Chapter 68 - Hunter Vs. Marksman.

The bullet left the gun's barrel like a cannon. Only a trail of smoke was left behind as the bullet flew and hit its mark.

Turmoil stumbled and felt the blue liquid covering his pale and sickly face.

''Eh...'' He looked stunned, but it didn't take long for him to turn into pixels.

''Fool!'' Chase shouted and aimed the crossbow towards swimming figure of Isaac.

Isaac tried to swim to the other side of the lake and enter the shore from there.

But Chase isn't planning to let him do that. Currently, Isaac is like a rat trapped in a cage.

*SWOOSH*

Chase squeezed the trigger and unleashed a rain of arrows towards Isaac's unguarded figure.

Isaac took a glance behind him and paled, he quickly submerged in the water and tried to dodge the arrows in the water, but a few lucky shots pierced through his legs.

''Blurp... Blurp...'' Isaac widened his eyes in shock and forgot to keep his mouth shut. His throat and mouth were soon filled with water, making him feel like he was choking!

Chase looked at the surface of the water and couldn't see what was inside the lake.

The lake was glowing with such intensity that it was already hard to look at it directly.

*SPLASH*

The water splashed in front of him, and a sharp projectile pierced through his shoulder.

''Motherfucker!'' Chase cried out.

Isaac quickly appeared on the surface of the water. He quickly swam to the shore and left the lake.

Two arrows were still stuck on his legs, making his mobility difficult.

Chase clicked his tongue and looked towards Luck, ''Heal!''

Luck tapped the ground with her cane, and suddenly, a green color started spreading around Chase's body.

Chase looked at the figure of Isaac on the other side of the lake.

Isaac bit his lip and pulled the arrows from his legs, it caused him more HP, but it was worth it.

Isaac threw the arrows to the water and glared towards the man who was holding a crossbow.

''Why are you attacking me?!''

''You are either foolish or blindly confident in your ability to come here as a solo player. You are free prey, and now it's time to hunt the prey.'' Chase reloaded the crossbow and aimed it towards Isaac.

Isaac gritted his teeth and started running towards the left. In the distance, he saw a small boulder, which could be used as a hiding spot. He didn't see it previously because the bright light of the lake made the other side of the cave very hard to see.

*SWOOSH*

A rain of arrows flew through the air, but a few of the arrows was a lot off course.

Isaac quickly crouched and heard the sound of arrows flying past his head. He quickly stood up and continued his journey towards the boulder.

''Fuck! The lake is making the visibility shit! Let's move.'' Chase said and started running around the lake.

Luck followed behind him, but she was quickly left behind because her agility stat was greatly lacking.

Isaac arrived at the boulder, he quickly dropped his Flintlock Pistol, but the countdown will still continue.

He took the Common Flintlock Pistol and peeked towards Chase and Luck.

He saw Chase running like being possessed, and it won't take long for him to reach his position.

Isaac took a deep breath and aimed the gun towards Chase.

*BANG*

The bullet left like a cannon, and soon it was already in front of Chase.

But, he did something Isaac had never seen before.

Chase grabbed his two axes and swung them towards the bullet!

The bullet hit the steel blade of the axe and bounced away!

The bullet crashed on the ceiling, making a few of the blue crystals crack.

Chase's face had a mocking smile. He now knows that Isaac has no bullets left!

Isaac can't use the weapons he got from the Marksman he killed, he can only use his two Flintlock's, and both of them are on reload!

Isaac looked at his reloading time and only 5 seconds remained... But Chase will arrive in his position in 3!

''Fuck it!'' Isaac took a sword from his Inventory. Even though he can't deal any damage, maybe he can stall a few seconds!

He threw his Common Flintlock on his Inventory, and grabbed the other one from the ground, and strapped it onto his waist.

Doing that cost enough time, and Chase had already arrived on the boulder.

He swung his axes, planning to deal a swift finishing blow.

Isaac gritted his teeth and swung his sword! The two axes and one sword collided, and the winner of that collision was...

Chase!

Isaac felt his hands becoming numb, and he was sent flying because of the impact of Chase's attack.

Chase snorted, ''Have you not spent any Stats on Strength?! Fool!''

Isaac crashed on the hard ground of the cave and lost even more HP.

Isaac stood up with numb arms, and his beautiful face morphed into anger.

''Strength is not everything!'' He shouted and threw his sword towards Chase!

Chase quickly swung his axes and deflected the flying sword.

The sword fell on the ground next to Chase.

*Ding* *Ding*

Isaac's face finally had a small smile. He stalled enough time.

[Reloading Is Ready!]

Chase saw Isaac reaching towards his pouches.

''Not so fast!'' Chase put his axes back on his waist and grabbed his crossbow. He instantly fired a dozen arrows.

Luck arrived next to Chase with an exhausted look, she looked at her cooldown time, and only 10 seconds remained until she could heal again.

Isaac stopped trying to reload. He knew that he wouldn't survive.

The arrows were already reaching his position with deadly speed, and dodging was out of the question.

Chase shot the arrows in the way, which made them block every escape Isaac should have.

Isaac was sure that he was facing against Pro Player!

He watched as the arrows closed on him, and it looked like it will be time for his second death...

But then....
