing, that I instantly ditched it away. Even if my tower defences are great, trying to disturb the order of the atoms could easily lead to the outburst of energy far greater than anything I was ready to handle. There was no point bringing the fate of Nagasaki on my head!

But thinking about pure science, made me realise that the order didn't limit itself to just atoms!

As if entire humanity was born from the idea of order from the ground up, everyone and everything consisted of atoms that were made of quarks in a specific order. Those atoms made up particles, that made specific matter, that turned into microbes, that made most of the humans and so on and so on.

If I remembered correctly, the worst part about dirty atomic bombs was about the radiation that disturbed the proper order of DNA chain in human bodies…

While I wasn't sure if I would be capable of reaching such level of precision, I was really interested how deep I would go if I tried to disturb the order of things in a living being!

Focusing my sight on one of the beats that remained surrounded by my circle of continuous fire, I gathered the energy in my palm, before trying to separate the entropy element, that made it soo dangerous.

At first, it was really hard. It felt like if I was trying to split two, flat and thin pieces of lego, tightly stuck together… with the help of a damn superglue!

Even if other people would consider it pointless and just drop the matter, I continued pushing my limits, until I finally succeeded in extracting a small bit of strange energy that was stirred inside the pure mana.

When I made my first step, the rest seemed like a downhill run.

More and more of this strange thing was gathering, quickly leaving me with a blob of untangible, pure mana in one hand, fire-core in front of my chest, and elusive force in my other hand.

As I contemplated how I should use those separated form of magic, I failed to notice that the amount of entropy I was holding quickly started to dissipate into the surroundings.

Only when I felt a strong sting on my skin did I lower my head to the ball of entropy, only to realise that not only its size has decreased in half, but the space surrounding it was filled with cracks!

It was then when I realised that testing the capabilities of chaos could wait.

There would be no point in calling myself a chaos mage if I couldn't safely store my special energy away in its separated form!
